I actually came here twice back to back because of the gnocchi… They have one of the best gnocchi’s in town! There’s actually two of them on the menu, I came across the one off the food list that appeared to be ½ off during happy hour time. I think I’ll try the Gnocchi Rose(creamy tomato sauce) since the other with black truffle cream turned out well. Also off the happy hour, my group ordered the calamari, flatbread, clams and the best part, the bacon wrapped gulf prawns… I’m a die hard seafood fan so if you’re looking for some good dishes for nearly $ 4 – 8 I highly recommend this place. They also do wine by the bottle either white or red for $ 15! That’s a steal for when you have dinner with four girls. My first time here, the service was amazing and so was the second where I was reluctant to have the same waitress. She was friendly, attentive and even gave us an extension on the happy hour due to her forgetting to inform us about when it was over. I appreciate this small little place although it is really cramped and very dark. I tried to take pictures of my meal and it just didn’t happen. I think overall, it’s a sweet happy hour spot for those in Belltown before heading out for a night of drinking or with the deal, you can drink here!

EVERYTHING we ordered was spicy! I’ve been to Italy many times and I’ve never experienced food that was spiced hot like Thai food. Since I’m not a fan of spicy, this was not for me.

I’m not a fancy guy. Dick’s Drive In is more of my budgetary objective. But List gave me the opportunity to look like an actual fancy person in front of my girlfriend, who I was desperately trying to impress and hopefully make love to later that night.(Spoiler alert: nothing happened) How did I do it? List has this amazing happy hour that’s ALLDAYSUNDAYANDMONDAY. What the f***?! I couldn’t believe it. A bunch of food is 50% off, along with some bottles of wine. So did we go overboard? Maybe. Did we ball the f*** out? Yes. Did we eat like unabashed Americans? Ohhhh hellllll yeahhhh. Do I regret the burger and fries, sea bass, calamari, gnocchi, bacon wrapped prawns, and the bottle of wine? NEVER. All that shit, after tip, was like $ 50-$ 60. I don’t remember because I was wasted. I go hard in the paint. So what. Go here on a discount date night any time Sunday or Monday and have a lovely, delicious, gluttonous experience.

TL;DR version: I used to love this place but I’m never coming back after tonight. I **used** to absolutely love it here. The food, the service all of it. Happy hour this was my place — and I also loved coming here for everything from a night out with friends to a first date. About a year ago the food started to slip in quality. I let it slide because this was my fave place. About 6 months ago I came in and ordered the bacon wrapped prawns that are supposed to come with white beans and sautéed kale. Except the kale wasn’t kale it was some wilted inedible bitter veiny green(assuming it was romaine as that was the next veiny leafy green on the menu). I stopped being a regular shortly thereafter and would just splurge at Tavolata and get James Beard nominated service and amazing food that more than made up for the price difference just around the corner. Tonight however was the absolute final straw. I will never be back. I was in a party of 5 and sat in the direct middle of our group at the bar. The bartender knew one of our group and she was nearly immediately waited on and order taken as was the person to her immediate right. We all walked in together in conversation with one another. So the first red flag was after serving my friend the bartender skipped over the rest of our group to take the orders of the two people that were already sitting. At the bar when our group walked in. We had to ask for menus. We weren’t given any attention until we asked for it. Well, it was after the first two who had ordered got their food when it even registered with the bartender that the rest of our group would want to order food. When the food orders arrived later, they were all jumbled up so when they came out of the kitchen we had to direct traffic. The food was so so compared to my new favorite Ethan Stowell but whatever, it was happy hour and their gnocchi is good even if(on the regular) the garlic still needs a moment to not be al dente. Horrid service continued through the rest of the night. The bartender would check on people to the right of our group and our friend he knew on the left end, but not the rest of us. This was no different when we decided to head out. He grabbed the bill for the one of our group he knew and proceeded to ignore the rest of us. Because you know logically, a group that comes in together doesn’t want to leave together. At this point I lost my pretense for patience and damned near just paid the full bill for the remaining four of us. The bartender could sense I wasn’t happy and he asked if I wanted to get out of here and I said yes and this is what I’m paying for here’s my card. He rang my bill and then after I signed leaving zero tip(when I walked in ready to give a tip equal to my actual bill!!) and stood up but didn’t leave he commented«I thought you wanted to leave.» … What the literal f**k??? This snarky comment made me lose it so I said loudly something along the lines of «yes, I want to leave but I’m not in a hurry, you just ignored half of my group and we all wanted to leave not just the one person you knew.’ I also mentioned how I had planned to give a tip equal to my bill but I left him nothing and if he were good at his job he shouldn’t be shocked. Literally, I have never **ever** had worse service. Not even at an IHOP. I will never come back. And, I will discourage friends and fellow Amazon coworkers to frequent other well staffed places and this includes all sister restaurants to List. No thanks. Bye Felicia. Clearly, you never gave a hoot about my money anyway.

