Peoples Storage

Excellent customer service! Prices are a tad higher than others in the area — but the 2 friendly older women who man the desk make it worth the extra $$$. Accessible, very clean, not too crowded — awesome experience — best part of my interstate move by far.

Without a doubt one of the worst places I’ve stored my belongings. There was no music playing when I rented my first units there… but when I returned to my units, they had loud rock music playing through the speaker system… at least one of my units was also burglarized there… They also told me when I first rented the unit that no renters had access outside of the posted hours, but I know that was not true… I got there before 6AM and waited and witnessed another renter going in before 6AM when it was supposed to be open for all renters.

I happily stored some of my extra property here. I would have continued to do so but recently moved into a place with much more storage than I used to have. The building is monitored ²⁴⁄₇. Not once did I ever have concerns about my own or belongings safety. While physical access to the storage is limited, I had zero issues since I never foresaw any need to retrieve items in the middle of the night.
I’ve visited a few storage units in the Ballard /​Fremont area and none compare to the cleanliness of Peoples Storage. The florescent lights and white walls /​doors did remind me of a crazy laboratory. My girlfriend said it reminded her of the movie Resident Evil — where crazy science experiment gone wrong zombies might be lurking behind a corner. I thought: No worries. If zombies did start chasing us in here, the corridors and exits are easy enough for humans to navigate but challenging enough to trip up some stupid zombies.
Anyway, great secure storage managed by extremely kind folks.

Couldn’t ask for a better place to store my crap!
Not 24-​hour access, but you have until 9pm to get in and out and they open back up at 6am every morning. Which is perfect for me. Office hours are every day of the week. typically closing around 6.
Prices are comparable to what other storage facilities offer and the location is fantastic: central to Wallingford-​Fremont-​Phinney Ridge-​Ballard.
I have no fears about the safety of my things because 1) the 3-​story warehouse is monitored by on-​site managers 24/​7and 2) nobody wants my things.
Anyway. No complaints.
