Love Heart Foot Spa

Decided to drop by for a massage and upon entering, it was quite dark inside. A man greeted me and offered to do my massage. Overall, the massage was relieving and helped me to feel relaxed but there is a lot of ambience noise due to conversations by the masseuses. After it was done, they were pretty pushy on a good tip which is the reason for my 3 stars + noise levels.
Might try again later or other spots around the area.

I haven’t been here for awhile, and thought I would drop in since I was in the area. There is nothing to see here folks. Time to move on.

Beware — I have no idea how they get 4 stars! They charge more than the sign, cut short the time, talk on the phone and harass you for more tip!
Here’s our experience:
We went there. Sign said $ 20 1 hr foot massage. I got 50 minutes (less the time the guy spent talking on his cell phone) and my wife only got 40 minutes as her woman was late. Someone even walked in after us and they started on him straight away.
Now we always tip around $ 10 – 15 each for a foot massage. Lets face it, the good ones work hard for their small cut of the massage (usually $ 25/​hr). They deserve it.
This place charged us $ 30 and in their broken English tried to say the sign was wrong. Outright robbery! We ended up paying the $ 60 and when we didn’t tip them on top of the extra $ 10 they demanded — 2 of them followed us out the door and into the parking lot harassing us for more money.
BTW. My wife is Asian so there’s certainly no prejudice here.

The last time I was here it wasn’t a great experience. I asked for just 30 minutes instead of the usual 60 because I wanted to get on the highway before traffic got bad. For some reason it seemed to really bother the masseuse. He gave me a 30 minute massage, but I was charged as if I had a 60 minute massage. While I was disappointed by that I recognize it was their right to charge me for 60 as they don’t technically even offer a 30 minute massage. Other Chinese massage places offer more flexibility where you can pay by the minute.

Saw the reviews and tracked this place down for a part of a date day with my husband. A few things were concerning which made us give this place low score… After all, when your competitive space is Seattle, WA you better bring your A game. First off, we walked into an unmarked «foot massage» place that matched the address and asked the first person we saw if it was the «love heart spa» this person spoke little to no English and just started tapping her feet and pointing to a chair. With multiple attempts from multiple employees we were able to gather that we were in fact at the right place and that we were there to get a full body massage. The massage was so-​so, we’ve both had better and both had worse. But we were very surprised that when paying at the end the young female who spoke little to no English was actually negotiating what we were to pay in tips. After firmly stating that we wanted to give 5 each she only repeated with «10, ok?» After some sighs of frustration we gave in so that we could leave without further irritation. Definitely would not go back due to pushy staff. Felt like for 60 $ each we can find a more functional spa for us.

Saw the reviews and decided why not give it a try, I have got to tell you this place leaves you feeling like heaven. Totally recommend it, I took my 7 year old daughter to have her feet massaged and they were very kind and helpful.

For $ 30/​hr, it’s good. It’s a shame no one speaks English. I could have definitely used another half hour. I’d definitely recommend this place if you’re in pain.

I entered at 5:30 pm in December so it was dark out. The room is dark and I thought the place was closed. As I rounded the corner and saw the chairs I thought, this is weird. Little did I know the darkness was part of the ambiance. This was so relaxing. I was very pleased with the quality of massage. I was buzzed and euphoric afterward, more so than I have been after much more expensive massages. Don’t waste your money or your time by going any where else.

$ 30 for a full body massage with your clothes on. It’s a great deal, but you will be massaged in a room with other people getting massaged as well. The employees speak VERY poor English, so don’t expect to give them extremely detailed or specific instructions. The pressure is very, very deep. Just how I like it. The only downside is how cold the room is. I had to ask for an extra towel and had my coat laying on top of that. After a $ 10 tip, the total damage was only $ 40. Money well spent.

