As the eldest raised in a single parent home taking care of others is who she is. This passion to serve and make people feel good while delivering real results brought her into the field of Aesthetics.

The opening of Liberté Beauty is the manifestation of a dream to have a sanctuary in the city.

The practice of Aesthetics or «all things pertaining to what is pleasing to the senses» is a wonderful ongoing study. We believe in accentuating the natural beauty inherent in everyone.

As a fellow esthetician and sugar enthusiast, I cannot say enough about how great Liberte is. She is a kindred spirit and I’ve never felt more comfortable with a complete stranger completing services in what she calls ‘the magical lady place’. Hands down, the most efficient, least painful brazilian I have ever had. AND! After going to a different esthetician and developing a skin reaction (over time), whatever Liberte uses as a solvent and an anti-​inflammatory/​soothing spray has continued to heal and improve my sensitive skin.
I completely trust her and her knowledge of skin, sugar and all things beauty. Plus! Chatting with her is like chatting with a long time friend. I could spend all day in her cute space.

Liberte is hands down one of the nicest, most genuine people I’ve ever met. I’m really picky about estheticians and who I allow to touch my brows and I’m SO glad I found Liberte. I went with a simple brow tint for my first visit and she did an amazing job. She got the perfect color and actually knows how to keep the color on for 6 – 8 weeks. I immediately booked a BFF facial for my husband and I. Thank you, Liberte!!! :)

I’ve been going to see Liberté for sugaring for at least a year, and I will never, ever stop. She’s magic, people. Someone commented that she was «overly nice, so much so that it does not feel genuine». Girl, no. Liberté is one of the most open, bighearted, naturally loving people you’re ever going to meet, and that’s absolutely real. You’re never going to feel much more vulnerable than you do on a table with no pants on in the pure breeze, but she makes such a warm, safe space that you can’t feel self-​conscious. And she’s skilled as hell. If you go in for regular sugaring, you’ll find that there’s scarcely any pain at all, and she knows all the tricks to ease things. She’s funny, she’s kind, she’s generous, she gives to her community and the people around her. I CAN’T SAY ENOUGH. Go let this woman be sweet to your skin, and to you. It’s all real, and it’s the cushiest, loveliest experience. Recommend times a billion.

Liberte is a genuinely beautiful spirit and human being that provides that energy to any and all of her services. I have had brow and lip sugaring multiple times with great results, and recently a foundational facial that was simply put, yummy! The neighborhood is quirky, as one reviewer noted, but Liberte provides an oasis in the middle of the densely populated city. I appreciate Liberte’s pure spirit and integrity with her product and mission choices (thoughtfulness is applied to where products are purchased, how they are made, how fresh and the integrity of the business she is buying from — mostly small businesses in the U.S.A.). If you enjoy a great service with a kind provider, with no pressure to buy anything, this could be the person for you!

The aesthetician is overly nice, so much so that it does not feel genuine. She was working the entire time of my appointment, but mostly applying goop and then taking it off or massaging my extremities. There were no extractions done and I left my facial with every single one of the white heads/​black heads that I went in there with. This little shop isn’t in the best of locations, located between a homeless clinic and a vacant boarded up house — I heard yelling from outside while I was on the treatment table.
For a more effective treatment, I would recommend Susan Grace Skincare.

It’s hard to imagine looking forward to going a place where they rip the hair from an unspeakable area, but somehow, Liberte does it. She has creates the most charming, supportive and welcoming environment. She is funny, helps put you at ease, and does excellent work. After my first session, I swore I would never go anywhere else. I’ve been getting sugaring done here for over 6 months and I’m more in love after each visit. I can’t say enough wonderful things about this place!

The only person I trust to do my eyebrows! It’s a little pricier than other places but absolutely worth it. The beautiful vintage-​style décor and fluffy dog make for a great atmosphere, and she is a wonderful person to talk with. I really couldn’t recommend this place more. I came in a while back based on the great Unilocal reviews, and now I’m adding one myself!

Hands down best sugaring experience, ever! I just moved to the area from Cap Hill so was looking for my go-​to lady and Liberte is definitely her! Walked in and was greeted with a warm hug — had such a great time! I felt well attended to, she cares a lot! Also gave me some great recommendations and definitely will be back. If I could give 10 stars I would !

I’ve been meaning to write this review since I came here for my first facial weeks ago. I moved here from the east coast last year, and my skin has been really dry and a bit more congested than usual since then (although the first words out of my aesthetician’s mouth were «I don’t know why you’re here, your skin is perfect!» Flattery will get you everywhere with me). I was in the mood to pamper myself, so I booked an appointment here based on the other Unilocal reviews. What a good decision!
I felt that all of my concerns were taken seriously, and had an incredibly enjoyable experience. When I left, my skin glowed like the elves from LOTR. I didn’t need any extractions so I can’t comment on how they are done here. I have sensitive skin and severe nut allergies, and she was careful not to use anything on me that would cause a negative reaction. The owner is so sweet! I feel terrible for not remembering her name. I told her that I have trouble sleeping due to work related stress (I’m a social worker) and she sent me home with a complimentary bottle of lavender sleep spray she’s working on perfecting (it smells divine).
Considering that the facial also includes a shoulder, arm, and foot massage, I think the price is worth it (but I’m also from NYC where facials cost $ 400 so maybe I’m biased). There was no product pushing, and no guilt-​tripping about my current skincare regimen (or lack thereof). I left feeling refreshed and respected, and can’t wait to return.

