Very poor experience. Girls came back feeling“physically and mentally beat up.” Camp counsellors refused to refill water during all day in the 90 degree weather. Kids, who were first told to drink«5 ½ bottles per day» we’re the told«well, you can live half a bottle» when the water the camp brought ran out and the counsellors didn’t feel driving back to the camp to refill. Teen boy bus driver was PURPOSELY weaving and stopping suddenly to toss around the kid occupants, who were so packed that many had no seats. No seatbelt. Are you kidding me? Counsellors had developed terrible attitudes, on their phones sitting instead of working. When Peter came by they would text«the eagle has landed» and start to pretend to care. Terrible food — powdered eggs. Few Fresh fruits — counsellors kept and ate the raspberries. For 10 hours of soccer? Kids had to pay 1.25 to buy an apple from the camp store because they were hungry. 15 kids in a communal shower, ditto the sleeping arrangements. At the end, counsellors said to the kids — «we can’t wait til camp is over and we get paid.» Unfortunately the kids couldn’t wait til it was over and WE paid. Peter, you teach good soccer but you need to completely overhaul your camp, the food, your selection and supervision of counsellors. Kids should rate their counsellors after each week. Get a real«bus driver» and«chef» as your website promised. Lack of water, scary driving are unforgivable and a week with rude, lazy, insolent and disrespectful counsellors(a few exceptions — good counselor in the girls cabin) basically amounted to bullying.
