I was a bridesmaid for a wedding that Jenny shot in 2011and when I got engaged, I knew that I wanted her as my photographer for my own wedding in LA.
Jenny is amazing to work with. She is professional, responsive, and accommodating (especially when it came to our many Asian extended family shot). On the day of the wedding, she took charge and everywhere we looked we saw Jenny shooting photos. Many of our family and friends came up to us and told us how great she was. She is great at capturing those truly memorable candid moments that make a wedding so special.

Have you ever met someone and immediately liked them? Have you ever seen artwork and thought, «That person must be amazing?» Jenny is both of those people. Her beautiful photography is a complement to her amazing person. Throughout our entire process Jenny was easy to work with. On the big day she was a photo ninja, seemingly everywhere at once. She deftly managed the well-​meaning but intrusive family members, the screaming children, and all the unplanned events that go along with a wedding.

Jenny did our wedding photos. We couldn’t be happier.
As you can tell from her gorgeous photos and snazzy website, Jenny is a talented professional. Anyone would be lucky to have her as their photographer. She did everything she promised, and more.
When I first perused her photos I thought, «oh, these people look so amazing. I wonder if it’s just them, or if I’ll really look THAT cool in mine.» Hands down, Jenny can capture the right moments and make anyone look stunning.
She held our hands whenever we needed her, and when it came to our wedding day, she took charge so that we could stay focused on the important stuff (family, chaos and wine drinkery.)
If you want a photographer on the cheap, go elsewhere — and be disappointed later. You won’t regret a dime spent on this woman. I suggest booking out in advance if possible. She’s a busy lady!

Unless you plan hiring Thomas Struth to photo your wedding, hire Jenny. My husband and I hired Jenny to shoot our wedding four years ago. She befriended everyone, and produced perfect images. (Maybe it helped that we had a perfect wedding.) Nonpareil is the word for Jenny.

Jenny is such an energetic & acrobatic force of nature that is hard to put how awesome she is into words!
First, she is a consummate professional. From initial consultation to the wedding day, Jenny is the epitome of an organized business woman who remains calm (even FUN) under pressure. Prior to the wedding, she offers invaluable and practical advice, and responds quickly to emails with questions.
Jenny has wedding photography down to a science. Whether it’s getting an impossible giggle out of stiff Uncle Bob, shooting your bridal party through her legs while she is sliding into a split, or making up time when the couple is falling behind schedule, Jenny truly can handle (and make the most of) anything that comes her way.
Why I loved working with Jenny:
1. She’s so cool. One of those people who makes you feel like you’ve known her forever within minutes of meeting her.
2. She knows how to make people feel comfortable in front of the camera, focusing on candid shots and natural interactions.
3. She scouts your ceremony & reception locations before the wedding so she can find awesome settings for your photos.
4. She is a photo ninja — showing up just as that special moment is about to naturally unfold, and getting down on the dance floor with the craziest crowd to make sure all angles of the party are covered. (I think at one point she was lying on her back on the dance floor & we were all crowded over her smiling into her lens!)
5. She has a mean high kick.
I sound like I am girl crushing, and maybe I am, but literally all of my friends and family were raving about Jenny after the wedding. She was our photographer and the life of the party at the same time. Where does she get the energy?!
We hired Jenny for our NYC wedding and it one of the BEST decisions we made. She traveled from Seattle and her rates (including travel) were comparable to all the local NY photogs we spoke with.
Call Jenny, trust me, you’ll be hooked!

Jenny is the best! She knocked our June 14^th wedding out of the park!
We were referred Jenny’s way by my husband’s colleague, who used her services for his wedding waaaay back when and who now swear by her for all his family photo ops. We totally owe that guy dinner.
Jenny was professional yet approachable from day 1, and made it a point to get to know us as a couple in our meetings leading up to the big day. She even snooped around our neighborhood to scout out photo ops. She served up none BS and was completely transparent and willing to work with our budget and schedule as they evolved over the final months.
Day of, she was on site early and ready to roll. In my experience attending weddings, a detail that has always driven me nuts is the «inconspicuous» photog duo decked out in head to toe Goodwill hues of washed out black getting in everyone’s way and standing out like displaced puppeteers. Jenny flew efficiently solo and actually blended in with our guests. She worked the room like an old friend and did her casual wedding magic, making the camera part of the day rather than some foreign, imposing prop sneaking up on people. I’m pretty sure the only part of the event where her role as a paid vendor became obvious to our guests was during the formal wedding party/​family photo shoot. Otherwise, she was at one with the party.
Icing on the professional cake, Jenny put herself out to act as a liaison with our various POCs as needed to smooth over stupid details everyone had overlooked, like having lunch plated for us.
The highlight of our experience was hands down Jenny’s excitement about our location. Our venue was ~6 blocks up the street from our apartment, and she jumped on that opportunity. We were able to hop back to our home for our «couple’s only» formal photo time slot after the ceremony, and do some shots inside and out, around the block and up the street. It was more US than anything we could have come up with on our own.
Jenny was the sh*t. She was great with kids. She was great with drunk adults. She was great with vendors. She was a dream come true. We’ve never had a reason to work with a photographer before, but now we can’t help but talk about how fun and beautiful our family photos by Jenny will be in the years to come. Seriously — we might need to work out some kind of retainer ;)

