Amazing deep dish pizza!!! I was so impressed with this place! My friend got the meatballs and burrata bruschetta and the sauce and focaccia that came with it was so good! Great red blend wine too!

Hungry diners beware-it is a LONG wait to get your deep dish pizza. Understandably, this pie takes a long time to cook. With that said, get some apps first! The artichoke dip with the crostini was very yummy. For main entrée, 3 guys and I shared a deep dish half/half of Classic Meat and the Pesto with chicken added. I tried another friend’s chicken alfredo pie and that was very delicious as well! Very different from the average red sauce kind of pizza. All pies were very delicious and filling. The cheese was perfectly melted and oozey. However, I would have expected the pizza to be extra hot, but it came out to be lukewarm. The best part was the crust with honey.oh.em.gee. I asked at least 3 other people in my group if they are going to finish their crush. SOGOOD The restaurant was very accommodating for our group of 15. Our waitress was fun and friendly. Will go back if I crave deep dish pizza!

ok, i have to say it — this was the worst restaurant experience i have had in seattle in years. we walked in around 6pm on a sunday night, and the restaurant was pretty empty, so it’s not like there were a ton of customers keeping the staff busy. nobody was at the host station when we walked in, but the hostess appeared quickly. she didn’t greet us verbally, and acted like we were bothering her by coming in to eat. she rather unceremoniously grabbed menus and started walking towards the seating area, so we followed her to our table. we had time to check out the menus and use the restroom(no hand soap in the ladies’ room, btw) and decide what we wanted to order before our server even showed up to take a drink order. we ordered two sodas and a beer — pretty simple — but she brought out one soda and the beer, and when we asked about the third drink she brought out a random club soda — not what we ordered. salad course was good. drink refills were few and far between, as were check ins from our server. meanwhile, we watched the servers and bartender chatting and eating and drinking behind the bar while the music skipped repeatedly for around 30 minutes. we watched the table behind us get their entrée before their appetizer. they didn’t seem so stoked. our pizza finally arrived — it’s deep dish, so we had totally reasonable expectations about how long it would take, even though the server didn’t mention any extended timeline. however, the pizza was lukewarm when it arrived, which means it sat in the kitchen while our server did… whatever. for a $ 30 pizza, i’d expect it to be fresh and hot when it hits my table. we didn’t see our server again until we were well into the pizza, so even if we’d wanted to address the lukewarm temperature, we didn’t have an opportunity. we didn’t tip — there was no actual service provided by our waitress. instead we left a note that this was an awful experience we were totally shocked by, which leads us to the next major point. i sent my family ahead and stayed behind to talk to the manager, who was very helpful and apologetic. meanwhile, THEWAITRESSCHASEDMYFAMILYOUTSIDEWITHTHECHECK. like, down the street outside. she must’ve decided that knocking on the car window to yell? argue? with my family inside the car wasn’t a great idea, so while i was talking to the manager, waitress came and got in my face and claimed she had been«personable» and that she gave us «great service». UHNO. also, really? do you argue with a customer that’s obviously already had an awful experience in front of the manager who’s trying to smooth over the situation? full disclosure, the manager refunded our entire order and gave us a $ 30 gift certificate — we still won’t be back. this place is shenanigans.

I really want to like this place, but the simple fact is that it’s too expensive for what you get(in the end it’s just pizza), and there’s other good pizza in the neighborhood(albeit not Chicago style) at both Palermo and Ballard Pizza Company. If you were to go here hungry, don’t expect to leave without paying $ 30-$ 35 bucks for a pizza(probably factor in some leftovers, though). Add drinks and you maybe could have ordered sushi across the street for a similar price. The reason I’m torn is that the pizza here is excellent and so is the service. All of the food here is made with good quality ingredients. It’s really about that price tag on the whole experience, and for me that makes this place just«ok.» To illustrate, this pizza costs $ 26(tax included). It’s clearly not a full 14″ pizza(there’s a lot of pizza missing!) and definitely heavy on crust and light on toppings.

