I saw the therapist Greg today for the first time. I have chronic back, hip and neck pain. I left there almost totally painless. He gave me excellent tips on how to stand to alleviate some of the hip pain, and I couldn’t be more pleased. The office was very clean, and Jessica at the front desk was professional and friendly and made me feel very comfortable. She also efficiently helped me purchase a few items I think will be be very helpful to me. I wish I could go back more often, a long drive for me, but worth it and I will definitely be making another appointment soon.

STAY AWAY! Any health benefits from the care you receive will be cancelled out by the hassle of dealing with their management.
While the massage care I received here was generally good, the administrative practices of this office are dubious. I was a passenger in an auto accident (read not at fault), and in spite of my attorney providing written acknowledgement they would be paid from my settlement, they have harassed me for payment for months.

Mayo Therapy offers therapeutic massage for treatment of chronic body issues, assistance of injury recovery, and just relaxation. The focus of the clinic is both medical and non medical. Personally I have experienced several massage therapists, with mixed results.
My interactions with the therapists and experience as a massage recipient of massage at Mayo Therapy had been outstanding. They offer a team of therapists with a wide range of professional education, technique, and style. I have had 3 different therapists at Mayo, all have been excellent. The Clinic is professional, the therapists listen. I highly recommend the Mayo Therapy for outstanding professional work

I had received a $ 300 bill I received from Mayo therapy for «no shows»
Their policy states that you will be billed $ 50 for every «no show» if the appointment is not cancelled for rescheduled within 24 hours.
When I disputed the bill, for «no shows», I acknowledged that I didn’t show for two of the appointments without rescheduling within 24 hours and offered to pay $ 100. After attempting the dispute the bill, the bill suddenly become bigger, $ 526 for more «no shows» they «forgot to charge»
All the «no shows» that Mayo claims I had cancelled or rescheduled long before their 24 hour notice requirement. They are refusing to believe or accept this fact.
There was also an appointment that was late in the evening, that I DID show up for, but after 5pm the front door to the building is locked, requiring you to call the front desk to get buzzed in, when I had attempted to call SEVERAL times over a 20 minute period, I gave up, yet I was still charged for a «no show».

This place is awesome! The facility it self is very clean and you can tell they do a good job on keeping in up. The admin staff at the front desk are always excited to see me and greet me with a smile. All the therapists show a genuine concern for your health and show a great amount of care when conducting treatments. I understand that this clinic has therapists that can perform massages on high-​risk pregnancy patients… way cool!!!

While the massages that I received were ok (not exactly gentle or relaxing, my therapist just dug straight into my tight overwhelmed muscles), their billing practices are sketchy.
I stopped going to Mayo for good reason — I moved across the country! I received emails and voicemails that I didn’t really respond to asking me to try them again, but obviously that wasn’t going to happen. Imagine my surprise when my former insurance starts sending me notices that they have been billed for services rendered AFTER my move date, and that I’m now responsible for the full $ 140/​appt charge. O_​o
I am waiting for a response, hopefully they can clear this up, but beware…

I’ve searched for a long time for a place that provides medically-​focused, deep tissue massage therapy. I almost gave up after dealing with so many of those spa-​type massage joints that focus on relaxation versus real medical recovery.
I gave Mayo Therapy a try and they exceeded all my expectations! This place is the REAL DEAL. I’m used to getting massage from the Chinese places that really get in there and I started to give up on Western massage in being able to provide the same long-​term relief but Mayo Therapy changed my views completely.
For deep tissue massage therapy, I currently see Kevin, Chad, and Jeremiah. All three are great for this type of deep, deep therapy. Oh, and they also take insurance!

I was referred here by my doctor for chronic back pain and have found this to be an amazing office. I’ve mainly gotten massages from Kevin, and he always seems to know just how far to go– never to the point of undue pain, but enough pressure to really feel everything being worked out. I’ve also had a few sessions with Meredith, who was also great. I feel like they both know how to work with specific problems and areas, and know a lot about anatomy. Much different than the kind of massage you might get at the spa. Also, they are both friendly without being overly chatty, which I appreciate. It’s also super helpful that you can book your appointments online– much easier with my schedule– and they have such a wide range of appointment times available. They’ve nearly always been incredibly prompt in starting appointments on time, and I just love LeAnn at the front desk– she’s always so friendly and welcoming and lovely.

i’ve worked w/​rafa mainly, but also w/​jeremiah & kari. over seven appointments together, rafa’s taught me key stretches to incorporate into my workouts, & he’s treated aches successfully.

