Le Frock

Went in looking for a dress for an Oscar party. Would have loved some help. Not very friendly or helpful. They do have some beautiful unusual stuff but…

Le Frock is for sure on my list of favorite consignment shops in Seattle. They have a great selection of things and I love being able to find one of a kind pieces. I try to stop in whenever I am in the area. I was very happy to see that they have extremely fair prices for the quality clothing that they have.
I like how they have their merchandise laid out so it doesn’t seem over crowded and you can actually see everything. I have had a good experience with the staff every time I have been here.

i was expecting to see some good labels like cdg or prada based on a review but there really wasn’t much i was interested in.
i just saw some typical consigned brands though i saw potential in the selection.
apparently they rotate their stuff a lot so i guess i’ll have to see another day.
customer service just whatever like kinda delayed greeting but they were still courteous.

I’ve been here twice now in passing on various trips in the year too look at clothes. Very high quality stuff for cheap. Customer service was okay. They do a decent rotation of items during the year, therefore, worth coming back for.

This place has charming packaging but I wish that charm had rubbed off on their employees. I had high hopes of selling them some high-​quality vintage items, and perhaps trading that for their wares. But I was turned off by their attitude that what’s hanging on their racks is the «be all and end all» of fashion.
When I brought in a batch of clothing for consignment, they were gracious about looking at it, at least initially; it was for the most part high-​quality designer items (Christian Dior suits, Chanel capri pants and Saks silk dresses), so that was as it should be. They are certainly entitled to their opinions, but they were so rude in their rejection, giving little style reason, that it left a bad taste. I ended up successfully selling 4 or 5 at Red Light Vintage and another 5 at Lucky Consignment that they were ‘too good for.’

While walking around on a perfectly dreary Seattle day I found myself wandering in here; I can’t believe I haven’t come here yet! This vintage consignment shop has a varied price range which is nice.
When I started looking at the belts that were right by the door, the sales lady buzzed over and got uncomfortably close to me to ask how I was doing. She then proceeded to show me, without my asking, a shirt from a nearby rack. Cute… but I wasn’t interested.
I give her credit for striking up conversation, but I would have prefered that she just let me browse.
Upstairs there is a wonderful selection of scarves and more shoes. I found a 70’s style scarf and beautiful yellow kitten heels, at which point I made myself stop looking because I was sure I would find more treasures.
My total was $ 50 and the highlight of my visit was when the same lady told me a fashion tip that blew my mind: use clip on earrings on plain pumps to make them unique. That right there will be the reason I return; little bits of knowledge that I most certainly will use.
I also like how she explained their big sale coming up and how it lasts weeks instead of the normal weekend.

What a cool store! Super beautifully curated vintage and consignment clothes in a bunch of different price ranges. And super enthusiastic owners who clearly love fashion and clothes. Picked out all sorts of gems for us, including a dolce and gabana blue velvet suit in my size, a gorgeous 1950’s Lilli Ann alpaca coat for my wife, brand new Alexander Wang wallets and a ton of other great stuff. We’ll be back. .. Tomorrow.

Some incredibly cute clothing! Some designer brands, expensive. Some very affordable clothing. they have colors dots on tags and percentages off different colors.

I’m torn on how many stars to give this shop. I love the selection although the prices are too high and the service was great the first time I went in but very rude and snooty the next two times. The one girl working there could barely look up from the computer screen to speak to me and pretty much dismissed me as I spoke to her. The other spoke to me in such a condescending way that I seriously couldn’t get out of there fast enough. Too bad, its a great shop.

This is a great little consignment store with a good mix of stuff. The woman who owns the store always pulls some extra stuff from bins in the back when I ask, especially mens ties. It’s fun to peruse and the new space is much cleaner, brighter, and less packed, so it’s easy to find things.
Prices are certainly higher than a thrift store, but the quality is higher too, so no big complaints from me. I’ve never tried to sell anything, but maybe I’ll try soon!

The people buying items for consignment were really inconsistent. I had brought a suitcase full of high quality vintage and designer items for sale last spring, and the gentleman buying them at the time suggested that I come back in the fall with a few of the items that were more appropriate for that season. I successfully sold more than half of the 12 items that were purchased in the spring, so I thought I would have good luck in the fall. Boy, how I was wrong. The shopgirl doing the buying was rude and gave no hints as to why she would reject something. When I said that the other buyer had told me to bring it in, she basically didn’t give a crap. It was a complete waste of time, especially because I don’t enjoy driving and parking in that part of town (unfortunately, hauling my suitcase on my bike is not really an option).
Red Light Vintage was more than happy to accept what Le Frock rejected. The buyer at Red Light even let me know that one of my dresses had fabric rot and should be tossed lest it contaminate everything else near it.

But to end with, I love it here. I found it to be stocked with things I’d be thrilled to wear, at reasonable prices, like someone went and sorted through things to find ‘just the good stuff’ and while it’s definitely not thrift store cheap, it’s also not thrift store stupid: real good items at about 25% of the initial price, not Target items for $ 20 like you find at the ‘high end’ section of thrift stores.
I would recommend it for folks who want to expand their wardrobes with more unique pieces-​tip: a mix of both vintage and new makes for the best style updates– and those whose tastes are much more expansive than their wallets.
Great for: Statement pieces, high end vintage, party wear, men’s fashion, shoes, wonderful shoes.

Sold a knock off Donney and Bourke purse, saying it was valued at $ 295, and asked $ 88.50 for it.
I ended up buying it from another consignment shop, but only because their tags were all over it claiming it was REAL. I’ve always trusted Le Frock until now.
I WILL NEVER COME HERE EVER AGAIN!!!
If you’re going to advertise that something is the real thing, BE SURE about that claim, I HATE DISHONEST, UNEDUCATED businesses.

This place is ok, but just a few steps better than a vintage/​used clothing store. There are some high end labels alongside some Kenneth Cole level items; and the prices are ok. But for those of you who are looking for truly high end consignment with great pieces, a great curatorial eye and a great overall style of presentation (and great prices), go to Alexandria’s downtown or Trouvaille in Ballard (which has men’s stuff too).
