I’ve taken a few lessons from Calico. She put together a fun little routine for me to practice. She is very patient and she goes super slow until i start to get the hang of things. She is a great instructor. I’ve really learned so much about dance and movement from her in just the short time she’s been working with me.

My boyfriend and I took lessons in both Swing and Lindy Hop from Calico, and I can’t recommend her highly enough as a teacher. It’s rare for someone so talented to make her art so accessible to others. Calico is so friendly and approachable, I never felt self-​conscious about asking questions or asking her to repeat steps. Calico brings such joy to teaching dance, you can’t help but get swept up in the fun! Five stars, two thumbs up!

I’ve been taking private beginning dance lessons for a few months now from Calico … what a blast! She is incredibly insightful, enthusiastic, and personable. Her ability to clearly give instruction and feedback while maintaining a positive, upbeat attitude is refreshing. Calico has helped me to think outside of the box, and has encouraged me while I’ve made amazing progress… even as a beginning student with some physical limitations. I really enjoy her as a dance instructor, and would recommend her highly to anyone! Five Stars!!!

Calico is amazing. In the space of an hour, she will teach and transform your dance and entire way of life. She is equally at ease and in her element instructing leads or follows, in a variety of vintage and contemporary dances. She possesses a unique genius, perspective, and sympathy that makes time spent in her presence a gift and delight. Don’t miss an opportunity to take classes with one of the best dancers and dance instructors on the west coast.

I’ve had private lessons with a variety of dance instructors, and out of all of them, Calico is by far the most perceptive and most able to instantly understand the things I need to work on, and how best to get where I need to be.
She’s relaxed but focused, silly but passionate, and consistently helps me make my dance be the best possible.