List is great for happy hour which I believe ends at 6:30! It’s a quaint restaurant, there will be some wait. More intimate setting and not great for parties larger than 5. Very modern with chandelier fixtures, dim lighting and damask walls. The service is considerably okay with some waving down for attention. Food does come out quickly! Quality of food-the gnocchi is what they’re know for and it was delicious! We also tried the shrimp wrapped in bacon, which I loved. And the calamari was way too salty for its own good. We only had a few bites. Menu is extensive and prices are definitely a happy thought.

It’s a bittersweet feeling when you try out an amazing restaurant out of state because when you return home, you can’t fulfill your cravings and that’s exactly how I feel with List! LISTISAMAZING. Five star service. Five star food. And that happy hour menu deserves six stars. My boyfriend and I came in around 10:30 pm and although I was aware they had a happy hour, I didn’t know they also had it from 9pm-midnight. Like what?!? This is too good to be true. What was even more too good to be true was that everything that I wanted to try from researching on Unilocal was on the happy hour menu! 50% off for delicious, unique dishes?! Someone pinch me. We got the octopus salad, eggplant parmigiana, Chilean sea bass, truffle gnocchi, meat balls and dessert that consisted of hazelnut ice cream, chocolate cake and strawberries. Wow. All of these dishes tasted so unique and amazing. Only the eggplant dish lacked a unique factor but it was still delicious. The octopus salad may be the best salad I’ve ever had. Light with explosive, tangy flavor. When you think you’re too full to get dessert, get the dessert anyway because mmmm that hazelnut ice cream. Everything tasted impeccable. I read another Unilocaler commenting on how the ambience was off because of how close the tables were and I concur, the tables were uncomfortably close to each other and I can definitely see how this place would be hectic during happy hour in the afternoon but luckily for me, there were only two other couples dining at the hour I came in. Come during happy hour during 9pm-midnight. Get Kim as your server, she’s cool and funny. Get what I ordered and you will get a five star dining experience.

Needed to update my review after the food I had last night. Chilean sea bass on happy hour? That deserves a one star bump by just about by itself. The chicken with mushrooms is also a great dish, really well balance of flavor and texture. With happy hour all day on Sunday and Monday, and my office less than block away, I’ll be back again and again!

I’ve mostly been here for happy hour but have also had full dinner as well. I’d recommend going for HH. They have a good portion of their menu that is half priced(HH until 6:30) so you can definitely piece together a few items to make a full dinner for pretty cheap. The food is really good also. My fav is the gnocchi rose. The flatbread is also great. And even the simple goat cheese and pear salad. The HH deals for drinks are only on beer and wine. But it’s $ 4 for a glass of HH wine or $ 15 for a bottle! Pretty decent! Sitting on the small front patio is really nice but it’s only really a few 2 tops big. We did squeeze in a 4 top once along with a couple other 2 tops but it definitely felt a little cramped. The interior feels fairly fancy(dark lighting, chandeliers, etc) but if you sit more towards the front of the restaurant(or on the patio) it has a more casual feeling. The whole space isn’t huge so it can sometimes be hard to get in immediately for HH or dinner without a reservation. The service isn’t super memorable for me — neither in a good or bad way so take that for what you will. Also a thing to keep in mind is that the food is delivered to the table«as ready». This means that each item is brought out individually as soon as it is prepared instead of all at the same time. This is usually ok if you’re doing HH where folks tend to share dishes or you order multiple items but when we came here for dinner it was a bit annoying. Three of us had our food and almost finished eating(we waited a while before digging in too) before our fourth person got their food. Writing this review reminds me that I need to get back here soon! :)

