My Family Doctor

They’re actually my favorite medical professionals I think I’ve ever come across. Always friendly and definitely work to build relationships with their patients. Every time I come I don’t feel rushed and Dr. Herrington takes his time to listen to my symptoms.

I am so happy to have stumbled upon this doctor’s office! I have been looking for a family doctor for a while now and I only ended up here because I wanted a second opinion about a diagnosis from The Urgent Care down the road.
The gal in the front was very friendly and warm. The office has a great, old style charm, but looks fresh and well done. I appreciated being given a cloth gown to wear instead of paper. In fact, the cloth was super nice and soft. A small perk, but I liked it!
The most important thing, of course… the doctor. Dr. Harrington was warm, knowledgeable, and made me feel totally comfortable. I ended up telling him about my urgent care experience and he called the pharmacy to make sure they had put me on the correct meds. I really felt like he cared! I will not hesitate to go back to him. I finally found a great GP!

Dr. Harrington is smart, patient, and personable. I appreciate his expertise! His receptionist is friendly and gracious. I waited only about 10 minutes for an «urgent care» (injured toe) visit. He also appreciates that not all of us have great insurance options!

I saw Dr. Terrill yesterday for cellulitis in my foot. What can I say, this man is a gem. I was scared and in significant pain and he totally reassured me. He prescribed some aggressive treatment and I expect a quick and complete recovery.
I saw him last year to remove a sebaceous cyst on my back (I wrote a review about him then, but now I can’t find it on here). I am uninsured and he gave me a bunch of antibiotics to take beforehand which saved me a ton of money, then he gave me a discount on the procedure itself. Super cool.
If you live in West Seattle you should seriously consider seeing Dr. Terrill. Especially if you’re uninsured. It’s only $ 99 for a visit, and he will actually diagnose and treat you, not string you along with endless tests and BS like those self-​absorbed demi-​gods up on Pill HIll. No choirs of angels sing when he enters a room, and genuflection is not necessary — he is a REAL DOCTOR. There aren’t very many private practice general practioners around, so he is not bound by the dictates of some mega insurance conglomerate. He’s a «free-​range» doc.
What are you waiting for? Make an appointment already! You know you need to see a doctor about that… thing.

My husband and I see Dr T and love him. We are expecting our first child and look forward to having Dr T work with him/​her as well. Dr T is patient and truly listens to what you have to say. Never dismissing you or assuming he knows what you are going to ask. He graciously answers questions calming and informatively. Never making you feel like your question was silly or to trivial.

my experience here was horrible, from the front office staff to having Porter as a physician. He was very polite and nice, but did the bare minimum of his duties to care for someone. The billing situation was horrible as well, and it was all through insurance. They could not get it right and just kept sending me the bill, even after i spoke with insurance and Family Doctors billing department. They would simply send me the bill for ease rather then looking into the situation. Not impressed by either the care or the way they conduct business.

During the past two years, I’ve needed to see Dr Harrington twice. He was thorough, professional and took his time to make sure he and I were on the same page. Fortunately, I don’t need a doctor often, but when I do I’m glad Dr Harrington is nearby.

Dr. Harrington is the first doctor I have considered «my» doctor since I was a kid. I’ve been going to him for about two years now and feel lucky to have found him.
He knows his stuff, is personable, explains things in plain english, and has compassion.

Dr. Harrington and staff are great. I had just split my noggin open playing raquetball and they were able to take me in without delay. Far from a cold experience of medical austerity, the staff and Dr. Harrington are personable, intelligent, and made me feel at home. Dr. Harrington’s actual work sewing up my head was well done. The stitiches were done so well you can hardly detect the scar. I highly reccommend them. –Dave

Dr. Harrington has even been open during the recent winter storm! Most of the other doctors in the neighborhood haven’t been able to get in to their clinics, so Dr. Harrington has been seeing their patients as well. He works harder than I could expect, even of a hard-​working doctor. Neither rain, nor sleet, etc.
