Oscar Paws provides in-​home pet visits for dogs, cats, rabbits, small cage pets, chickens, some other birds, and fish to customers in the West Seattle area neighborhoods. We provide daily services for dogs — walking, potty breaks, puppy care, and off leash adventures at the local dog park for a small pack of 2 – 4 dogs. We also give extra gentle care for senior dogs. Our services for cats and other pets mentioned above are provided as needed when their people travel. We are never in a hurry for any of the pets in our care, always giving them as much time as they need. We specialize in enjoying their company. We are not able to provide boarding or housesitting services.

History

Established in 2010.

Oscar Paws Pet Sitters is the outcome of a lifelong love of animals and living with companion pets of one variety or another since I was a child. Oscar Paws was launched as a sole proprietor small business with only a few customers, and today has approximately 35 pet owners as loyal customers. Most new customers come to us via referrals, word of mouth, networking at the local dog park, or from reviews posted on Yelp.

After many years of volunteering at local animal shelters walking dogs, tending to sick kitties, and becoming a cat foster parent, the idea of starting my own business was born. It was important to me to distinguish Oscar Paws as a professional pet sitting business versus a ‘hobbyist’ providing pet care services, Being licensed in the State of Washington, insured and bonded for the protection of the pets in my care and their owners are the features that make this distinction. My business is a member of Pet Sitters International Association (PSI), and I have earned certification from PSI as a professional pet sitter.