I’ve been getting massage very frequently to deal with chronic pain, especially thoracic outlet syndrome. I’m a massage therapist myself, so it’s been difficult for me to find the right therapist who will work on me for my issues, and not what the practitioner feels will feel good based on their issues. I’m very thankful I transferred my care to MTA. I’ve been seeing Chad, and I must say that my body hasn’t felt this good in a very long time! He has managed to correctly and intuitively address my somatic complaints with great specificity. I’ve definitely noticed a huge change in the tension in my neck, chest, and shoulders that contribute to my current condition. I honestly wish I had found this place sooner, but at least I know where to turn to for exemplary therapeutic work! Thank you, Chad, for being super awesome!

Mayo Therapy Associates (MTA) is an excellent clinic with a highly-​skilled and professional staff. I have been getting regular massages there for two or three years and have been worked on by almost everyone on the staff, and have never been disappointed. Teri Mayo has a knack for choosing staff who are extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and intuitive. My spouse has been a client for many years, and at first I didn’t see the point of getting regular massages, but I’m glad he finally persuaded me to give them a try! MTA now feels essential to my health and well-​being. One of my earliest sessions was scheduled after I’d been suffering from sciatica for weeks. Meredith spent the whole session doing targeted work on that area, and by the time I left the pain was gone and didn’t flare up again for over a year. When it came back, the first thing I did was to make an appointment, and after one session, I was back to normal again.
Over time, different therapists (Chad, Kevin, Jeremiah, Jason and Travis) have helped to alleviate or eliminate pain in my knees, ankle, back, and shoulder, as well as chronic headaches. They’ve also been great when I don’t have any specific pain but just feel generally knotted up from stress and need a relaxing massage. At this point, I’m happy to see any of the massage therapists that fit my schedule because they’re all great.
My 10-​year-​old has had recurring muscle spasms following a neck injury and they always do a great job of putting her at ease and gently relieving her pain when she has a flare-​up. I particularly recommend Meredith and Jeremiah to any parent whose child could benefit from therapeutic massage.
Besides the great work the staff does, the online scheduling is so easy and convenient, and they do a great job of working with my insurance. I love MTA, and won’t go anywhere else!

In the last 25 years, I have experienced the good, the bad, and the ugly in reference to massage therapy and Teri and her staff always are at the top of my list… I am impressed with their attention to detail, listening to your needs, and working with me to remedy the situation… JOB WELL DONE! I always leave the office feeling great.

I have seen Meredith, Kevin, Chad and Jeremiah. All outstanding therapists! This practice is the best out there in my opinion. I used to frequent Dreamclinic until I found Mayo Therapy Associates, by chance — they accept my insurance. Now, I am never leaving. I enjoy deep tissue massage as always have had tension in my neck and shoulders. I also have a forearm injury that has greatly improved since my visits to MTA. Give them a try, you won’t be disappointed!!!

I am someone who loves deep tissue massages. That being said, I have had the pleasure (and pleasurable pain) of trying out all the massage therapists at Mayo Therapy Associates and have been very happy with every one. I hold tension and stress primarily in my back, shoulders, jaws, and neck. I think Meredith does a wonderful job doing some very detailed work in my jaw and neck area; Jason is great at working on some of my tougher knots in my back (i.e., he is Strong!); Chad has an amazing knack at finding and working out knots that I did not even know were there; and Jeremiah has this unprecedented magical ability to work on me in a deep therapeutic way while relaxing me completely. All the massage therapists have also been very attuned to my desire for a quiet massage and after a couple of introductory questions, have all taken my lead and provided me with the perfect amount of conversation, which is next to none unless needed to provide me a more effective massage. I love that about them.
I also want to give a shout out to their scheduling system because it gives me the freedom to make appointments at times that fit my schedule and to cancel/​reschedule on my own from home at anytime.
I have been to dozens of other massage therapists and many other massage clinics and now I have found my massage home; I am so happy that I have found MTA and will be sticking with them for a very long time. Great service, great massages, great location, great people!

Following a diagnosis of Multiple Sclerosis, walking into the office of Mayo Therapy Associates over four years ago was one of the luckiest days of my life!
Thanks to the expert massage therapy, and in conjunction with their referrals to other caregivers, I now owe my increased wellness and improved quality of life entirely to MTA! I have moved to three different insurance plans over the years and MTA cheerfully and professionally negotiates the mounds of paperwork ~ a huge relief to someone chronically ill.
If you are looking for quality massage from folks dedicated to healing, call them. If there was a rating higher than 5 stars, I would happily give it. MTA is seriously the best massage therapy team in Seattle!

They are fantastic! And my favorite associate, Meredith, is amazing. She can literally see beneath your skin with her fingers. She can feel exactly where she needs to be and knows exactly where to apply the pressure.
This is true therapeutic massage. This is nothing like the fluff of a spa massage. They are focused on what it takes to begin your healing. Well done!
