History
Established in 2006.
Melissa teaches violin, voice*, piano, guitar, and viola lessons to kids, teens, and adults of all skill levels. Students can learn many styles of music, including classical, jazz, rock, folk, pop, Suzuki, songwriting, and improvisation. Melissa has her Master’s degree in music education, a professional teaching certificate, and has been teaching music for over 16 years and performing for over 24 years. In addition to private lessons, Melissa has taught music in elementary, middle, and high schools. Her performance experience includes symphonies, choirs, rock bands, jazz groups, folk bands, improvisation, and Suzuki. *Please note: voice students age 12 and up accepted (all other instruments age 5 and up).

Melissa has been performing both live and in recording studios for the past 24 years. Highlights include: playing violin with the Seattle Philharmonic and Olympia Symphony; recording a jazz-inspired Christmas album; singing with the Seattle Symphony Chorale; and two rock songs featured on Nickelodeon shows (Zoey 101 and iCarly).
