We are one of the largest self-​serve laundromats in the central Seattle area, located on Capitol Hill. Our laundromat is fully attended, clean, and we offer a variety of washers and dryers, from single load washers up to a 62lb (about 5 – 6 load capacity) machine. We offer an Early Bird Special M-​F from 8AM-​11AM when all single load washers are $ 2.00 (regularly $ 2.25).

We also offer a drop-​off service and are usually able to turn your order around within the day. We charge $ 1.30 per pound with an 11 pound minimum. We separate colors from whites, and we will go through your pockets so that you don’t lose any loose change or important receipts and so that we don’t accidentally wash your iPod.

History

Established in 1988.

Formerly known as The 12^th Avenue Laundry, this laundromat is under it’s third ownership. It is now called Lather Daddy, and our goal is to make your laundry experience as clean and fun as possible, and we hope to be able to give back to the community that we serve.

Meet the Business Owner

Tina M.

Business Owner

Tina has a background in bellydance and retail. She owned the Centerstage Dance Shop in the University District for 8 years. In 2009, she decided to sell the dance shop and pursue a different business model that would allow her more time to focus on her various creative pursuits, and so she decided to go into the laundromat business. In addition to running Lather Daddy, she is going to school and will be starting the naturopathic medicine program at Bastyr in 2014.
