Business Owner

John is founder and Chief Executive Officer of Northwest Patient Resource Center. He has been working on cannabis law reform for more than 20 years and has worked on many initiatives since 1993 including I-​692 (Washington Medical Marijuana) and I-​75 (Seattle lowest police priority). He is a founding member of the Coalition for Cannabis Standards and Ethics (CCSE) and served as the first Chairman of the Board when the CCSE was formed and created the first draft of the CCSE’s bylaws.

First timer and I was impressed enough to write my first review. Nice clean atmosphere when you walk in and it made me feel comfortable enough to ask a lot of questions. Knowledgeable staff took the time to explain everything to someone who is brand new to medical marijuana. Overall great experience and good prices.

Not long ago I would have given five stars. However, lately they have had very slim inventory. They’re out of a lot of their regular favorites, some of the edibles, etc. I was stunned today at how little there was to choose from. Very disappointed and will probably go to a little place closer to home as it’s no longer worth making the trek to come here.

NPRC has been fantastic. As a novice of using cannabis as a pain treatment for my back, they have been incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. I feel completely safe when I enter the dispensary and they make me feel completely at ease. Every time I visit I know I am entering a legit business where the proprietors generally want to help you. NPRC should serve as a role model for medical marijuana dispensaries everywhere.

I must have gone on a bad day. For starters all they had of the strain of medicine I wanted was 1 gram bags. That is not cool! Second, without sounding dramatic I believe I literally wasted $ 77 on seven grams of the driest, over cured meds I have seen in years. I am in my mid-​forties and this is not my first go around. I was my first go around to this place. I can say it will be my last.

I came in to get a little more medicine and had a great experience.
The staff are helpful, knowledgeable, kind & friendly. They had so many quality flowers, edibles, salves and oils it was hard to choose! Eventually, I purchased a gram of the Grape God (beautiful, crystally, perfectly cured bud) and highly enjoyed it’s mellowing indica vibe.
It was my first stop into this dispensary and it certainly wont be the last.

As a registered patient of dispensaries in the triple digits, to service my patients. I can safely say, NWPRC is one of the models that should be adopted by all dispensaries. The «Come One, Come All», design of the interior is designed to allow anyone to enter a business and feel welcomed. The added safety and Literal transparency, turns what once was a «back alley» deal, into just picking up some things at the shop.
Jake and his staff are some of the most knowledgeable and friendly folks you could meet and NO, I’m not one of them. I’ve been a customer for some time now and have gladly given and taken from the «Compassion Jar», as need has arisen. Jake himself on more than one occasion has pulled money out of his own pocket and paid for my medicine. These are not your average budtenders, these are caregivers.
The selection of Medibles as well as the Canna Butter for creating your own dishes is worth the trip alone to West Seattle! (hint, hint, Tom Douglas). The selection of flower tops is always plentiful as well as fresh! If you want to see what’s really out there, NWPRC is one of the rare few places that afford you this type of experience!

I have been here a few times. The product is high quality, the place is discreet, the staff is professional and extremely knowledgeable. It is clean and safe. I wouldn’t go anywhere else, honestly. Everyone is friendly. It even has beautiful art on the walls. Rather than a hole in the wall pot dealer like some of the smaller dispensaries are, this is a professional, medical facility. The selection of edibles is amazing as well.

This is the cleanest, safest, friendliest dispensary around. And now they have two locations! The organization and employees are nothing but professional, helpful and knowledgeable. The atmosphere is like Nordstroms. Classy, well-​lit, and there is even original local artwork at both locations.
There is a compassion jar for those who do not have enough, and a wide range of products to fit every medical need. They have raised money for paralyzed veterans with raffles, and supported many other medical causes.
The medicine is also available in a wide range of prices, that can fit anyone’s budget. The medicine is pre-​packaged so you don’t have to spend an inordinate amount of time inside, it’s fast and accurate.
I highly reccomend both locations as safe and friendly access points.
Jake is a popular and knowledgeable professional who is caring and consults with clients who may be new to this type of medicine or need specific relief. I highly suggest you talk with him if you want to speak to someone who genuinely cares, and has an excellent grasp of the chemistry behind this medicine.

I’ve been a customer since day 1. This was a very good dispensary at first. I spent thousands of dollars here. My health has been deteriorating and I cannot work as much as expected any more. My own financial problems coupled with their rising prices made it so I am not a regular customer. I do stop in a couple times a month when I’m unable to afford my medication from my regular supplier. However, ever since I haven’t been able to spend a large amount of money here, I’ve been treated like crap.
I’ve always put into the compassion fund when I could afford to, but lately I’ve needed help. Today they outright refused to help me with my purchase (about $ 4) even though the jar was nearly full. Jake would not even tell me himself that they could not help me, he just threw a fit at the girl working upfront and stomped away. Real classy.
Since I have hereditary angioedema (yes, life threatening) and not terminal cancer (the only thing Jake feels worthy of treating), I’m treated like trash. Do not contribute to the compassion fund unless you want it lining their pockets at the end of the day.
High prices, ample judgment about your medical condition and a shit attitude from Jake equal an uppity store I will never step foot into again.

Easy to find. Free parking in their lot. Staff was very helpful. Selection was out of this world as far as topical and edibles. I loved that they had different «brands» to choose from and not just 1 or 2 lotions or snacks. Lots of strain specific pre-​rolls and lots of strains of dry meds too. I loved that they had monitors that would show the patients a macro magnified view of the medicine so you could really see the trichomes.
The only thing I didn’t care for was the layout … It’s all done with staff and med behind a glass area and patient standing on other side right in the lobby area. I don’t know it felt kind of impersonal or maybe I’ve just become accustomed to the way that other dispensaries are set up where you sign in and then enter a bud room. On the other hand I guess this set up does speed up the process of getting your meds and getting out in a timely manner.