Jenny hella sick. Me ugly. She make me not ugly … not as ugly … she make my wife and child not ugly … they not ugly but she make them even more not ugly … she makes them beautiful … they are beautiful and i am ugly and Jenny makes everyone Miley Fucking Cyrus. Jenny’s a genius.

Jenny is truly fantastic. We used her for our engagement shoot and our wedding shoot and the photos she took were some of the best I’ve ever seen. We wanted a photographer that was slightly ‘different’ and that wouldn’t take the run-​of-​the-​mill type photos that so many wedding photographers take. Jenny is such a nice person, and so good at just putting her subjects at ease. . and most of the time you just forget you’re even being photographed! We’ve just had our first child and Jenny is going to be doing a ‘newborn’ photoshoot for us too. . I can’t wait! It will be great to see her again and great to have us take some photos of us and our precious little baby! Bottom line — I would recommend Jenny for any type of occasion. . and there’s nothing I can fault her for. Great photos and a great person.

We spent the better part of a week looking through different portfolios of various photographers for our anniversary party. When we finally came across Jenny’s portfolio we stopped, made the call and booked her for our event. What her amazing portfolio doesn’t show, is how great she is to work with and how integrated she becomes in the event. She coaxed people out of their «shells» in an instant and got real, candid photos instead of forced smiling photos that I so often see.
If you are looking for an amazing photographer, do what we did; Stop, make the call and book her today!

If you can book her before she becomes a nationally (or internationally) famous photographer, do it. Her hilarious, warm, and funky personality lead to hilarious, warm, and funky photos that really capture your event (our wedding, in this case). Warning though: if you are bland and boring: want to pose awkwardly holding your hand just so, now, oh just scooch over a bit and place your hand here. No higher. Okay, now smile.
Then just hire whatever bland push-​the-​button photographer. Jenny is THE gal if you are at all interesting.

Jenny takes absolutely amazing photos! And she is so easy to work with. She shot both our engagement session and wedding photos, and I’ve never felt so at ease with a camera pointed at me. She gets perfect candid shots. My father, not given to hyperbole, described the results as «some of the most perfect beautiful wonderful fun photos I’ve seen!» I can’t thank her enough for the incredible moments she captured for us.

Jenny was exactly what we were looking for. We wanted family portraits that were unposed, unique and artistic. She did that and more. She was great with my kid and put us all at ease. The quality and individuality of the shots blew me away. Way more than I expected. Can’t say enough.

We got lucky when we found Jenny Jimenez. She was super fun to work with and had no trouble fitting right in with our group. What a fantastic artist and people person she is! Jenny had a deft touch with getting the best shots. She’s got super energy, and is very professional without being stuffy. Working with her was a highlight of our engagement. We are so very tickled with our wedding photography that it will hold a place in the Top 5 investments we will make as a couple.

Wow, it’s quite boring to give Jenny another 5 star review, but she leaves me no choice! Jenny shot our wedding in August, and I can’t imagine having a better experience. We had planned our wedding from India when we were living abroad, and began our relationship with her on skype headphones discussing what kind of photos we were interested in. The warmth, familiarity, responsiveness and creativity only continued from there. Jenny is such a beautiful presence and takes pictures that are classy, creative and unusual all at once. The photos capture not simply the beauty of the landscape and the people involved, but evoke the feeling of the wedding itself. I just can’t say enough about the photos and about Jenny as a human being — both incredible.

Jenny’s background in band/​fashion photography leads to a wedding photography experience above and beyond your typical family mugshot scenario. Two years after she shot my wedding in 2006, people are still talking about the photos! She also shot my sister’s wedding in 2008.
I can’t imagine recommending anyone other than Jenny for a photography project.

Can I give Jenny 10 stars? I would if I could. The amount of love imbued into each moment really struck me — whether it’s a wedding photo or a crazy moment in the middle of a show. I’ve assisted Jenny in a variety of settings, and she always makes her clients feel so at ease. She is funny and lovely and so incredibly talented. The moment I got engaged, I called her immediately — I couldn’t wait to ask her to shoot my wedding.
Seriously, 10 stars, she’s earned every one.
