What a great tasting Happy Hour! Prices are reasonable with size of food you get. Outside of Happy Hour the regular food is tasty as well but more pricey. Why this place isn’t busier, especially at happy hour, is beyond me. I came here on a friend’s recommendation and I will be going back. The Carmen Pizza was recommended to me and I am telling everyone to try it. Other items are good but start with the Carmen. The staff are good at making you feel comfortable. Have a fun night and works great as a date night location.

My wife and I have been to Orfeo 4 – 5 times since they opened and each time had been Great. The energy, service, and food have been spot on. I highly recommend the muscles, plump, very tasty and a great smokey flavor from their Spanish oven. All the other dishes made us feel very happy and appreciative to have this wonderful place. When you go, try the muscles, oysters and their pizza is also very tasty. The chef, staff and vibe make you feel like you just had a fantastic time. I will go back with friends as often as possible.

This place was pretty good. We ordered a pasta that had squid ink. The noodles were actually black. Sounded and looked a bit weird but we loved it. We also ordered a pizza and it was the perfect size. The BF and I spilt the pasta and pizza. Service was great and the prices were reasonable. The menu changes daily but were told that the squid ink pasta is very popular. If it’s available try it out!

Review is for happy hour only. This restaurant is in a somewhat seedy area of Belltown — I’m not sure how I’ve never hung out around here before, but I got off the bus and was like, yikes. I jogged over to Orfeo, and was greeted by a HUGE space. Whoa, where did this all come from? I mean, I wasn’t living in Seattle for a couple years but I thought I had my grounds covered, for sure. Anyway, happy hour was great — especially the oysters. We kept em coming and coming! Big and fresh, and by the end the three of us didn’t want to eat oysters again for. probably another few days. Service was friendly and prompt as well. What I think I missed out on was the pizza. Will try that next time. This will be my go to happy hour spot for sure for a while. Check it out!

Great food, Good Waitstaff, Poor Décor We started with the dozen oysters which were sublime. The octopus salad was one of the best I have had. The beet salad worked a nice blend of sweet and tart with grapefruit wedges. The décor reminded me of a cross between a Marriott and a casino. The backlit Italian frescos were particularly distracting. I can appreciate 101.5 and Justin Bieber just as much as the next person, just not my choice for dinner music.

This is a great neighbourhood restaurant. The establishment is really nice inside. The food was really good. We had the mussels for an appetiser, fish and chips and steak for the entrees. The fish was ok but a little too soft to the point, the breading came off and the fish was falling apart. But overall tasty. The mussels were good with the garlic flavor and my guy said his steak was enjoyable as well. We’ll come again, being that it’s very close to home and we’d like to see it survive in the area.

Came here on new years eve for dinner with friends, and wasn’t particularly«wowwed» for a couple of reasons. First, I was disappointed with the lack of knowledge our waitress had about the menu. We asked about about a couple different wines that would pair well with the black cod. Sadly, we ended up with decent wine and tasty cod, however the two were not paired well together whatsoever. Second, my boyfriend has a couple of food allergies, and when we ordered the cannoli for dessert, our waitress did not indicate all of its ingredients. This was also not indicated on the dessert menu either. We would not have ordered this, had we known there was cherry in it. Third, the way they handled the bill was odd. They«were unable to» split the bill, but we could just«tell her» what we wanted on each card. Hmmmm… seems a little ass-backwards, if you’re able to run several cards for the tab, but can’t divide it up? Overall, the food wasn’t terrible. Maybe it would be better for a date night, rather than for a large group. Can’t say I’m dying to come back, but I might be willing to give it another shot in the future.

You HAVE to try the mussels! They are plump and savory, cooked on a big-ass charcoal grill. And thank you, chef for the 4 generous pieces of bread as they were used to soak up the hearty broth. Dang. Next time, I just may order that for myself and not share. For an entrée, I had the hot salmon ravioli which has a rich tomato/caper sauce. It had that smoky flavor too which I love. The mix between the smoky salmon ravioli and the savory-tang of the tomato sauce is perfect. My partner had the funghi pizza, cooked in their wood-burning pizza oven. The dough was delicious, chewy, crunchy edges with plenty of mushrooms atop with a hint of sour dough. This place has FIRE, baby! Will be back VERY soon.

This place is owned by the same group as blue acre. I have to say, I like this place a lot more than blueacre! They have a great selection and fun events, like a twilight zone meal event. I went with some friends during dine in seattle, so it was three courses for $ 30. To my surprise, the portions were size able, unlike other places I’ve been to. The food was all delicious! The salmon and steak were my favorite. Moist and not too rich or salty. The service was also very good!