Recommend dishes: — Homemade gnocchi with black truffle cream: THISWASAMAZEBALLS! You heard me right! Every bite was heavenly and if we weren’t eating in public I would lick the plate too(no shame). This was truly the highlight dish of the night. — Spicy meatballs: Yes, there is a kick to it but boy this was the best meatballs I’ve ever had! It had the perfect texture and the seasoning was perfection. — Grill octopus salad: The octopus was very well seasoned but overall, I can live without this dish. Came during dinner time around 9pm on a Saturday and we had no problem getting a table since it was just the two of us. I really like the waitress that was serving us, she was so sassy! The food is amazing and I was very sad that I couldn’t get the opportunity to come here for their happy hours, which I heard was a steal! I really like their food, their services, and atmosphere. I cant wait to come back so I can eat here.

The happy hour at List is killer — one of the best I’ve had in a long time. All-day HH Sunday and Monday, but there’s a HH every night with a late night HH Tuesday through Thursday. There isn’t a separate HH menu; it’s exactly the same as their normal food«list»(get it?), just half off. Also during HH, a bottle of wine — ask what’s available — is $ 15, a glass of wine is $ 4, and a glass of beer is $ 3.25. So, pretty fantastic deals for food and drink lovers alike. I ordered(for myself) the grilled octopus salad, gnocchi with black truffle cream, and spicy meatballs. For as hungry as I was, this was a LOT of food for 1 person, so 2 – 2.5 plates per person is a better estimate than 3. But hey, I’m on vacation! The grilled octopus salad with the citrus emulsion dressing is so light and fresh and not exactly what I think of when it comes to Italian cuisine — it was a perfect way to start the meal. The gnocchi was fluffy in a decadently rich truffle sauce, and the spicy meatballs were a satisfying«main» course to fill me up. While I would probably hesitate to come here during non-HH times(it’s priced as any other tapas place I’ve been to), if I lived in Seattle and had a hankering for some good cheap eats in a not-cheap setting, List would be at the top of my… list.

List is just one of those cute little places in Belltown where you walk in and you feel like you’ve just awakened from a nap… and thought to yourself, «Where the heck am I?!». The place us beautifully decorated and dimly lit to give that romantic feel for all you mushy gushy lovebirds out there. If you want to wine and dine your potential future baby momma, this is the place to go. They have a wonderful collection to choose from. I’m not much of a wine person so I most definitely don’t come here to drink. However, this place is the shiznitz for happy hour since a whole bunch of their yummy food items are half off! I’ve had the octopus salad which was really tangy and yummy. The octopus was so tender! I’ve also had the seared ahi tuna, which I also enjoyed very much. The lentils and kale that came with it also tasted really good! Now, if you guys are still on the same page as me and wanting to seal the deal for your potential future baby momma, this is what your order: the gnocchi with black truffle cream. You can thank me in advance with a wedding invitation once you win her over with this dish. If she doesn’t like that dish, you gotta drop that snitch, ’cause that gnocchi is the best I’ve ever had! It’s so freakin pillow-y, fluffy and so dang creamy. It’s a freakin’ party in my mouth every time I eat it. List needs to be on YOUR must try list!

A solid 4 stars for the food. +1 star for the amazing service(my water glass was always full) and the amazing HAPPYHOUR deals– ½ off all«food list» items. this is a STEAL. I’m sure I’m not the only one who thinks food is better when it’s a good deal. At night, it’s really dark inside, almost like a club. You can barely see what you’re eating, but it tastes so damn good. We were seated immediately on a Sunday night around 7pm at the bar. We definitely got lucky though cause others that came after us were waiting for a while. HAPPYHOUR: Sun+Mon all day Tues-Sat 4pm-6:30pm Tues-Thurs 9pm-12am ARUGULASALADWITHFRESHMOZZARELLA was light and fresh. The mozzarella was soft and tasty and the dish had some shaved parm. GRILLEDOCTOPUSSALAD, CITRUSEMULSION is light as well but had chopped grilled octopus which gave it that extra oomph, if you will. The octopus was prepared perfectly on a bed of spring mix with capers. SPICYMEATBALLS were actually spicy. I didn’t think that they would be, but they are. It comes with 2 meatballs, and I would consider it a little spicier than mild spice level. GNOCCHIWITHBLACKTRUFFLECREAM is da bomb. I don’t usually like gnocchi, especially the grainy potato-y consistency. However, these gnocchi’s had a nice smooth texture to them and the sauce is to-die. Very fatty but sooo worth it.

