KIRO Radio 97.3 FM

This station is it! I used to listen to music a lot, but when I got stationed in Seattle… wake up! Dori and Jake keep me laughing even after retirement from the Army. SEATTLE GET A NEW MAYOR, and DJ (Dori and Jake) continue the fastest15, the end is near, and the vids you post. I now live in Arkansas and can listen whenever I want via podcasts. Sweet!

Love Ron & Don

Bring back the oldies music format. There is too much talk radio already.

I’ve listened to KIRO for several years. I think the variety of the various shows is very good, except the Ron and Don show. Over the past couple of years, that show has declined significantly. The rub is Don. He talks over everyone, pontificates with blatantly incorrect details as though they are facts. Either is ignorantly stupid, or simply greatly misinformed is difficult to say; but there is little fact checking on his part.
What is bothersome is, from my perspective, Don’s credibility has gone to zero. I can’t even listen to the ads he does which air on other KIRO shows with any sense of believability. There have been numerous simply wrong factual statements on so many major topics. I know KIRO has no duty to properly inform people and it’s all about money and it’s a show not a news program. But there are people who take these incorrect sound bites as gospel! I challenge the management to carefully listen to the show and can’t help to think that they would come to the same conclusion; unless the station manager is Don’s relative.
I do like the Ron and Gone show! When Don is not there I will listen to the show! So for now I now listen to music or other drive time shows when the incredulous duo is on. I punch KIRO back in the AM. I won’t use any of the advertisers endorsed by Don.
I have to say the Jason Rantz show is what reporting should be. He’s a fact checker, doesn’t let his opinion cloud the issues and has interesting topics. He’s an outstanding choice if you’re out and about in the evening.

I listen to and enjoy all the shows until 3:00 every weekday. I turn to NPR at 3 because of the un listenable Ron and Don show. It is unfortunate that I have to hear Don O’Neils horrid radio voice on so many commercials though. Otherwise it is a great radio station

My coworkers and I used to listen to the ron & don show during the end of our day but when Rachel Bell (sp?) started being a regular on their show that stopped. I think the issue is her nasally valley girl voice that confusingly spits out hipster comments.

Since Linda Thomas is gone, time for update review, Still dont like the Ron and Don show– they are just AWFUL and cant understand why they are still on KIRO (Specially when KIRO has gotten rid of better talent)
Dave Ross is still pretty good, although I disagree with his views 95% of the time lol.
The John and Tom show following Dave is great and love the two together!
And then there is Dori Monson– love listening to him
After Dori is off, I switch stations since i cant handle listening to Ron and Don for more then 5 minutes.

I should update, as the wife and I have been tens since the get-​go.

The TBTL podcast does get me my fix.
Dave Ross’ show was quite good and has only gotten better since it became Ross and Burbank. Truly.
For the most part, I like the «weekend» content. Tom and Thierry are charming.
Ron and Don are useless.

For a self proclaimed news based station KIRO FM is lacking in all
areas. Ron and Don are the best ad for KOMO FM.
When I try to listen at drive time for my news
, traffic and weather, I can only stand the R and D act for
so long before the dial gets changed.

Coast to Coast with George Noory won’t be on until Monday night (01-​03-​2011), but I’m very excited about it so I’m giving the station 5 stars now! It’s about time someone thought of switching the late-​night talk radio show out of a static-​noise-​challenged AM station and onto FM where it belongs. I just hope Ian Punnet’s weekend show comes along, too. He’s one of the best inteviewers on the radio. btw, if you’ve never heard of this radio show before, it’s ok… it just means you’re not an insomniac like me :-)

When I get in my car this is the station my radio is tuned into! I think I enjoy it so much because of all the differ ant shows. My all time fav. was TBTL! I was in Europe the night they announced that they would no longer be on and my friend sound recorded it and texted it to me… I actually shed a tear, while in Europe over TBTL! Now my new fav. is Ross and Burbank, there is something about Burbanks voice and personality that draws me in. The Dori Monson show can get a little annoying sometimes but its usually because I disagree with him. The only show a absolutely hate, but still listen to in order to stay awake driving home is that Allen Hunt show that they have playing. Geez that guy is horrible! But the others weigh it out and 4 starts it is!

Dori, Dave, Ron & Don are all great. but Shiers is a total BORE! TBTL was awesome, and now it’s gone. Otherwise i’d give 5 stars. Kiro covers local news pretty well, and the personalities mentioned above seem to a good job of playing a bit of both sides of the fence.

I don’t usually give negative reviews but News Talk Radio doesn’t belong on the FM band or even on the AM band anymore and especially, when it replaces a great oldies music station like KBSG
which used to be on 97.3 FM. There, I’ve said it!

The ad load is unbearable. The callers are from a certain gene pool who parrot things they hear elsewhere. They need to fire everyone and start over with less intrusive advertising.

First of all I just love the Dave Ross Program, barely tolerate the Dori Monson show, mildly like the Ron & Don Show… but truly can’t stand the Luke Burbank Too Beautiful to live daily ego – thon.
It is very poor and isn’t getting any better.
The two hosts constantly talk baby-​talk which is annoying, they are way too immature for this time slot, constantly pre-​occupied with alcohol and awkward sexual situations (which aren’t ever funny), the Luke Burbank guy is so impressed with himself and he just goes on and on about mindless drivel. There is no substance in his comments.
This is the great station that features Dave Ross and has had Jim French and Bill Yend and these two (Jen and Luke) are so weak and so ego-​centric, it’s like they are getting ready to go to their first prom and have to weigh themselves for some unknown reason and have a tiny stash of booze and are sharing with everyone their new pimple cream.
I’ve grown very tired of all their lame Ballard jokes and constant childish cuts and annoying radio theme music.
Kiro can do so much better.
