Good neighborhood bar, family friendly. Food okay, not great and in fact I don’t bother to eat here anymore, just have a drink or two at happy hour when I don’t want to fight traffic or be in a busy place. Free Wi-fi Easy access, street parking.

Decent food for a pub, service seemed stressed, but can’t blame them for the toddlers running all around a BAR! I tried to enjoy my evening, but had kids running around the dining room and babies crying at the BAR! Family friendly is one thing but a daycare with booze I will pass on. The offerings in Magnolia are pretty limited, but I just scratched another off my list. If they ever decide to make the place a real pub, I may go back. The service and the food a are decent, or even better but the recess in the dining room tonight distracted me from the indigenous experience I’m sure the owners were looking for. This would have been a 4.5, but the kindergarten class earns them a 2, control your dining room.

First. BESTWINGSINSEATTLE. I kid you not. Big, juicy, CRUNCHY wings. And they are doused in sauce, but STILL crunchy. I don’t know how they do it. I highly suggest the Thai Chili or regular Buffalo. Seriously the best wings. Second, the bartenders are great. My boyfriend and I would go to Magnolia for most of the WSU games and they always welcome us and sometimes even save our seats at the bar! At second thought, maybe I shouldn’t give them such a stellar review because I want it to be my little secret. So… no, don’t come here. It’s terrible.

The space is great, the food was terrific, the drinks were really nice and they have a good selection– but the bartender chick was crazy rude and it really turned me off. We arrived with our newborn twins(silent, sleeping, in carrier) at 4pm to a nearly empty pub– and bartender chick exclaims«oh great– people with kids». I couldn’t tell if she was being sarcastic or not. She then proceeds to tell her bartender colleague about how the last table had a $ 30 tab and left zero tip. It was trashy and rude– and we almost left– but decided to stay– because as new parents we aren’t able to get out of the house much. Bartender chick left soon after(end of her shift) — and it became a lot more friendly and less awkward once she was gone. I’m not if I would go back. MVP touts itself as family friendly– but you sure wouldn’t know that based on the bartender chick we experienced on our first(and possibly last) visit.

Lots of good reasons to go here: 1) tons of TVs, so they are able to show multiple sporting events at once. 2) good selection of beers on tap. 3) good for groups. 4) family friendly. 5) I’ve always had great service! I would give a 5 star review for each of the previously listed items, however, as far as food goes… no complaints, its good, not great… thus my 4 star review.

If you like this place you should check out the Lamplighter in Ballard! They have awesome deals every day! Thanks Joel & Co. That’s all I’m going to say. Come see for yourself. Cheers! Ooh and don’t forget to go check out Normandy Alehouse! That’s my next stop!

Fantastic happy hour value. Quality food, prices that are fair and personable great service. Highly recommend Magnolia Village Pub. The quesadillas are bursting with toppings and the chicken strips are just as great as Dairy Queen.

I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food here. I ordered a salad and my dad ordered a bleu cheese burger. Everything was fresh, tasty and prepared with skill, a little overpriced for what it was, but it was solid. My only complaint is that the vibe was just weird there on that particular night. I felt like I had stepped out of Seattle and into Pullman.

We came in about 9:30 pm on a week day for a late night burger. We couldn’t have a burger because they had already turned off their grill for cleaning. They advertise their kitchen is open until 10:00 pm so we were really surprised. So we both ordered fish and chips. This was a pre-made, frozen cod coated with some kind of strange breading that has no resemblance to traditional fish and chips. The cole slaw was an afterthought of cabbage with a little dressing drizzled on top and the fries were cold. I think the whole kitchen was hopeful they could shut down early. On the upside, it’s in our village, the staff is very nice and the selection of beer is good.

