Lottie’s specializes in hand-​crafted cocktails using specialty liquors, fresh ingredients, even going as far as to making their own sweet & sour from scratch and infusing liquors with pepper, cucumber, ginger, lemongrass & more.

Food is lovingly prepared starting with fresh baked breads from the Columbia City Bakery, Meats from Bob’s Meats, and the freshest local ingredients. Our soup selection is made daily from our own recipes never from a can or mix.

Our daily Happy Hour is one the best values as we offer domestic bottles for $ 2.50.

We are best known for having Seattle’s Best Bloody Mary brunch every Saturday, Sunday, & Monday, featuring 6 specialty Bloody Marys & 6 specialty Mimosas.

History

Established in 1998.

Originally built in 1905 Lottie’s is situated in the what was once the lobby of the historic Columbia Hotel at the corner of Rainier & Ferdinand.

Lottie’s was founded as a neighborhood coffee shop in 1998 under the name Lottie Mott’s by the illustrious Kate Gill. After 7 years as a coffee shop it metamorphosed into a bar by night and coffee shop by day.

When Josh & Linda Davis took over in 2005 Lottie’s fully evolved into the lounge we are familiar with today and thus the name Lottie’s Lounge.

In 2010 Beau and Courtney Hebert took the helm with a mission of preserving Lottie’s laid-​back eclectic character while making certain changes and improvements to the bar & restaurant.

Beau comes from a long lineage of food obsessed ancestors. His professional life has been spent serving in every capacity of the bar and restaurant industry. In his spare time Beau plays mandolin & guitar in the notorious local band The Bad Things.

I love Lottie’s! My friends and I often come here on Sunday mornings to catch up. We all love it. I’m always confused as to why Geraldine’s is so crowded and Lottie’s is so empty in the morning! Oh well, my room and food for us :)
I usually order the vegetarian breakfast sandwich with grits (amazing). Last time I ordered the French toast (equally amazing).
Staff is friendly, and food is prompt.

We were at a loss for a decent brunch place one morning, and stumbled upon this place. And we loved it! The food was excellent, I had savory, he had sweet — they were born delicious. I also had the hellfire Bloody Mary — a good Bloody Mary is hard to come by — and it passed with flying colors! Our server was nice, prompt, to the point. I will definitely go back!

My home bar for most of my 6 years in Seattle. It’s still one of the only places I can go and strike up conversation with a random at the bar. Neighborhood vibe has a lot to play in that, but many of the staff there have become close friends over the years, that speaks volumes for the mindset of the guy hiring. Always good music, and never have I experienced a delay in service without at least a smile or nod and eye contact from the server during what is obviously a very busy time. Kudos, Columbia City’s living room.

Came here with a buddy on a late Saturday afternoon.
Food was average, service was below average and they overcharged my credit card. Not sure if it was intentional or not, but it demonstrates either sloppy work and/​or the willingness to mistreat customers.
Not returning to this joint.

My husband and I stopped in on a Friday night and it wasn’t particularly busy. However, our server seemed relatively inattentive (also unfriendly) given the number of guests. The bacon macaroni and cheese was delicious but the roast dip sandwich was, in my opinion, mediocre. Though my husband found it to be tasty. The drinks were fine but nothing too special, we mostly likely won’t be returning.

Underwhelming Sunday brunch experience. I would give 5 stars if based solely on the drinks. We had a mimosa and a bloody mary, both were excellent! That said, the brunch and service were unremarkable. I wish we would have gone there for the drinks and then moved on to somewhere else for food, lesson learned.

Maybe on a better day I’d give a better review, but overall, I wasn’t impressed. 45 minutes to wait for our food, and they were out of brioche, chilaques, and POTATOES! Who runs out of potatoes? I won’t be back.

We were in the Columbia city area for brunch but did not want to wait in line at Geraldine’s so Unilocaled Lottie’s. When we walked in, no one talked to us or greeted us or anything. So we just sat ourselves down. Someone came and took our drink order, then our order. From the point of order to point food arrived was 40 minutes… I was starving. The food was pretty good and since it was made fresh (probably why it took so long), BUT they need to open a window or something! There was no ventilation so I was dying from the smoke and then reeked when we left the place. I had the breakfast sandwich and bacon Mac and cheese. The sandwich was superb with the garlic aioli and the poached egg was perfect. The Mac and cheese has no bacon in it, just on the top so not really bacon Mac and cheese… Overall food was good, service was okay, but could improve on timeliness and open a window. I didn’t wanna walk out of brunch smelling like oil the whole day after.

I came here with a friend for late brunch. Nice chill vibe inside, kinda divey. There was no wait, which I always like, and the waitstaff was friendly and attentive. We both ate biscuits and gravy and I was satisfied! Wish they did poached eggs, though.

It’s a great local place with a rich history. When Columbia City was nothing Lottie’s was here. It started as a coffee shop called Lottie Motts. Then Starbucks moved in. But rather than tuck in their tail and retreat, they adapted, and became the bar/​restaurant that old school Columbia City locals will tell you is the real deal. The beer is local, cocktails are a-​plenty and the food is great. You might lament (like I did at first) that they don’t have ranch to go with their cheesey bread. Fear not: there is enough garlic in their marinara to slap your tastebuds right and never miss ranch again.

OMG, just had a fantastic sweet potato chickpea burger with cucumbers and spicy sauce and tomatoes and this perfect bun! My gf had the turkey bacon herbed chevre. Also, fantastic. Made only that much better by awesome service.

Came here after checking into our airbnb near seward park. Our host recommended it. We grabbed a high top. The table had a bunch of water and stuff but when the waitress came over she wiped it before we even had to ask.
It is definitely more of a bar/​pub atmosphere. Our server was very attentive and the drinks and food were great but don’t expect to have your hand held through the menu. I actually prefer this style of service as when i go out it is usually to spend time with the person I am with not the server. That being said we saw our server about 7 times. She offered another round of drinks before we had to ask and checked on us without really checking on us. I don’t remember her name, but she was blonde and petite.
We had the artichoke dip, some delicious mules (they have the copper mugs :))
We were pretty full by then so we just had some soup and salad and it was yummy

The drinks are amazing! The brunch is not.
We ended up here because Geraldine’s Counter (across the street) had a 90 minute wait. The service was good and fast, the cocktails were amazing and creative, but the brunch was very underwhelming, and just as pricey as some of the brunch places in town that make me drool. I would not go to Lottie’s Lounge again for breakfast dishes.
However the bloody mary and mimosa options — plus all the other house infused, creative cocktails — are really good.

We live in the area and have stopped in a few times for food and beverages, one of which was on Christmas Eve last year.
Favorite sandwich: the Turkey, Bacon, & Herbed Chevre — a winning combination, but I do wish they would use a different bread — it’s super crusty and toasted and usually ends up stabbing me. The french dip is also pretty tasty.
Best thing about this place? Their seasonal cocktails.
A little tip: sit at the bar if you can, the service here is meh otherwise.
