Laff Hole

Pretty decent night of comedy. Features a nice line-​up of locals and some out of town guests. The location at Chop Suey is nice. There is LOTS of seating available as long as you arrive by 9pm (doors open 8:30pm). They’re currently sponsored by a local brewery and distillery, so some good drink specials, too. It’s a very nice way to spend a Wednesday, but man, you’ll be tired the next day at work. Worth it!
$ 10 advance tickets (but with $ 4 service charge) or $ 15 at the door. They do the show every other weds, I think.

Evil clowns and misfits are running this outfit and its wonderful.
I have been a few times and they are consistently a fun place to be. Five to Eight comedians and over half of them are semi-​pro. Not semi-​pro in that they are popular. Semi pro in that they could be if they stick with it.
This is not a losers festivals of uncomfortableness, with some awkward first timer, swear word party guy, trying his shtick at comedy. No this is Sometimes, Dark, sometimes edgy and always good. Also, be prepared for experimental abstract in left field comedy. As Patton Oswalt would say «there is a mic and I can talk into it. YES! Finally the demon monkeys in my hair can speak to the world»
No you will not see Patton Oswalt here. But if you like him you will like Laugh hole.
Laugh hole I believe Is part of the peoples republic of komedy founded by Kevin Hyder and Emmet Montgomery. I have seen Black Daisy perform as well as Andy Peters. What is great is you can become a fan of someone that you will see around town and have drinks with. They are all super sweet and genuinely nice people.
I do have two complaints for laugh hole;
Quit bringing LA losers up to headline. We have plenty of amazing local talent and the times I have been the out of towners bomb, while the locals get all the laughs.
The other complaint is Wednesday night from 9 — midnight is pretty rough on us folks with the «paying» jobs. You might sell more tickets and CDS if you play to an audience that has money. You know, 9 – 5 people, who cant be up drinking with you amazing crazies until 1am on a Wednesday night.
God but I will probably still date you, your so quirky, cute and weird.
Oh yeah and for 5 bucks! Total steal.

Yeah! Funny. The opening band was well worth the $ 5 entry fee, so by the time the comedy started I felt that I already had my money’s worth. And it wasn’t even my money! Thanks, Devrim!
Their myspace page tells of the peoples republic of komedy, so I don’t know if they go by the same name or what. Who cares, they are cool, I’ll go back.