I’ve been to MVP quite a few times, and generally, it’s been pretty good. Lately the customer service has been going downward. For instance, I was in recently with the girlfriend and we both ordered the MVP burger. Mine was good, but her’s was dark red on the thicker side of the patty(See Photo). We showed the burger to the waitress, who said«that’s medium» to which we replied, «but it’s red» and even showed her a piece that was cold and looked entirely uncooked(again, see photo). She replied, «they’re all like that.» and walked away. Basically, we stopped eating at this point. Yeah, I supposed I could rant and rave about poor service and the strange experience akin to trying to tell somebody the sky is blue, only to hear them say«no, it’s purple», but that’s the issue. The point is that we were trying to inform them the food we received was undercooked and potentially unsafe. It’s an issue related to the safety of their food and it didn’t even register as one in their mind. Overall, it made me sad because it’s a great place to hang out, but unless something changes, I’m only ordering the beer(from a can).

Love this place! Great beers and great service. The people here are really nice. Their bloody marys are pretty good too, nice and spicy. You have to try their peanut butter and bacon burger with the raspberry jam and siracha! Sounds a bit crazy, but it’s a flavor bomb in your mouth! In a good way of course. Love watching the Seahawks games here, get here early though cause it fills up quickly during game days. They have specials on shots and pitchers during that time. They’ve got specials for taco Tuesdays and other specials/happy hour throughout the week.

Needed a good sports bar in Magnolia and this was an option. They had some good local beers on tap, not the best beer, but it’s Magnolia. They had more televisions than customers. Every kind of sport represented. Had some fine fried pickles, tart and finely breaded. If you’re in Magnolia and are looking for an uncrowded sports bar, then this is your place. Want a good meal? Grab your feedbag and head to the Olive Garden. Bob don’t care.

Been here twice so far… Both times service was great, was here both times on pretty slow nights and staff was friendly and on top of it. I was actually shocked at the ratio of staff to customers both times; at most places I’d expect staff to be sent home on slower nights and have service suffer, was not the case here! Beer selection is decent, though the chalkboard never seems to be fully updated. Got a Manhattan once which was noticeably heavy on the bitters(or something funky) but still drinkable. Food is average. Got burger once which was fine. Second time got fish and chips; fish was really dark(time for an oil change), and coleslaw dressing instantly reminded me of banana laffy taffy. Will return, have a compulsion to try Thai wrap for some reason.

This place is always solid. They have a great selection of rotating beers and an admirable happy hour menu. The service is always reliable and friendly. Their veggie burgers are great, and it is awesome to have a pub to hang out in and be able to have a burger, even if you don’t eat meat. While there isn’t that much other than veggie burgers for the vegetarians, that is to be expected from a pub

Came here for lunch today and it was a lame experience. The food was not good at all and took 40 min to come out. And if you bring me my food after waiting forever, please don’t let it be barely warm. From the fries to the burger to the wings, all seemed to have been sitting forever getting cold. Seems like most of the items come previously frozen as well. The beer was cold and they had a ton of TV’s for football watching, the only reason I gave 2 stars.

Tips: –great beer menu, lots of variety, your regulars and new choices are available –you’re in a pub so get pub food. Blue cheese burger was great but my partner loved the arugula salad with steak… good value for 15 $ –don’t be put off by the casual and cursory service –we hung in there for dessert and got the salted caramel brownie with ice cream. It was more of a cake than brownie, and not a lot of SALT but still good nonetheless … Big enough to share and I’m hoggy with desserts –great post-Discovery Park stop!

This place is a huge pile of cliches. Where to even begin. Is it the paint thinner(or nearest rum equivalent) in the bar well? Tastes like it. Is it the bartender who lets everyone knows that he owns the place by parking his $ 20k worlds fastest factory produced motorcycle(at time of purchase) out front and the custom helmet next to the bar? Yep. I got it. Kind of cool actually. Was it the displeased waitress that provoked a cat-with-ears-back reaction from my beverage companion? I couldn’t decide between her and the couple in the kitchen playing grabass and not putting chicken in my chicken salad or not cooking the fish on the other salad. Weird unnecessary drama aside, I didn’t like my salad much even after the chicken showed up about 20 minutes later. If you come here to eat bad food and watch sports, stick to the burgers and beer as everyone doesn’t care here.

Great place to watch a game, so many TVs. Good food, good drinks, staff has never been anything but nice! Have happy hour, trivia night! They have a small kids menu. Kids are allowed till 10pm,(I think that’s what the sign said). Oh and they will always have a WSU game on.