I have to start with the fact that I gave two stars is that my first two visits to Patxi’s were great. Their food is a bit overpriced but I recommended them to a lot of people because the food was solid and service provided on those first two visits was outstanding. Queue the third visit. Were it not for the first two visits, they would be getting the lowest star rating possible. I would give a minus five stars for this one if I could. I’m actually going to post an update on Facebook to let everyone I have recommended this place to know that I can no longer stand by my recommendation. We walked into Patxi’s last night and stood in the doorway for more than ten minutes counting the empty tables that we could easily seat ourselves at before the hostess acknowledged our presence. When she did, she didn’t even smile or ask us how we were doing, she just finally made eye contact and waited for us to speak. She said«Okay» after we asked for a table for two and just turned and started walking away. We followed assuming that she was going to seat us since she grabbed menus. She put menus on a table so we sat there and she promptly just walked away. No, «you’re server will be right with you» no «I’ll be right back with some water for you». Just straight walked away. We sat at the table for 18 minutes without being acknowledge by a single person. We never got waters and nobody even acknowledged that we were there. I would say this was the worst dining experience I’ve ever had but it doesn’t even qualify because I never got to dine on anything. We got up and left and still nobody acknowledged us. We walked past the hostess at the front door who watched us leave and never said a word. We walked down the street to one of the many other options in Ballard and including the walk and being seated, we had water, drinks, and food in front of us in half the time that we had spent at Patxi’s getting nothing but more hungry. This was despite the fact that there was one server and she was tending the bar and serving tables and it was busy. Patxi’s you’re staff could take a lesson from this lady because your current staff seems to be clueless. I might stop back in Patxi’s to give it one more try during a happy hour because I’m definitely not going to pay $ 18 for a small, thin crust pizza that doesn’t even fill me up when the service doesn’t make up for what I’m overpaying for the food. But then I might also never go here again. The only reason I would even consider giving it one more chance is because my first two times here were good experiences. If I do give it another try and the service and food are not phenomenal, I’ll never be back without a doubt.

We were exploring Ballard with some out-of-town guests on January 2 — since the nearby sandwich shops were crowded, we stumbled into Patxi’s. It had plenty of tables set around a large central bar in a big, airy room. Our server was charming and said they were known for their unique deep dish, mentioning those could take up to 40 minutes. Since we didn’t have the time, we ordered two thin crust pizza options and an appetizer — the Burrata Bruschetta(which was absolutely *incredible*, a fantastic variation on traditional bruschetta). We were all ecstatic when the pizzas arrive in about 12 minutes. Everyone at the table agreed it was some of the best pizza we had EVER had — the salsiccia and the prosciutto arugula. The flavors, the textures — all incredible! The light bright dressing on the arugula added a fresh twist, the sausage used was fresh and complex. Bravo! We can’t wait to go back and try the deep dish options when we have planned more time(this weekend maybe!?) — the server said they are happy to take orders over the phone when you on your way in to have ready soon after you arrive.

We were told there would be a 20 minute wait for a table for 3, but it ended up being like 2 minutes which was quite the surprise. Loved the ambiance of the place, bar in the middle and seating all around. I noticed this place was very family friendly which I liked even though we didn’t have our little ones with us. If you want to get a deep dish pizza, expect to wait at least 45 minutes for it. If you’re not pressed for time DOIT! We decided to wait and ordered the Greek in deep dish, and the Salsiccia thin. 2 pizzas for 3 ladies was a little more than we needed, but worth taking leftovers home. The pizzas were really flavorful. I really liked our service — friendly and attentive. The prices weren’t bad considering the quality of the pizza. I will be back for sure!

Ordered delivery with a deep dish pizza. Took an hour and a half to get to me, half mile away, On a Wednesday. The person delivering didn’t have change. The pizza was just drenched in red sauce. Tasted like dominos. Maybe I don’t know deep dish pizza but I was not a fan considering it cost me $ 40 for a medium pizza and two cans of soda. Have been to patxi’s twice before and was underwhelmed. This was the final strike, I’ll just stick to veraci.

I have a problem. And it’s named Patxi’s. Pronounced Paa-chees, this delicious pizza is worth the parking nightmare in Ballard. They have both deep dish and thin crust pies. If you go the deep dish route(which I highly recommend), plan on it taking around 45 minutes from the time you order to the time you get to have your first delicious, wondrous, life-changing bite. Our standard order: padron peppers, butter lettuce salad, and the special deep dish. So good. They have plenty of beers on draft, the game is often on TV, and the service is stellar. I am enamored with this place!