This place is great. I have had tons of «professional massages» in different places in Seattle with all the fancy aromatherapy and fanfare that people want, but this place is hands down one of the best. Perhaps I was lucky, as I just walked in during evening hours, and ended up with «Xiao Chen» who gave me a better massage for 30 dollars than most English speaking people that charge 80 dollars. They turn lights down, and play some quiet Chinese music. No one seems to speak English, but they ask if the pressure is okay. If you want a good deep tissue massage with no frills, no appointment, and you like to support really hard working people, then this is the place for you. I tipped the therapists 10 dollars – this was easily worth 40 dollars. Walked out of there ready to fall asleep and felt really relaxed. I’m sure the massage varies somewhat depending on who you get, but they seem to all give really strong massages – no whimps here!

As you walk in, the place is dark, with an office off the side that shows the bright lights… and then in the back where they get you water for your foot massage…
The place is not decorated at all, very cheesy looking, but the therapists were very nice, and the massages were pretty good…
They didn’t have enough therapists and started calling for help, it was so loud and the talking was loud that upstairs and the room off the foot massage chairs could hear us…
The doors are wide open, almost like they depend on the neon lights across the street to help give some light…

After looking at reviews for a foot massage place I decided to come to Love Heart. You can’t deny that for the price, $ 30 you get a screaming deal. 30 mins on the feet and 30 mins on the rest of the body, clothes on. However, I am still looking for just a foot rub, maybe they do just that, I didn’t ask. The rest of the body part was good, but felt rushed. But I would come back again for sure, just now I know what to expect. The room is dark and quiet. There were 2 other patrons there when I arrived and 1 other person came in while I was there. For 3pm on a Wednesday afternoon I thought that was busy. My masseur was good and the tea she offered afterwards was so yummy. Next time I will ask to see the package so I can get some for home. It’s located in a shopping square so there is parking available.

I came by when we happened to be in the area and I needed a massage really bad. Didn’t get a chance to get one b4 i left my home and during my trip my shoulders got really tight and I had gotten chills and weakness all over my body as i started to come down with a flu/​cold. Finally, on my last day on my trip, i had a migraine from a 3 hour stressful ride from Van-​Seattle with serious stop/​go traffic… by my last day i couldn’t tolerate my body stress anymore and randomly tried to call 2 places with certified massage therapists. when they were unavailable, I just settled for any type of body work! So here i was… for $ 30 an hour i seriously didn’t expect much… they could be inexperienced for all i care… I just needed some relief b4 going back to my regular place at home.
I went in at 1:40pm and there were no customers. A young fellow worked on me. They did the foot soak while massaging, neck/​foot/​leg/​arm massages, which were relaxing but a bit rough at times. Then he worked on my back. It wasn’t as good as my regular masseuse at home, but i was content. I left feeling a bit loosened up.
Being that the massages aren’t in private rooms but rather in the big communal area with 10 chairs (that can collape 180* flat) it can get noisy. the masseuse just yak with each other and they AREN’T quiet. They are so loud they drown out the instrumental music that’s playing softly in the background. After I came in, 6 more customers came in gradually. They must not be used to that many ppl dropping in on a weekday, so they all panicked and start calling their «on call» workers and ask them to come in as they suddenly got a deluge of customers!

Not bad at all! Compared to Imperial Foot Massage, Love Heart Foot Spa offers less intense pressure massage, which I prefer. I like Imperial too, but their pressure massage is too strong for me sometimes.
I came here after reading positive reviews and decided to give it a shot. We walked in with intention of checking out pricing and services, but the lady in there immediately commanded for us to sit down, leaving us no choice to leave. I wasn’t too surprised with the environment, but if you are a first timer and never been to a chinese foot massage before, the whole place/​experience is pretty weird. BUT just remember to breathe and relax, you’ll be fine.
For $ 30, you get a pretty thorough full body and foot massage for about an hour. The level of pressure was just the right amount for me. They played Hawaiian music which I prefer over Chinese classic so that was a plus. I came out feeling totally refreshed and relaxed. At the end, they served a pot of tea.
For how freakin’ cheap it is, and refreshed I felt afterwards, I think its totally worth it! Its day after and my neck and shoulders feel so much better. yusss!!!

