I’d been having some eye strain and headache issues lately, so I figured it was time to find an eye doc… given I hadn’t had an eye appointment since 2001…
First I was greeted by a lovely red-​haired (and super fashionable) young gentleman who took care of my preliminary checks before I saw the doctor. He was courteous and kind, and explained everything as it was happening. Then I saw Doctor Noriko Ho, who was a total sweetheart, and really took great care of me (especially after I told her how long it had been since my eyes had been checked)! She diagnosed me with astigmatism and farsightedness, and got me a prescription for glasses, then took me back out to speak with the younger gentleman about frames.
Things I loved about Oculus:
— Zero pressure to buy extra «addons» (though they are offered on the pricing sheet)
— Zero attempts to upsell me more expensive frames
— Honest opinions and feedback on how frames looked
— Super fast appointment
— Professional staff
— Far less stuffy and stressful than other doctors offices
— Detailed explanations on what was being done at all times
— Doctor had a cool sense of personal style and manner that made me super relaxed
— Easy to find location/​parking
So glad I came to Oculus. Such lovely people and stress-​free experience.

Love this place! I stopped by in search of the perfect frame for my wedding and found multiple options worth considering. The staff is extremely accommodating, friendly, and provided honest feedback. I can’t remember the last time I received such incredible customer service and am looking forward to returning the next time I am shopping for frames.

I have an old eye injury that sometimes likes to remind me that it’s there. Nothing serious, just some incredible pain and inability to function like normal. After a few years it decided to say hello on a recent Saturday afternoon. While calling around town I was losing hope that anyone could see me on short notice. Dr. Ho at Oculus to the rescue! She stayed a little late to help me out and when I explained the issue she instantly knew what to do. She was super nice, taking the time to make sure that I not only had what I needed but that I was comfortable and confident with it. Was back to normal in a day. Will be going here for all the routine stuff from now on.

Dr. Woerner is great. Personable, smart, focused and thoughtful about your vision. Staff is also focused in helping you find frames, and are very familiar with the stock and give good suggestions in finding frames. The reality is that it’s really expensive, perhaps exclusively so. An exam with new (fancy French) frames and lenses came out to over $ 600. My insurance (Regence preferred) covered most of it, and I ended up paying approximately $ 150.00 out of pocket. I ordered a pair of their ‘cheap’ (around $ 100 for plastic frames) sunglasses with prescription lenses, and the bill for one-​side tinted, non-​polarized lenses is coming out to approximately $ 250+.

I’ve had nothing but positive experiences with Oculus, and they have a cool name. They shipped contacts to me in California when my stupid state wouldn’t take my out-​of-​state eye prescription. amazing.

Everyone that works at Oculus Eyecare is incredibly nice and helpful. Setting up an appointment was easy, and they responded very quickly via email with any questions I had. I loved that I could fill out my paperwork online ahead of my appointment. Dr. Woerner was extremely professional and thorough and I really appreciated that I didn’t feel like I was being rushed through the appointment or out of the office. He really took his time to make sure I had all my questions or concerns answered. I would highly recommend this place.

This optometry office was ok. Very much geared toward the yuppie 20-​something set in SLU. I like how you can schedule appointments AND fill out new patient paperwork online. The optometrist was friendly and pleasant, although perhaps not the most professional, both in manner and appearance. She did, however, outline my options and had approximate prices memorized, which I appreciated. Most of the time doctors have no idea or interest in how much procedures, medications, equipment, etc. cost the patient.
They said they would contact me after a week to finalize my Rx, but never did. I was not impressed. I called to ask to have the Rx sent to me and they did so in a timely manner. However, I can’t give a business 5 stars when they don’t do something they say they’re going to do. I would recommend this office, but it’s not exceptional.

Highly recommended! Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Dr. Woerner explained everything very clearly and helped me pick a prescription that both improved my distance vision but will keep any eye strain I might have close up to a minimum. Jessica did a great job recommending some new frames for me and even ordered some that they didn’t currently have in stock for me to come back and try.

Great experience as always. Very friendly and professional staff. Dr. Woerner is so efficient but also takes time to make conversation and ask about life and answer any questions. The office itself is very nice and they offer free parking, which is a HUGE help when navigating South Lake Union these days. I was trying on glasses and really appreciated the honest and expert opinion provided by the staff member who I really wish I could remember her name! This is my 3^rd year as a patient and I will continue to make the trip every year even though I have since moved out of SLU.

The staff here were very helpful and friendly as was the doctor. I really appreciated that Dr. Woerner took the time to make sure I was getting the clearest prescription that I could get both for my glasses and contacts.

These people are great. I have been here twice with two years in-​between. I was helped by different people and both times have been good experiences. I could not ask for more. My go-​to place for my eye exams and glasses.

I visited Oculus with my friend for her eye appointment. While she was in her appointment, i had the chance to chat with the friendly front-​desk person. The place is very modern, which i loved. I also loved their glasses selection. The employees helped me look at some frames and they gave great advice on which frames fit my face the best! They also were great at answering questions regarding my insurance policy. That day, i made an appointment for myself!

Everyone at this location is super helpful not to mention welcoming-​they give you their honest opinion and I can appreciate that they also have a nice selection of brands

I hunted around for a long time to find a good eye doctor and am very happy with my decision to go to Oculus. It was one of the less expensive places I found and everyone there have been great. Dr. Woerner is very nice and the exams are quick and get the job done. The staff is also really friendly and helpful. Both times I’ve gone I needed my glasses adjusted and they were able to fix them for me. All around good experiences! Highly recommended!

Had a great new patient experience here! Promptly greeted and appointment began. I decided to go with new glasses this year instead of buying more contacts. The office staff was helpful and gave plenty of feedback as to which frames looked good on me. Looking forward to coming back for an exam or anything else I need related to the health of my eyes.

Store attitude and retail is top notch. Their big smiles customer service is undefeated on Denny, I’m sure. Doc is great, quality product, hassle free returns, and the CS keeps me lured in ever time. Not familiar with contacts process of order to mail, but getting lenses and frames boxed up here was a cinch!
Living in Phinney ditch and working biz district, this location is actually really convenient mid commute. Recommend!

I went in for my annual exam last year and to get a contact lens prescription. This place is great! Good location (right on Denny near Amazon campus), the office is really nice, and the people are extremely friendly and informative. My exam went great. The doctor (I can’t recall her name) was extremely knowledgeable and was easy to talk to while getting my exam done. Even though my eyesight went down a bit, it wasn’t that noticeable for me. They weren’t pushy about it all. They gave me my prescription, sample contacts and I was on my way. A few weeks later, I came back in and purchased the contacts there. They were reasonably priced and quick.
I just got an email from them reminding me to get another exam, so I’ll definitely be heading back.

The facility of this place is pretty clean and organized. They have plenty of outdoor parking.
When I was running late, I called them in a panic letting them know that I was stuck in traffic. The receptionist didn’t give me a hard time at all and was really understanding. After I arrived at Oculus, they immediately took me in to get my eyes checked. I didn’t have to wait in the lobby for a long time. The optometrist who did my eye exam was fast and efficient.
After I got my prescription, the front desk people asked me what style of glasses I wanted and looked around the store to find a style that matched my preference. I’ve never encountered such a proactive staff before at an optometrist office. Usually, they just leave you alone while you search through a ton of glasses to find the right one. They offered to take my photo so I could see how I looked in the glasses. Amazing customer service!