So restaurant week came around and I decided to pick this restaurant since it was fairly new! Off their restaurant week menu, we tried their mussels, pork chop, salmon, chocolate budino, and pumpkin cheesecake. The mussels were really tasty! It was a big portion for an appetizer and the mussels tasted pretty fresh. My friend and I were pretty full after finishing all the mussels! Unfortunately, the entrees that followed up after the delicious mussels were not as good. My pork chop was a little over cooked and was hard to chew through. Plus, I didn’t think it was that flavorful as I’ve definitely had better pork chops. I also tried some of my friend’s salmon and it was okay. It wasn’t super flavorful and it could have been cooked better. Lastly came the dessert which was the budino and the cheesecake. I’ve had a Budino before and the Budino at Orfeo definitely didn’t taste nearly as good. The budino here was more of a brownie than that creamy, pudding texture. so I was pretty disappointed. The cherry sauce around it was good though. My pumpkin tiramisu tasted very homemade and I could taste the ladyfingers soaked in rum, as it was very spongy. Overall, I really wanted to like this place because it’s new and the reviews seemed great! However, I thought that the food could’ve been better. The atmosphere of the restaurant was nice, as it kind of reminded me of an «El Gaucho» kind of ambiance, which would be great for a date. Our server was also amazing, but 2⁄3 courses on the restaurant week menu were misses.

Hey you! Yeah you sipping on that PBR. You think you’re so cool drinking that beer don’t you? I am solidly convinced that only reason people drink Pabst Blue Ribbon is to look cool. But in reality it doesn’t. It’s just shitty beer from the Midwest. But everyone wants to at least appear somewhat cool right? That’s why I asked a local«cool» Seattle bartender for his opinion on new and cool restaurant in the neighborhood. He recommended Orfeo. Orfeo certainly fit the bill, and the cool factor is on high. The dark dining room with attractive waitstaff floating around the room immediately was a 10 on a cool scale. But you don’t care about cool, how’s the food and service? I can tell you Orfeo hit the mark on both with flying colors. The attentive service with waitstaff that were eager to share their accurate opinions on both the drink/wine list and dining menu was outstanding. By the way, the wine here is very reasonably priced, many of the selections were marked up just barely over retail. Orfeo bills it’s itself as an Italian restaurant. But for those of you who want a good fashioned American burger(though the French make the best burgers), you can get one right here. The menu has plenty of non Italian options which makes Orfeo a solid choice for those not in the Italian mood. I however, went for the gnocchi with cranberry beans and it did not disappoint. I loved Orfeo and left here with a very memorable experience.

I pass this place often and always told myself I wanted to try it out. Luckily for me, one Friday night my boyfriend planned a dinner date for us here. I was so thrilled! The interior is beautiful. Low lighting, balcony seating and cozy booths. It looked and felt very high end. The staff was wonderful as well. Our waitress was super helpful and attentive and the owner/head chef even made his way around to talk with the tables — so thoughtful! Now, the food… I really wanted to absolutely love the food but I just didn’t. The starter bread that the server insisted we try was so overly salty that I maybe had 2 bites before I couldn’t handle it any longer. The entrees were good, nothing amazing. We ordered the pork chop and sausage. The pork chop had so much sauce on it, it was literally swimming in it and we had to shake off each piece of meat before eating it. Don’t get me wrong, the flavor of both dishes were good just not excellent which I was expecting. The tiramisu however was delicious and probably the best part of the meal!

For the price, I wouldn’t recommend this place but the food was good. The service left a little to be desired but I understand they are a new restaurant so they are working out the logistics. What I found most excellent was their dessert and the salmon we had but I wasn’t impressed with the pork lion which was not fully cooked so I sent it back. We received a friendly greeting when we arrived but our server seemed overburdened with our large party and the other staff bringing our food kept getting the orders mixed up from the the salads, to the entrees, to the dessert and finally to the check which took a ridiculous amount of time to get. The manager had to get involved to get it all straightened out but he made it right by the end of the night. I may go back in a year or so but for now, I’ll stick to the Steelhead Diner which is their sister restaurant and always excellent.

