This clinic was developed in order to professionally evaluate patient’s medical records and educate them on the everchanging laws concerning medical marijuana. I wanted to offer my patients a safe, confidential, and responsive environment to learn the true medical benefits and options concerning marijuana. At least once a year a patient can come in for a frank and honest discussion with a sympathetic doctor who will listen and offer solutions to most medical issues.

Dr. Michael Stern graduated from medical school in 1973 and since 1983 has been a board-​certified urologist and urologic surgeon.

Dr. Stern was diagnosed with primary progressive multiple sclerosis in 1995. Due to its progression he chose to discontinue surgery and standard urologic practice.

Dr. Stern served as an adjunct clinical faculty member at Bastyr University School of Naturopathic Medicine for 11 years (1995 — 2006).

Helping others has provided Dr. Stern with meaning in his life and so he continues advising patients on lifestyle issues and alternative healthy treatments for a wide variety of diseases.

Dr. Stern currently is the Director of Northwest Healthy Options which predominantly reviews medical records, confirms diagnoses, and authorizes patients in the legal use of medicinal marijuana.

Dr. Stern currently receives $ 1 a year in monetary compensation for his work at Northwest Healthy Options.
