If you are a new homebuyer, you have to work with Nancy. She guided my wife and I through our first home purchase and she was an absolute blast to work with. She was patient, thorough, kind, diligent and hilarious.
We were referred to Nancy by our lending agent and after a great meeting to set expectations and go through the process, Nancy met with us on a Saturday to find our dream home. She took us to a few locations, helping us envision what we could do (and couldn’t do) with what the houses had to offer.
Now, to tell you how stellar of a person Nancy is… we decided that we wanted to see a house outside of our initial budget. Instead of jumping at the idea of more commission, Nancy was extremely reluctant to even look at a place that was outside of our set budget, which spoke volumes to her character and her dedication to making sure she keeps her clients within their comfort zone.
We fell in love with one of the houses we saw on that Saturday and decided to put in an offer. Nancy helped us work up an extremely attractive offer based on her expert knowledge and past experience. She also included a video for the sellers to make our offer as personable as possible. Ultimately, our offer was accepted.
Throughout this whole process and into the closing procedures, Nancy spent hours with us on the phone, making sure our questions were answered and easing our fears of «worst-​case scenarios» we were sure would wreck the whole thing.
Nancy, along with our lending agent, worked hard to close the house extremely fast and also worked wonders to get us in a few days earlier than planned.
Overall, we can’t recommend Nancy enough. The whole process was honestly like working with a really good friend – comfortable, fun and enjoyable. We have already referred friends and family to Nancy and will continue to do so. She’s honestly the best.

Besides the fact that Nancy found me a house in my price range during a time of limited availability, we had a good time doing it. We laughed a lot as we drove around to look at options. I remember one statement that summed up that she put in more work than I saw: «We’re going to see 6 houses today, and there are 6 more that we are NOT going to see!», meaning that they were problematic dwellings that she had quickly screened out.

Working with Nancy made our home buying experience incredibly straightforward and dare I say enjoyable. As a first-​time home buyer, I was unclear where to begin. What I loved most about Nancy (beyond her stellar friendly attitude and awesome responsiveness) was the clarity in her process. She provided us with step-​wise direction and guidance to the tactical parts of the process as well as recommendations around the softer side of home buying (e.g. how to rank your wants and needs with a boyfriend who has different wants and needs). As my job requires me travel out of state for work every week, the other part I appreciated about Nancy was how much was accomplished over the phone, via text and through Accusign.
As a LGBT family, we especially appreciated working with someone who was awesome about pronouns and connecting us to related services that were LGBT-​supportive.

Nancy made buying our first home a breeze. She is brilliant and insightful and I would recommend her a billion times over! She was fantastic at helping us to decide what we were looking for, then helping us find just that. She was super responsive (I kind of wonder when she sleeps…) and supportive throughout. She helped guide us into making decisions on our offer that ultimately got us our house for a great price even in such a highly competitive market. Seriously– I cannot say enough about how wonderful she is!