I love the space with its brick walls and nice wooden tables. The service was superb as well with very friendly waitlists that didn’t flinch when our three year old has a screaming fit. We went here to visit a friend who lives in the neighborhood and sample their deep dish. Having grown up in Chicago and missing the deep dish from back home from Pizzeria Uno and Lou Malnati’s, this one wasn’t exactly the same but came close and satisfied my craving. Visiting their website, I didn’t realize that they have so many locations and wish they had a Patxi on the Eastside since I sense this would be a regular take-out spot for us.

Absolutely delicious! Great stop after the Ballard Farmers Market on Sundays, especially in the fall. TVs show the Seahawks game, or any other game, and the bartenders concoct great Bloody Mary’s. We ordered the Burrata Bruschetta and it was fantastic. Perfect for two!

I had a business meeting lunch today, and I was told to decide where the two of us should go. Patxi’s was recommended to me given their proximity to my office, and that they have a stellar $ 10 lunch deal — what better reasons?! First off, Paxti’s is a great place for business lunches — why, you ask? Well, they don’t seem to be too busy during the lunch hour — we arrived at 12:30pm to a pretty desolate restaurant. Now, this can sometimes be a bad sign(empty resto’s = bad food or service?!), but judging by the reviews on Unilocal I did not suspect anything bad. We were promptly — and very pleasantly — greeted by one of two servers, and taken to a spacious table for 4, despite just being 2 of us. Water glasses and a full jug were provided immediately, along with the ample menu. The lunch special was not listed on their menu, but I knew to ask — and at $ 10 for the special, you can’t go wrong as it includes an 8″ pizza and your choice of Caesar or arugula salad. I opted to go with a gluten-free crust(extra $ 2 — which she told me upfront, and I appreciated knowing!), with sausage and Calabrian peppers as my toppings of choice– and also subbing for Daiya(dairy-free) cheese. My colleague had a mushroom and sausage pizza with the arugula salad, while I opted for a Caesar. The Caesar dressing was truly stellar — I’m quite sure it’s homemade, and not Kraft out of a bottle — the crisp romaine was tossed lightly with the dressing and served with two olive oil-toasted baguette crostinis. The pizzas came about 10 – 15 minutes later, with my «special» pizza coming out on a spiral pedestal(no joke). The gluten-free crust was extra thin — which I love — but as a result, it was quick to be overcooked and had an almost dried out cracker consistency. Not bad enough to complain about in front of a colleague, mind you, but it could have been so much better with less time in the oven(IMHO). Despite be fairly deserted, the service NEVER suffered. Sometimes I find when restaurants are dead, so too do the servers act. Not here — service was über friendly, and a real pick me up during the long work day. It’s refreshing(and sadly, somewhat rare) to get such genuinely upbeat and prompt service — but our server(sorry, I forgot your name!) delivered on all accounts, which was so appreciated! Will I be back? You bet — Patxi’s is a place worth stopping in for a bite to eat. We easily got in and out within an hour. Prices are good, food is awesome, and service caps it all off for a stellar experience.

Their deep dish pizzas are worth the 40 minute wait! The pizzas are incredibly cheesy and full of flavor. The server also suggested to eat the remaining crust with honey at the table. Definitely would recommend to friends.

Not going to lie, I’ve never been a huge fan of deep dish pizza after I tried it in Chicago. But that’s probably more because I’m lactose intolerant and the insane amount of cheese makes me sick. So I was a little unsure about trying it here but my companion was really craving a taste of home so we decided to try. The ambience feels like a hipster pizza parlor. But I’m not complaining because they have delicious craft beers on tap along with great customer service. Happy hour everyday 3 – 6 so we were able to get $ 4 pints(originally $ 6) We got the favorite 10inch deep dish pizza. Deep dish does take 40 minutes so time your hunger well! It’s def still a thinner crust compared to the deep dishes in Chicago. But I almost liked that better because it wasn’t as filling and felt lighter. It’s not heavy on the cheese either which is a big plus for me! The sauce is also more acidic and not as sweet. All in all I wouldn’t call this an authentic Chicago deep dish but that’s alright because I like the lighter west coast version to be honest. I loved that they included honey and hot oil on table. The acidity of the pizza sauce contrasted with the honey dipping super well! The honey raised the pizza one extra star! An issue I had was I felt the crust wasn’t as crunchy as I liked. It was almost a little too chewy. My Chicago transplant companion said it wasn’t the same as Chicago but it was still a delicious pizza and I would agree. I would recommend coming just to try the pizza with the honey!

