i wish i could give zero stars. the worst eyebrow wax i have ever had in my entire life to the degree that it completely ruined my event. also the laziest, sloppiest manicure. will never go back. still fuming. also, salon appeared dirty.

Of all the things I thought I would miss leaving San Francisco, never did I imagine that top among them would be my nail salon. Who knew I wouldn’t be able to find one on every corner in Seattle. Evidently people in the PNW only get nails done in the summer? Ah well… I tried a few (truly horrid) places in the Seattle metro area. While on a trip to downtown Seattle I happened past Ocean Nail’s. They weren’t busy, the place looked nice, I had a bit of time, and so I gave them a try. So glad I did! I was the only customer, which aligns with the comment on PNW and summer nails only (really ladies… cute toes are good year round!)…and it might explain the great service… but regardless, it was a pleasure. They were friendly, thorough, and did a nice job. I will definitely be back!

I get my acrylic nails done here — and it took me 3 different salons before I discovered Ocean. This salon is efficient, the women do a great job, and I leave with a beautiful manicure each time. The pedicure is great, too.

Great pedicure. Staff was very friendly and welcoming. Weekend afternoons are less busy than the morning– no need for an appointment.

Walked in on a monday evening while I was in town on business. Very friendly, good work. I’ll be back when in town again.

Painted my nails the wrong color shellac and then argued with me and said it looks different on than on the samples. Wtf?
Fuck this place. I’m never going back.

Stopped by here on my way home from work to treat myself to an manicure. I decided to get acrylics. I would highly recommend making an appointment– they do accept walk ins but they kind of shove you to the side in the midst of doing your nails to take care of other customers.
That being said the lady who did my nails did a good job doing what I asked for, the shape and color were fantastic. She was even kind enough to offer me to pay ahead so I didn’t have to dig through my purse with my wet nails. However I felt like she rushed the service which was apparent about a week later; the top parts of each nail started to dislodge from my nail making it extremely uncomfortable to do anything, so I ended up taking them off at 2 weeks– they should’ve been able to last with a fill for 4 weeks.
I would go back to try out shellac or a pedicure– with a reservation.

I walked in about 6p for a Shellac manicure and was overly pleased with my results. Wish I had taken a photo in the end but was in such a rush to get to dinner It slipped my mind. The pain was so nicely executed around my nails, none on my cuticles. It was merely perfect, no bubbles, no flaws, what so ever. She was meticulous about attention to detail. I am now heading in for my 3^rd time. Highly recommended.

I arrived at Ocean’s Nails today, tempted by being off my feet after a long day at work and the «Walk-​Ins Welcome!» text on the door. I stated that I was hoping to get a standard medi-​pedi, and then asked if I had an appointment. When I said no, a woman who was getting a pedicure tutted and said to her nail stylist «well isn’t it annoying?» — to which I almost just left in response. I was beckoned in to pick a color, though, and decided to give the store a chance.
Partway through my pedicure, a woman walked in who turned out to be late for an appointment — which I guess the nail salon had slotted me into instead. She was pretty upset about being told that she would have to wait about half an hour before getting her pedicure because she was late, and as a result the rest of my pedicure was very rushed. Then I had to wait for the woman who was late to her appointment to get a pedicure before getting my manicure — and was consequently sitting around just writing this review for about an hour. When I realized that they were also going to do her manicure before mine as well, I made a judgment call to just pay for my pedicure and leave.
I can see that the women who work here are very pleasant and try hard to make sure that everything runs smoothly, so I am loathe to leave a bad review but my experience was far from pleasant. If you come here, I would strongly suggest making an appointment first, and not being a minute late for it. If you come through as a walk-​in, be prepared for your services to take a while.

