We are a service oriented neighborhood hardware store, having been a part of the Maple Leaf community for over 60 years. Our crew offers over 250 years of experience working for Ace.

We carry an impressive selection of tools and services to meet the needs of homeowners, businesses, and small contractors. If we don’t carry something, we can special order many items we may not have in our immediate inventory. We are dedicated to providing both service and selection to everyone who visits our store.

We are proud to be the exclusive North Seattle dealer of Mythic Paint, a zero-​VOC, zero-​toxin, 100% safe, high performance paint.

Our services include key cutting, rope and chain cut by the foot, sharpening, glass cutting, screening repair, window shade cutting, pipe cutting, paint color matching, and a selected inventory of tool rentals.

History

Established in 1943.

We have been a neighborhood hardware store in Maple Leaf for over 60 years. What started as Ziegler’s Hardware became Hall’s, then Stephenson’s and is now Maple Leaf Ace Hardware.

Safeway occupied our building before Hall’s Hardware moved in. In fact, the butcher was located in the fastener area of the store with the red tiles. The store was purchased by the Stephenson’s in 1974. They expanded the building into what it is today.

Mike Kelley and Kathy Stephenson took over the store in January 2005. Later that year they changed the name to Maple Leaf Ace Hardware. The store has continued it’s leadership as the longest-​standing business in the Maple Leaf neighborhood. Kathy and Mike have encouraged taking advantage of participating in a variety of community events.
