Myint Erane MD

I’m in my sixties and have a lot of inflammation in my body. Occasionally, when I’m stressed out, a muscle will go into spasm with pain like a hot poker stirring the muscle.
I went to Erane Myint in February, 2014. She cleaned my ears as part of what I thought was a preventative exam and then charged me $ 131 without informing me of that. She also called the visit an office visit instead of preventative and I was charged over $ 300 total because my insurance only pays in full for preventative care.
I told her at the February visit that I was looking for a doctor who would prescribe OTHER THAN NARCOTIC drugs for pain & inflammation. I’m aware the DEA is on the hunt for doctors who over-​prescribe narcotics or do so on the phone when it’s required in person.
However, what I needed over the last four days was a simple muscle relaxer and Dr. Myint insisted I come in to get the prescription even though it would be days later.
Therefore, I had to go through days of muscle spasm before she would see me and she couldn’t diagnose a muscle spasm that wasn’t happening at that moment, but gave me the muscle relaxers anyway. The only difference was my days of pain waiting to see her.
I believe Dr. Myint to be greedy and not compassionate. She will force you to come in for anything (instead of allowing a phone consultation) and then code the visit to make herself more money.