New take on an old favorite spot! I used to love this spot when it was Brasa! Glad they turned this into something beautiful. It’s still dark, red and deep rich atmosphere. It’s still inviting! Came here for restaurant week with friends last night. There were ten of us. The staff was quite wonderful in accommodating our several requests and substitutions. When there’s so many girls, there’s bound to be some changes :) We took our time from sipping, tasting and savoring to closing the place down! Food Oven roasted mussels ~ this was kind of amazing! Huge portions of mussels in tasty broth, left me full! Burrata ~ refreshing with pears, grapes and so on. Tagliatelle ~ wasn’t crazy about the sauce but love the pasta! King salmon on a bed of potatoes~ meh! I had this with shisito peppers instead. Pan crusted halibut ~ definitely better than the salmon! And again, huge portion! Margherita pizza: this was not on SRW but this is delicious!!! So much food, I had to take my food to go. Wine list is a ok with red, white and Rose per glass, half bottles and bottles. Sadly, they were out of some half bottles we wanted. Our waitress was friendly, efficient, attentive and fast! She definitely made our dinner great! Wish the food was just as great. But I guess they do have glitches. Wine helps too obviously! Generous portions + good wine+ warm atmosphere + girlfriends! Fun night!

I am so glad I came here during restaurant week. Great service, great ambience, and amazing food. This place is great for either a private dinner for two or a large group. I order off the restaurant week menu and got the house made mozzarella & stracchino burrata — which was amazing light and yummy starter. I loved the vinaigrette they used. But my friend at the table order the mussels off the restaurant week menu, and they are amazing, huge portion with bread and the mussels are roasted so well! East to split with the table. My other friend ordered the roasted polenta off the normal menu which was great the mushrooms are amazing on top. For the main course I had the roasted pumpkin & chanterelle mushroom tagliatelle off of restaurant week, I was so happy with my choice and I think it was the tables favorite. A great portion and such great noodles. At the table we also had the coho salmon from resturant week, which was really good and off the normal menu the potato gnocci which was great too. So how we were able to puch through the food coma for the dessert, and I am so glad we did. The olive oil cake from the resturant week, awas amazing one of the better dester I have had! so light and leomnyy, I want to go back just for this cake. There was also rhe chocolate budino from the resturant week menu, which was chocolate heaven. Overall, I am so happy we picked Orfeo. I can’t wait to go back!

Seattle Restaurant Week(SRW), and Date Night for me; and it seems that this restaurant is perfect for both accounts. Tasty meal, solid flavors, and it’s on the edge of Belltown, so parking isn’t that bad either. Hello Orfeo to the Seattle scene. It’s at the old Brasa location on 3rd, which is a pretty large, yet intimate location. Dark interiors, with warm inlays set this place apart, to be perfect for a large party, or a night out for two. This happened to be our datenight spot for the night, and SRW. Let’s get this out there; the food was tasty(which I’ll talk about later), but it’s worth mentioning that it’s not going to be a fast dinner. I suppose it’s not as slow as the other reviewers, but you will want to take your time, or you might be left with an empty table between courses. Okay, to the food. The girl and I had opposing plates, for a little sampling, SRW style. Opening Course: Roasted Mussels(me), and Mozzarella & Stracchino Burrata(hers). My plate of food was served on a cast iron platter, it the mussels were plump, moist and delicious. They tasted fresh and with clean flavor. Included was a roasted lemon, and some bread. It was a complete package, I didn’t need the lemon, but the bread was required, to soak up the shellfish liquor. Her’s was what appeared to be a salad, but from the small bite of hers, it was seasoned well, and tasty. Main Course: Wild Coho Salmon(hers), and Bone-in Pork Roast(me). Here was a generous amount of meat on the place, and it was cooked just about perfectly. No discoloration in the center, and bone in is the best(in my book) to have cuts like this. The polenta was a little on the solid side, but still a good dish nevertheless. Her’s was salmon, and it was crusty and flaky in the middle. The flavor was developed, and served on top of a smashed potato. the portion was nice, and filling to be sure. So much so, I ended up taking some of it, because it was just a little bit too much for her. The finale, dessert: Spiced Pumpkin Tiramisu(me), and Chocolate Budino(hers). Okay, seriously, mine was a pumpkin pie flavored Tiramisu, tasty to be sure, especially for the autumn season. but hers was all sorts of delicious. A Budino, is a little pastry, a cross between a brownie and a lava cake… so it’s soft, mushy, rich, decedent and served hot, with gelato on top… dripping over the sides as it melts. The dark cherries on the side, complement the dish so well, I love the sweet and tart… all at the same time, chocolate was the balance. So for Seattle Restaurant Week, it was a great location, perfect for a date, or a small group… we were at the bar side, because the main eating area was booked. The food was good, solid flavors, and I would like to come back and try again. If the goal was to gather people to try their cooking styles, then they accomplished that. I’ll make sure to make it an evening, since food doesn’t come out as quickly as we may have expected it, but it could be also the SRW menu.

