Business Owner

Mark Ditzler is a Seattle glass artist who uses «surface design elements» in his work. These may be canes or murrini custom made in his hot shop, or small twists or threads of colored glass from his flame working torch. Screen-​printing, iridizing, gold and silver foils, and dichroic glass are all used for accents. These techniques are carefully fused in the Ditzler Glass Studio to produce glass of heirloom quality.

Ditzler uses a wide range of kiln-​forming techniques to create glass wall panels, sinks, counter tops, and lighting. Working with homeowners, architects and designers, he creates glass commissions for private, corporate and public projects. As a designer and artist, he enjoys the process of taking a client’s idea from concept to timely completion.