Second time coming here and I recommend Ocean highly Though it is not my usual salon. I generally go to a place on the East side near my house, but sometimes, nail emergencies happen. Ocean is convenient to Pioneer Square and the Pike Place and Financial districts, and I have always had good luck popping in on my lunch. Both times I have walked in straight away and got a fill with a glitter ombré and they have turned out beautifully. Everyone here is friendly and do excellent work. It costs a little more than my usual place, but for a spa downtown I can walk into without an appointment and get beautiful work done I am more than happy to pay the difference (which isn’t much anyway, I might add). Definitely worth a visit!

My daughter and I stopped in for a mani/​pedi. They were fast and very friendly. They even have seats for little ones. Which was a plus for my daughter.

I just got my first shellac mani here and am quite impressed. It is clean and very well decorated in there. I was so pleasantly surprised by how quick they were, granted it was a Monday morning, but they got me in right away and then I was in and out of there in 35 minutes. I have never had anyone go over my nails so well AFTER the manicure to make sure they all looked great. I would not recommend going here if you want a wonderfully relaxing manicure but I liked he quick efficiency.

I have been to this place now at least 15 times and it’s always been a great experience. The staff is really friendly and do their best to make me comfortable, and they are funny too! The quality of my manis and pedis is exactly what I expect for the price, and I think the prices are great.
I’ve mostly gone on weekends and never have an appointment, and I’ve never had an issue getting in right away (longest I’ve waited is like 10 minutes).

Worst mani of my life. Owner told the woman doing my mani to hurry to take another guest. I left with horrible nails.

When I moved downtown last summer I was in search of a new nail salon that provided quality services without being over priced. Ocean Nails always has a spot for me (I usually call at least 30 minutes prior), is very friendly and courteous, and always follows through with excellent manis, pedis, brow waxing etc! I love coming here!

Took some clients here and they seemed to have had a nice polish job. I was disappointed overall. There were two women who were faster and more competent when it came to polishing. My lady unfortunately had zero skills. For a $ 60 mani pedi I expect a lot. Really bad polish job. She put it on too thick and made a mess of my toes with red polish. I was also supposed to get a full 15 min massage for hands and another for feet. It was more like 10 on the feet and 8 on the hands. Felt like I was ripped off big time. Downtown Seattle is in dire need of better places!
Also, these women didn’t wash their hands in between clients. I won’t be going back here. I would rather pay the same amount at Nordstrom’s spa or a better and more sanitary place.

I’ve been here a few times as I live downtown and it’s an easy walk.
It’s acceptable service unless they get walk ins… They rush you through. Didn’t even leave me under the gel lights the entire time, yep, polish chipped in 3 days.
Think I will find a place that respects my time and hard earned money.

Several months ago I stopped by for a quick $ 12 eyebrow wax. It wasn’t a very memorable experience, but I remember thinking it was a pretty good visit… and I was thankful they were able to get me in right away (with no appointment).
I will probably visit them again if I happen to be in the area when I have some free time and need my eyebrows fixed (again).

Pretty standard spot for a pedicure, but they really seemed to rush through it and not spend nearly enough time on each step. Points for the massage chair as well as the ability to just walk in, but if you plan ahead there are better options in belltown or Denny triangle (away from the hotel areas)…

I came here on a coworker’s recommendation and I left feeling completely underwhelmed. Annoyed even. I’m a man so I didn’t want any polish or anything fancy. Simply I wanted to be presentable. But the whole time I was there it felt like I was being rushed through, as though she didn’t want me there. Of course I can only speak to how it made me feel, not my manicurist’s intentions.
When she was about to work on my cuticles, she grabbed her utensil and upon inspecting it, proceeded to wipe something off on the towel and then continue.
Now I am a licenced cosmetologist in the state of Washington and that means that, while I mainly focus on hair, I know all the laws and procedures required of nail salons and that made me seriously question how they sanitize and disinfect their implements. That aside, she didn’t even do a great job at cleaning up my cuticles. Bits were hanging, not clipped off. Some dont look like they even get worked on.
There are unattractive scrapes on my nails (besides those from the buffer). My hand massage quick and dull like she was on autopilot. Much like the rest of the service.
Overall I feel jyped and have no compelling urge to return.