I’d never visited a chinese/​asian massage spa before. The basic scenario was that I’d had stressful day and my muscles and neck were stiff and incredibly tense. I’d tortured myself for hours looking at online reviews, and finally decided to take a plunge and head over to Love Heart Foot Spa.
When I arrived, I didn’t notice a name, other than a sign with Foot Massage mentioned and stepped out of the evening gloom into a darker room filled with chairs. There were several other people there that evening, a middle aged man and a couple women with a couple men and women attending them. I was immediately taken to a chair.
The woman who massaged me had limited English capability, and to be sure-​not knowing what to expect-​I was extremely nervous. Compared to traditional Swedish massage techniques, I found the pressure very pleasing at first, but there were definitely moments of sheer excruciating pain. I’d heard a few grunts from others around the room, so apparently so I’d assumed some discomfort was necessary, and not wanting to be a ‘wuss’ I sucked it up and bared through the most of the deep-​tissue work. In retrospect, I should’ve not been a typical non-​communicative Seattleite and simply said that I’d like a little less pressure – I definitely did not enjoy the leg and foot-​work, but afterward, I couldn’t deny that I felt looser and more energized than I had in months.
Ultimately, the end result was that I walked in a bundle of stress and sore muscles and walked out feeling like a loose lump of warm putty. My muscles moved more easily and I was able to head to my rehearsal space and play drums more fluidly with a lighter touch and more dynamism than I had earlier that day. Totally worth it, but not without moments of pain!
2^nd review: 3 stars — This place is hit or miss. It really depends on who you see. I’ve been there maybe 6 times though. It’s worth the price for sure, but some visits are great and others are mediocre. I don’t know anyone’s name and few people speak English well.

Super cheap and great chinese massage. I always take my mother here.

This is atleast the 4^th massage option in the ID. I’ve seen another one on Jackson closer to Bush Hotel and 2 others up Jackson: Imperial and Da Tang (another one is close-​by, but my insider voice does not recommend it).
As the new kid on the block, this place has only been open since March. Due to it’s convenience factor (right off the bus stop near 8^th Ave & Jackson St, next door to KC Kitchen and Green Leaf restaurants), I’ve already been here several times. Count about 5 – 6 feet sessions and 3 – 4 body sessions… oops.
It’s usually 2 ladies working: Coco (limited English) and Ling (very good English); sometimes a man with ZERO english skills comes in the afternoons for help. All 3 provide excellent massage technique and skill. However, in my experience, it’s always helpful to communicate with physical/​hand gestures to get across your message with those of limited to no English. Sometimes it works; sometimes it doesn’t. I’ve learned some helpful ones along the way for communicating strength.
You’re definitely not paying for ambience, folks, I’m telling you that right now. There’s no calm music, [yet?], the stairs seem too tiny for Building Code and the upstairs ceiling height certainly isn’t to Code (yes, my hair touches it ~ 6 feet), the bathroom is dinky, they often chat to eachother/​customers when it’s busy … BUT, you are getting incredible value and quality by friendly and hard-​working people. Please give them a proper tip.
Miscellaneous bits:
–The tea is some sort of acai/​berry/​ginger (?) water mixture; a la dilluted water taste.
–I’m hesitant at challenging Ling to an arm-​wrestling match. «You so strong!» ;)
P. S. A card machine is there. Is it reliable? Bring cash, JIC.

I tried this place after Imperial Foot Massage was too busy. The foot massage combination (30 minutes feet, 30 minutes rest of body — fully clothed) is $ 30, so it’s cheaper than Imperial. The massage is amazing. Since I went here, I’ve given up on Imperial. The massage work here is much better — not as rough and the results are fantastic. My shoulders and neck stay relaxed for days after leaving here.
I haven’t found a better Chinese foot massage place in Seattle.
