Modo Yoga is a green, clean, hot yoga series that stretches, strengthens and tones the muscles while detoxifying the body and calming the mind. While all classes are rooted in the Modo Yoga series, teachers are encouraged to bring their own unique knowledge and experience every time they enter the room to teach. If you’re interested in how this sweaty community works, check out our 7 Pillars page on our website www.modoyogaseattle.com to get a sense of what we stand for.
We are a group of over 75 independent hot yoga studios across Canada and the US committed to ethical, compassionate and environmentally conscious living, and believe that the benefits of yoga are limitless and accessible to all.
This family has evolved and flourished with the ideas, hard work and support of every Modo Yoga studio owner, Modo Yoga teacher and most importantly through a community of devoted students working on bettering the world on a subtle level — one sweaty yoga class at a time!
History
Established in 2004.
Modo Yoga is more than a series of postures.
It began with the vision of two individuals and has since grown into a worldwide community with classes and studios around the globe.
We are a group of independent hot yoga studios committed to ethical, compassionate and environmentally conscious living, and believe that the benefits of yoga are limitless and accessible to all.
Meet the Business Owner
Kylie and Brandon S.
Business Owner
Kylie and Brandon Sutton both grew up playing sports in Canada, and they both turned to yoga to combat all the strain that sports placed on their bodies. They soon discovered heated Modo yoga, a Hatha yoga practice that has been embraced around the world for its therapeutic benefits, laid-back attitude, and commitment to environmentally conscious living.
In 2013, the duo moved to Seattle and decided to open up their own Modo Yoga studio. The Suttons and their fellow instructors – many of whom are fellow former athletes – now teach students Modo’s series of 40 postures and breathing exercises.