A great spot for an intimate gathering for less than 6 people. This place doesn’t take reservations, so the less people, the better. My bestie and I managed to nab a spot right as we came in at seven on a Wednesday night. Right away we were given focaccia and oil while we perused the menu for drinks. Our server was great. She gave a delicious recommendation for wine and even let me try some before I ordered a full glass. The menu is what really made us decide we would dine here. Plates to share that didn’t break the bank, with good variation of meats, vegies and other choices. We settled on splitting the baked Brocolli and sirloin steak, with plans to order more. We devoured everything and were surprisingly satiated enough to stop there. I would take anyone here. The ambiance is romantic and low lit, the mirrors make it seem spacious and it’s super close to other bars and shopping; making it an ideal spot to stop in for any occassion.

Looks like I’m the last of my friends to finally make it here. Great list of selections for the Happy Hour. Nice layout and the big mirror gives a great illusion of spaciousness. The baked broccoli is not quite blasted broccoli though. Very enthusiastic waitress who was great. The ambience is a bit too noisy though.

Perfect winter HH spot — especially for people who like WINE! I decided to try this spot after hearing all the rave reviews in Unilocal for its HH and it didn’t disappoint. Cheap wine and food– and the food is delicious! We had meatballs, bruschetta, bread and dipping sauce, abs more! All priced around $ 3-$ 7/plate. Bottles of wine are half off or something crazy. It is a little more dimly lit so I can’t see myself wanting to go here much during sunny days but it’s the perfect ambiance for when it’s a little dreary outside in Seattle. It does get pretty busy for HH so if you have a group plan accordingly or get there at a decent time. The staff was so accommodating to us– we have a continuously growing group throughout the course of the evening which they graciously put up with. Well done List!

My wife brought me here because she was convinced this was the best happy hour in Seattle based on numerous reviews she read. We showed up around 5p(HH lasts until 6:30) and were able to be seated without a wait. The inside of the restaurant is surprisingly small and very dark. Tables are small but perfect for 2 people. Intimate atmosphere but a little on the loud side. Service was attentive and personable. During happy hour you can a bottle of a select red/white for $ 15 or a glass for $ 4. We ordered a bottle of red which was a Cab Sav that we both enjoyed. The food menu for HH is a one page menu called«The Food List» and everything on it is half of the listed price during happy hour. Dishes we ordered: Organic Tomato Salad, Gorgonzola cheese, capers($ 9, HH $ 4.50): worst dish we ordered, tomatoes tasted mealy as if they had been chilled, cheese was good but didn’t fit with the dish. would not recommend. Spicy Meatballs($ 10, HH $ 5): one of the two most popular dishes on the menu according to our server and other Unilocalers. Comes with two large meatballs in a red sauce. I was underwhelmed with this dish considering the hype that accompanied it. I think it’s still a must-try but temper expectations. Handmade Gnocchi with Black Truffle Cream($ 15, HH $ 7.50): the consensus top pick from both us and the restaurant. Dish has plenty for two people to share. Sauce is creamy and a lovely truffle taste. We ordered this dish twice actually and it didn’t seem to surprise our server at all Arugula Salad with fresh mozzarella and EVOO dressing($ 10, HH $ 5): my second favorite dish here. Huge salad with lots of fresh mozzarella. Light and the perfect way to kick off HH. Almost ordered twice. Bacon wrapped wild gulf prawns($ 15, HH $ 7.50): 3rd favorite dish here. Prawns came highly recommended by server and did not disappoint. We initially didn’t order this but the table next to us ordered one and we decided we had to try. Overall, we were able to do happy hour with a bottle of wine and multiple entrees for under $ 60. As far as HH deals go, this was great. On the whole, I found dishes tasty but small so I wouldn’t recommend going outside of happy hour.