I’ve been coming here for about a year and a half and have never been disappointed. I came based on the Unilocal reviews and stayed because of Liberté! She is so warm and caring. Her celebration of women’s bodies and lives really makes you feel more beautiful. She invests in high-​quality products (some she makes herself) which leave you feeling wonderful. I love how much attention she pays to little details that create an aesthetically beautiful experience from the moment you walk in the door. She has great taste and will spoil you with it!

I went here for lash extensions. She was very gentle and did a nice job. I tipped her $ 20 because she was nice and listened to what I wanted.
However, that night I fell asleep with a really sore eye. When I woke up the next morning my eye was red and felt like it had sand in it. I went to URGENT CARE, where a doctor informed me that she had SCRATCHED MY EYE and applied false lashes to my inner eyelids, rather than on top of my existing lashes, which gave me an EYE INFECTION.
I contacted Liberte to inform her and all she had to say was «I’m so sorry that happened!» At that point I had to actually REQUEST a refund to offset the cost of my doctor’s visit copay and the antibiotic eye drops. She called me back and offered me a store credit via voicemail. We played phone tag a few times after that. I left her a voicemail and followed up with a text a few days later, and I still haven’t heard anything. I was the last person to initiate contact, twice in a row. I haven’t heard from her since.
It’s sad, because she really gave me the impression that she cares about her clients. Her lack of professionalism and inability to follow up are indicative of SERIOUSLY QUESTIONABLE business ethics.
Needless to say, I will not be returning. If you want lash extensions without the disgusting infection, head over to Caroline’s Lash Boutique.

UPDATE: About an hour after posting this review, I received a nasty voicemail from Liberte in which she accused me of lying about this (she said my review was «blatantly false») and she said she was stunned at my «lack of integrity,» whatever that means. She also said that she was going to have this review removed. Apparently she doesn’t know how Unilocal works. I won’t be returning her voicemail. Too little too late.

After reading all the rave reviews, I went to Liberte for sugaring services. I can’t say enough about how much I enjoyed my experience there. Liberte herself is just a warm, friendly, and lovely woman who made me feel comfortable immediately. I’d never had any kind of hair removal service done before so I had no idea what to expect. She was great at explaining how it was all going to go and we just talked the whole time, it was very relaxed and conversational. I will continue to go here, she is great and seems very dedicated to her business and services.

Great service and inspired beautician!
Liberte made me feel immediately welcome and relaxed, offering water and tea and a chance to relax before starting. She also took one look at my face (blonde with very light/​nonexistent eyebrows) and asked if she could tint them as a treat. I said sure and love them!
Definitely a great little place.

I went in last month to get a maintenance Brazilian, which at most places is 5 weeks. But here it’s 4 weeks. The owner, I’m assuming, came out to greet me and casually mention that was the case. So, ok I’m not considered maintenance in your world.
Anyways got the service, which wasn’t bad and fairly quick. But as I’m paying she says I owe $ 120. What!?! That’s a ridiculous amount, but a huge difference from the maint. price of $ 65. When she popped out to inform me that I was not within her 4 week cutoff would have been a great time to mention the price difference. If I knew it would be that price I would have gone elsewhere. Way overpriced.

Have you been to see Lib yet? If not, you are going to the wrong place! I went all over the Seattle area before finding Lib and I will never go to anyone else in Seattle. She’s my forever girl for these important things!
I now live abroad and have had to deal with less-​than-​stellar services, making Lib’s appeal grow that much more in my mind.
Why do I adore her? She’s warm, comforting, funny as hell and so good at what she does. You can tell she is doing what she loves — and that is so comforting when you are in some vulnerable positions ;).
Go see her! You’ll wish you had met — and visited — this lovely lady much earlier!

Get a facial here, don’t think– Just do it!!! Do it right now (but not TOO many of you… I don’t want to have to book mine 3 months in advance if they get too busy).
Liberte is actually the name of the LOVELY owner! Cool name huh? She and Janessa are both literally the nicest people I’ve EVER met. They have relaxing voices and only have nice things to say about you/​everything ever. They’re not fake nice either, you can tell as soon as you meet them how genuine they both are and how innately sweet! Just being around them made me feel lighter and happier.
My friend and I got the BFF facial and I HIGHLY recommend it. It’s only $ 100 for both of you, you’re in the same room with someone working on each of you. I recommend wearing a tank top that you can pull the straps down to expose your shoulders– otherwise you have to disrobe and I’m a prude. It’s a great service because you and your friend can chat and laugh the whole time, or if you’re like us zonk out into relaxed blissful silence, peeking over at each other once in a while to check out how they’re looking with goo on their face. FUN!!!
Speaking of goo, the products they use smell WONDERFUL!!! You can read descriptions of services on their website for details, but basically they do several masks and between each one they gently remove the previous mask with a damp warm towel and then spray your face with rose water. Mmmmmm… They also describe what they’re using on you and it’s benefits without trying to sell you anything.
They’re very positive and only said nice things about my god-​awful skin; Janessa gave a phenomenal scalp, arm, neck, shoulder, face massage; and I left feeling and looking fresh and awesome for my Saturday night out. I was so happy I tipped 30% and we booked our next appointment on the spot.
PS. They’re super dedicated to Ballard and investing in the local community, buying local products, etc. Love it!!!

I discovered Liberte from Unilocal and all of the positive things people have said are true. I normally find places for facial treatments by starting with larger spas or the luxury hotels in the area but the reviews with Liberte were just the best and rightly so. I came in exhausted and feeling haggard and I left relaxed and my skin feeling rejuvenated. Liberte herself has a warm heart and is welcoming into her space. I will go back everytime I’m back in town.