Our relationship with Nancy started long distance. We were returning to the Seattle area after a year in the Midwest and needed an agent who could be our eyes and ears. When we found a home we liked, Nancy took and sent detailed videos, met inspectors and in general acted on our behalf. We did not end up buying that home and it took a year for us to finally be able to buy. All the while, Nancy kept in touch, answered questions and even advised us about selling our home in the Midwest. She gets to know buyers before showing houses and is genuinely more interested in finding the right fit than simply selling a house. Nancy has been my Realtor through the purchase of two homes and the sale of one.
Nancy has three strengths:
* Focus on what the client is looking for in a home — key factors including avoiding the stress of buying more house than you can afford, and not settling for a lesser house or location than what you’ve identified as your minimum requirements
* Network of trustworthy, reliable, and responsive professionals — You need a mortgage? a painter? a new furnace? a second opinion? Nancy has a rolodex full of professionals she has vetted who answer when they see her name on caller ID
* Knowledge and planning — Nancy knows the market and the real estate process. She knows her strengths and where she needs to call on her network to make sure her clients get the best results. She knows all of the deadlines and the order in which things need to be done. I know that if I am up front with Nancy about what I can and cannot do, she will plan out the full process of selling and buying with her, her network, and me doing all of our parts for as seamless a process as possible
I learned about Nancy’s first strength the day I met her. She was meeting potential renters for a relative’s duplex. She focused on what I was looking for in a place to live. She listened and asked great questions. The result was that I did not rent that duplex, but I started recommending her as a Realtor from then on.
A couple years later, I learned about Nancy’s second and third strengths. I was dissatisfied with my rental once again and did not like how much I would need to spend on rent to live in a place I would like. Wondering if I could possibly qualify to be a homeowner, I contacted Nancy. She got me in touch with a mortgage lender who educated me about the terminology and the process and focused on identifying what I could really afford. Nancy showed me houses and condos in my price range, advising me all along the way that I probably would not be able to find something I could afford that met all of my criteria. She kept me grounded so I did not settle and so I did not seek a house I would struggle to afford. When The House came on the market, and lowered its asking price to my price range, Nancy masterfully orchestrated the process of inspections, negotiations, and closing that got me a house with a new roof for less than the asking price. She even handled my second thoughts and cold feet with skill and grace – showing me a couple more condos and letting me know up to what point I could still back out.
A couple years later, my housing needs changed. Having exhausted all thoughts of remodeling, I contacted Nancy about the feasibility of selling The House and buying a more suitable home. This was pretty early to expect to make a profit on a house, but the market in my neighborhood was changing drastically. She thought it might be possible. She called on her trusted network for second and third opinions. We met with a lender. We sketched out a plan with how long I could afford to wait for the house to sell, what work could be done before I moved and what needed to happen quickly after I moved. People were painting, replacing appliances, and doing everything that was needed to get the best possible sale price. We ended up with offers at and above the list price, selling for much more than I had bought the house for just a couple years before. We sold on time and were ready to find the next home.
Amazingly, in a market where bidding wars sold homes up to $ 100k above list, we bought a well-​constructed home twice the size of the house I sold, with the Walkscore and proximity to work that I wanted, for less than the asking price.
There’s a lot of luck involved in my experiences. But it takes the skill of a great Realtor to make sure things are as good as they seem and act quickly enough to capitalize on them. Nancy has repeatedly proven to be that Realtor.

Nancy sold a home for me in 2010 during the down turn on the market. She brought in 3 offers in 3 days and sold the home for $ 10,000 over the asking price. She did an excellent job marketing the property and handling the transaction. She is honest, a good listener and sensitive to her clients. In 2011 she helped me purchase a home. It was difficult for appraisers to assess the value of the property because there are very few comparable properties. Nancy’s negotiation skills with the seller, assured me I was getting a fair value. She was very patient with the process. I highly recommend Nancy.

I worked with Nancy when I was looking to buy a condo in North Seattle as a first time home buyer. I came in with a very tight budget and pretty high expectations for how far that would get me, knowing that I would likely have to wait awhile to find what I was looking for. She helped me understand the current market and what I could hope to find in that range. Within a few weeks, we had found a place that I LOVED that had all of my «musts» and more than a few of my «wants.» With some luck, though, and some pretty amazing positioning on Nancy’s part in terms of structuring our offer and strategizing, we put our best offer forward. The offer was accepted and beat out 3 other offers, including one that was stronger financially than mine was. I have to believe that Nancy did an excellent job selling me and the vision of me as a single female first time home buyer to the seller and that’s what clinched the deal.
I would also say for folks who may be young and/​or first time home buyers that Nancy is a natural educator and is a great resource for learning about the real estate market and the process of buying a home. I found her to be incredibly respectful of my thoughts, feelings, and intelligence in spite of the fact that I was a very young home buyer. I always felt well informed and supported at each step during the process.
I’ve been in my place happily for the past 6 months and I am very grateful to Nancy! I will absolutely work with her again if/​when I sell this place and look to upgrade.

Nancy was great to work with; she did an excellent job of interviewing us to ensure that what she was showing us was what we wanted. At a certain point it was difficult to decide because two of the places were strong contenders. When there was a problem (isn’t there always something that goes wrong when you buy a home?), Nancy was fantastic and her value shown through. Bank was a little tight on what they would loan us and we were at risk of it falling through. Nancy worked with the agent of the seller and within 4 hours of getting the bad news, she came back that the sellers agreed to reduce the price and still kept the other incentives in place for us. It was a relief and we have been happily in our home!