«Classy» and«polished» were the words that came to mind when my friend and I visited Orfeo for dinner. This restaurant is perfect for an intimate outing, with low lighting, dark furniture and an extensive wine list. At 5PM, the place was still fairly empty and the host seated us quickly. I noticed that Orfeo has a happy hour menu online, but we weren’t offered one in the dining area — I’m wondering if it’s only at the bar? My friend and I ended up sharing the following: –Totten Inlet Manila Clam Pasta — The clams were great, but we thought the pasta was just so-so. Maybe it’s because we got it with the pizza and the taste was almost TOO light for us? –Carmen Brick Oven Pizza — YUM. Something about this pizza definitely stood out! The peppers and chile added a nice zing to the pizza, and it was very rich and flavorful. While on the pricier side($ 18 for about six slices), I think their pizzas are definitely worth trying. :) What a classy addition to Belltown! Not your atypical post-work haunt, I see myself coming to Orfeo more for special occasions. :) Service was great as well — props to the gentleman who waited patiently as we tried to decide what to order and solved our wobbly table problem. You saved our evening(and glasses of wine!) ;)

Great new place on 3rd Ave! Stopped in during happy hour for a couple drinks and appetisers. Decent selection on the happy hour menu; some items, though, are not a discounted price from the regular dinner menu. We munched on smoked halibut dip and fried eggplant with grain mustard sauce. The halibut dip was a bit too smoky for my tastes and the thin toasted bread cracked every time I tried top a slice. The fried eggplant sticks were fried perfectly, not too greasy, and the grain mustard paired well and had a little zing! Patrons near us had ordered pizza and polenta, both looked quite tasty and I’d love to return and try them out.

I’ve been seeing some people post about this new place in downtown/Belltown area and was finally able to check it out last weekend. We made reservations for Friday night and when we walked in, the place was packed and pretty loud and lively. We were greeted and seated shortly in their upstairs area. I’m glad we were seated upstairs because it was a little quieter and not as rowdy as their main downstairs dining area. We noticed upstairs had a private dining area that you could probably reserve and looked like a nice space but limited seating to probably a smaller party of 10 – 12 guests. Our server came right away to introduce himself and talk about the menu and take our drink orders. We asked for a few minutes to decide but ended up waiting a much longer time for him to come back to take our order. They seemed a little understaffed with it being a Friday night and not enough people to go around. We ordered two appetizers, the tuna crude and the deep fried eggplant. Both were very good but had to wait a while for the food to come out. For the entrees, I originally wanted to try their gnocchi but they ran out so our server recommended the tortellini instead, so we went with that and the halibut. Again, our entrees took a while to come out and I was glad we decided to order two appetizers to try or else I would have gotten even more«hangry». The halibut was very delicious and moist. The tortellini on the other hand came out extremely salty. It might have just been the broth that was super salty but it was hard to tell since the tortellini was placed sitting in the broth and it was so salty that I had to take them out to put on a different plate so that it would not continue to sit in the salty broth. When our server came back to check on our food, I mentioned the salty broth and he seemed apologetic but didn’t seem too hasty to try to fix the problem. He just asked if it was still okay for me to eat but since we waited so long for our food I didn’t want to wait even longer so I said it was fine and I’ll just eat around the broth. Later he came back to tell us that they have gotten several other complaints about the salty broth.(Why would he recommend that dish to us then?!) And he said he will provide this feedback to the kitchen. After we finished eating, I was waiting for some kind of compensation for the overly salty dish(dessert on the house or something) especially since they’re a new restaurant, but there was nothing. Again, we had to wait a while for them to come back so we could ask for our check. Overall, the service was way too slow while waiting for each thing(waiting to order, waiting for our food, waiting to ask for the check) and I’m disappointed they would recommended a dish that had several complaints already and not do anything to comp for the dissatisfied dish. I wish I could give them a 2.5 star review instead.

Everything from the bar to the restaurant is amazing at Orfeo! We came only because we had a bachelor party planned to start here for dinner. Yet, we were really surprised we have never heard of, or had been here in the past. We sat at the bar which is curved so it made everyone feel included in the conversations. The drinks were strong at the bartender friendly but more importantly quick. After the bar, we got our table which was also curved with the same feeling. We ordered family style for the 5 of us. Had 3 rounds drinks, 5 appetizers, 3 more drinks, and finally almost everything on the menu; and then 3 more rounds of drinks because they were that good! The steak was very good and easily shareable. The pizzas were amazing! Instead of having the mussels we asked them to make it with clams, which they quickly said no problem which you don’t always get in a restaurant. They were soooo good, we told them to make it an option on the menu, we shall see! I think this would be a great 1st date restaurant as well as really good for large groups. Can’t wait to go back and bring our friends
