Neighbors Relocation Services

I’ve had the pleasure of using Neighbors Relocation Services twice now. The first move was seamless. The second time we moved from Seattle to our new home. We definitely had a lot more to move this time but again, it was extremely easy, and there was little I had to do which was very helpful since we have a two year old. We were appointed a moving coordinator who came to our home to access our needs and manage the move for us. On the day of our move, the moving crew was super friendly, packed all of our items quickly and allowed me to focus on the excitement of moving vs. all the logistics. We’ll definitely use Neighbors again!

We have used these movers multiple times and they always do an amazing job. I’m amazed at how hard they work and how easy they make the process for our family! It’s difficult to find someone you can trust someone with your personal belongs, and I’m happy I have found a business that can do that for us. We will be using them in the future.

Neighbors moved both my business and my home over the past five years. The movers were conscientious, friendly, and very hard-​working. The price we were quoted was the price we paid. I’ll never forget: when they moved us into our new home, there was a huge armoire that needed to go upstairs. Our home is old like most Seattle homes, and it appeared that this armoire would never make it up the narrow staircase with its tight turns. But, amazingly, Neighbors’ movers after a few attempts managed to deliver it into our bedroom! This was even after I told them to not worry about it! I have recommend Neighbors Relocation Services to my friends, and I’ll continue to do so!

Two men arrived on time in the soaking rain, with dripping shoes and stood on our expensive carpets. When asked to remove the wet, dripping shoes, the men balked, said they don’t work that way, and if we didn’t like it, we should pack our house ourselves. We asked if they could wear booties on their shoes, and they said «no.» Then they walked out. We were left in the lurch days before a very large move. This is the most unprofessional company I’ve ever encountered. Please look around at other companies with very high (5-​star) ratings. This is a living nightmare.

Great job from start to finish. I had to adjust my move date less than a week before the move happened and Neighbors was able to accomodate that much to my relief. The movers arrived on time and were very efficient and careful with my stuff. I was moving to a 3^rd floor two bedroom apartment unit with narrow stairs so needless to say, it was a physical move. And to make it worse, it started raining cats and dogs as soon as we pulled up. But the two movers didn’t bat an eye, never remotely complained and stuck to business even though they were clearly getting gassed from the 3 flights up. Nothing was broken, everything handled carefully and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Would recommend Neighbors to anyone moving.

I get upset even thinking about writing all the things wrong with this move.
It started out ok, as the sales guy (Dave) was prompt and detailed. As soon as we went under contract, I was contacted by a «quality» communications person. I was encouraged as she seemed to know what was going on.
Two days before our packing was supposed to happen, a dispatch agent asked if they could push back our packing a day and pack/​move us on the same day. I asked if that could all be accomplished by 3 and he said «no problem».
When the movers showed up (late), I could tell they were overworked and tired. They were shocked when I told them we had to be out by that night since the new owners take possession the next day. It appears dispatch has no idea what packers and movers actually do. I even wen to pick up another packer that was called in on his day off. The team that did the work at my house was amazing. They took care to pack and label everything. I hope they can find better jobs somewhere else. It took them until 3AM to finish loading the truck!
We had arranged for Neighbors to store our items as we didn’t have a new house in Chicago yet. Once I arrived in IL, I received an email with a drivers name and a move in date. I didn’t even have a place to live yet! Wasn’t a big deal, just a sign of sloppiness.
I finally had a house and arranged a move in date. They confirmed. Another coordinator from the midwest got involved. I got a call from a driver saying he was ready to deliver my stuff on a Wednesday, the day before my closing. I told the two coordinators multiple times the date of my closing but they aren’t very good at sharing information in this company. The driver needed to empty his truck for another pickup so they had to dance around to find a solution. Fortunately, they found another company to pick up my stuff.
The day of my move in went surprisingly well. They were on time and completed the move efficiently.
When I got my final bill/​invoice, it was incorrect. I had to go through all of the quotes and charges to show them why they overcharged me $ 300. They did make it right, but it was another sign of sloppiness.
The last unfortunate thing I have to deal with is a lost box. We’ll see how the claims process goes.
I will reiterate that the moving staff was fantastic. It is all of the «office» people (coordinators, dispatch, and sales) that are very disorganized.

I would recommend this company to any one. They were right on time, careful with the furniture no damage and polite.

Great experience. On time (even early) and lots of communication to keep me posted on the move details. I recommend and have already referred friends. Nice team that helped me the day of the move too.
