We are one of the last framers of its kind in the United States, committed to the craft of making unique, beautiful handmade frames using European techniques mastered centuries ago.

Meet the Business Owner

Dee M.

Business Owner

Diane (Dee) McQuesten studied design under Michael Spafford. Post-​graduation, she studied one year at Harvard University’s extension school, then went to Cornish College of the Arts to study Fine Arts. She became an Active Member of Allied Arts, PONCHO and the Seattle Arts Community.

Later, she became a Trustee of Cornish College of the Arts and remained so for ten years, serving in a dozen different capacities including but not limited to: scholarship and operational fundraising, mentoring students, the Finance Committee and serving as chair for Nominations and Special Events. She also has been active in the Seattle Art Museum as a member of SAMS (Seattle Art Museum Supporters) from 1985 until present.

After several decades of hobby framing, she began framing professionally in 1994, when she opened McQuesten Framing and Fine Art Services.