Great place for Happy Hour! Happy Hour is Tu-Thur 4 – 6:30pm and 9-midnight and Friday and Saturday 4 – 6:30pm. Came here for the first time with my girlfriend. Overall, great ambiance for a date. It’s dark, romantic, with candle light, what could go wrong. Grilled Chilean Sea Bass — this was my ultimate favorite. The fish itself is already naturally buttery and with their seasoning and their beautiful presentation, it was overall delicious. Grilled Octopus Salad — Has a citrus taste to it which I liked, but the octopus itself was overcooked. You could tell because it was extremely hard to chew. Octopus that is perfectly grilled has a sense of chewiness but not to the point where it takes 3 – 5 min to chew each piece. Now that’s overkill. Handmade Gnocchi with black truffle cream — I heard a lot about this from other Unilocal reviews, so I was really excited to try this. However, I was disappointed… These were overcooked too. It’s like they made a huge batch of this to serve for happy hour and then left this on the grill. Gnocchi should still have that texture where its a bit chewy, but these were to the point that they were almost like wads of melted cheese. Very dissatisfying I would have to say… 1 star for a great happy hour menu & selection, 1 star for ambiance, 1 star for the awesome grilled sea bass. And… that’s it.

I’m so happy my boyfriend found List on Unilocal for our date night! It was perfect because it was a Sunday night and they have happy hour all day on Sunday(and Monday as well). All items on the ‘The Food List’ page are half off, bottle of white or red wine is ONLY $ 15, a glass is $ 3.99, and all draft beer is $ 3.50. WHAT A STEAL!!! This is seriously the best happy hour I’ve ever encountered. We started off with a bottle of red wine, a cab sauv. The food came within 5 minutes of ordering, probably because«all food is served ‘as ready’», but I ain’t complaining! Grilled octopus salad, citrus emulsion($ 13/$ 7HH): I loved this dish! I actually didn’t know how I felt about octopus itself prior to ordering, but I read good reviews about this one so I decided to go for it. It was delicious and refreshing! My boyfriend doesn’t care for octopus but he tried a piece and said, «Not bad! Kinda tastes like bbq skewers». Handmade Gnocchi with black truffle cream($ 14/$ 7.50HH): This was what my boyfriend ordered. I had a few pieces and it was indeed truffle-y and creamy. This was what I originally wanted to order but my boyfriend also wanted to get it. He insisted on us both ordering this dish, but I wanted more of a variety. I’m glad I didn’t listen to him, because 2 orders of Gnocchi would’ve been too much! Very enjoyable nonetheless! Sea salt and pepper calamari($ 11/$ 5.50HH): Just your basic calamari. Nothing too special, but a great appetizer to split! Bacon wrapped wild florida prawns($ 14/$ 7.50HH): 4 prawns on a bed of beans and kale salad. The prawns were so good! The rest of the stuff tasted really healthy, which is good since those were pretty much the only greens I got to eat throughout the whole trip. Dessert($ 5): I don’t know what it was called but it had a brownie, strawberries, and hazelnut ice cream. THISWASSOGOOD, melt in your mouth kind of good. Sadly none of my photos will do this place justice because I didn’t have the guts to take pictures with flash in this dim lighted restaurant. I struggled using the candle for lighting, haha! The total came out to be $ 52(pre tip). 4 delicious dishes, 1 bottle of wonderful wine, 1 decadent dessert for that price? You seriously can’t get any better than this. You must put«List» on your list of places to go in Seattle ;) List, why are you not in California? :’(

In my short lifetime my mouth has only remained watering from a single dish through a week on two occasions. One, beef cheek pierogi at Michael Symon’s Lola in Cleveland. Two, a more local attraction, the gnocchi at List! YOUMUSTORDERTHEGNOCCHI. A table at List without ATLEAST one order of gnocchi is like the world without internet. Unfathomable. The Food List is amazing with and without happy hour. Everything is reasonably priced. The meatballs are also delicious, and the Chilean sea bass is of such high quality accompanied wonderful complementary sides for such a good price! They also have great drinks. Very dark and intimate setting. 21+ only. I waited sooooo long to be able to frequent this place when I first found out about it when I moved to Seattle for college. Yes, I definitely frequent this place now. Not often enough though!