Deep dish, thin crust, and surprisingly amazing salads. This place has variety of options besides having a pizza. You can taste the fresh ingredients and appreciate the preparation of a gourmet pizza. Very nice causal setting within the establishment including a great indoor bar seating layout. Plenty of TV’s to view games or other channels. The staff and service was exceptional! Including the host Jay greeted me as I walk right to the door and provided me recommendations on the menu. The bartender I believe her name was Angel was great with drinks and friendly. Also great place for happy hour!

I like it deep, deep dish that is! If you want to experience Chicago style pizza but don’t have the actual time or money to travel to Chicago Paxti’s is the next best thing! It caught my eye when walking around during the Ballard Sunday Farmer’s Market. The place is quite big and spacious. The bar is in the center with TVs all around, bar seating, and regular table seating. Looked like there was a good variety of beers on tap as well. I can see it getting packed when there’s a big game on. My eyes immediately jumped to the deep dish pizza when I saw the menu and they have different flavors too! Heads up that there is about a 45 minute wait if you order deep dish. So my date and I started out with a salad which was pretty big in size and everything was fresh. After we finished the pizza was ready! Now it could be that when we went it was a pretty slow night. It was only us and another couple in the restaurant, but I’m not complaining. The pizza is awesome! We ordered a 10″ all meat pizza. I usually can only eat 1 – 2 regular sized pizza slices but I finished 2 of these big thick slices. It was heaven. The crust is delicious, it’s kinda thick yet still crunchy and it’s perfect for dipping and scooping up all the extra sauce. We ended up taking a few slices home and I can definitely say that the leftover pizza was just as good! Our waitress was really sweet! Helped us decide on a pizza and was very attentive. Made some small chat here and there, just overall very friendly. I’m surprised I haven’t tried this place sooner but better late than never!

So I didn’t actually get the chance to dine in here because my hungry boyfriend wanted me to pick it up since I was already in the area so I ordered takeout. I ordered over the phone before driving over and the hostess on the other line was a sweetheart! However, I was saddened to know that the deep dishes took 45 – 60 minutes to cook!!! Oh wells. Gave me more time to explore the neighboring cafes and bakeries. I came in only 40 minutes after my phone order and the pizza was already sitting out and ready to go! The interior of the place is pretty spacious and very clean with a hip/young vibe to it. The hostess gave me my pizza with extra parm and peppers like I asked and also threw in 2 coupons for FREE personal pizzas during happy hour! love it. My commute back home during rush hour took almost an hour but luckily the pizza didn’t suffer!!! It was delicious as ever and still hot! I ordered a 10 inch special deep dish with jalapeños and it fed enough for probably 3 people. The sausage was cooked and seasoned nicely and went well with the mushrooms, onions, and jalapeños, and there was a good balance of sauce to it too. But my favorite part was the crust!!!(i’m a freak for carbs) it was crunchy yet soft and salted and buttered to absolute perfection. I’ll definitely be back to redeem my HH coupons and explore their menu!

Went here on a Monday and it wasn’t busy at all. Nice new, clean place. Plenty of tables, bar area, tv screens, nice décor, spacious, cool lighting fixtures, bigger than most places on Ballard Ave. We were pretty hungry and decided to over-order to have some leftovers(but we gave our leftovers to a homeless guy). We started with the Caesar Salad, it had good amount of dressing, served with little bread crustinis and glad they actually put anchovies in it for that briney, salty, slightly fishiness flavor hit in yo mouth. Heard some good things about their meatballs(not sure where I heard it from but it looked good enough to try). I was thinking it would be 1 gigantic meatball but it’s 6 small meatballs with a tasty tomato sauce served with delicious garlic bread to scoop up that sauce in. Meatballs were very moist too. Quite tasty! As for pizza, we decided to get the«Funghi» pizza that had roasted mushrooms and thin cut prosciutto(sp). Quite tasty as well… I could’ve used a bit more sauce on it but wasn’t dry. Deep dish takes about 45 minutes as they cook to order, but thin crust takes like 10 minutes or so. We got our pizza pretty quickly as it wasnt busy. As some others have noticed, they have honey at the tables to drizzle or dip your crust into. Nice touch on that. I used my crust to sop up that meatball tomato sauce that we still had. Service was attentive and fine, dinner wasn’t busy at all so they were quick to remove dishes, and check on us. They also give you a chilled glass water jug for your own refill needs. Overall, definitely will be back to try out other items. Little on the pricier side but glad I came in.
