Phyzz is a mobile yoga studio that specializes in transforming spaces into beautiful places for energizing bodies and minds. We have brought yoga into offices, art galleries, weddings, and even smoothie shops (seriously, it’s very cool).

Established in 2004.

Since 2004, Phyzz operated on the principle that NOW is precisely the time for businesses to attend to their most valuable resource: their people.

We at Phyzz believe that yoga and meditation build the human spirit in such a profound way, and give people the tools they need to be well in this world. Most importantly, they nurture — and, where needed, heal — the intrinsic relationship between our bodies, our minds, our spirits, and our livelihood.

Business Owner

Decades after her mother first introduced her to yoga through Raquel Welch’s video workout series, Karen continues to enjoy sharing with others the peace she finds through teaching yoga. As a lifelong musician, Karen appreciates and enjoys sharing the physical and energetic potency of chanting and mantra as tools to prepare the body and mind for meditation. She has been practicing yoga for 12 years and teaching for 6, having completed the her Teacher Training program in 2003 at Samadhi Yoga in Seattle.

Karen has been teaching corporate yoga classes in the Seattle area for over 5 years, and still loves helping people see «yoga at work» by transforming their everyday workspaces into beautiful places for yoga and wellness.

Since I embraced yoga as a regular practice, life’s been better than good. Phyzz Yoga has a lot to do with that, too.
I take a private class with Karen once a week. Before we start to practice, she asks how everything is doing in both my physical and emotional levels in order to tailor our class to what my body and soul are needing that day. She is a good listener and always have a tip or a suggestion to add that I happily welcome. She’s also very encouraging and makes sure you know how your practice is improving. Plus, every class is different. I have to say, my weekly yoga time is, perhaps, my favorite of the week. It leaves me energized, relaxed, joyful and empowered.
If you want to get the best yoga instruction possible (with a twist of warmth and kindness), Karen is your gal. She’s not only a terrific instructor, she’s also a wonderful, smart and lovely lady. I can’t recommend her enough. I’ve taken a few good classes in Seattle, but Karen’s classes are my top #1.

Karen is great! I’ve been working out getting healthy all that sort of good stuff, but I wanted to try some yoga but I watched a class at my gym and was way out of my comfort zone. So I got ahold of Karen and she did a one on one class and it couldn’t have been better. She walked me through the positions and helped me get stretched out, and work up a pretty good sweat! If anyone askes or even gives the slightest interest I will be telling them about Karen and singing her praises. I feel like I can go to a regular class without making a goof out of myself, I might still stay in the back row but now I feel like its going to be doable. Thanks Karen!

I set up yoga in our workplace through Karen and Phyzz Yoga. We’ve had a good response and people are definitely excited to have easy access to yoga right in our office once a week. Karen is easy to work with and very accommodating. We’ve loved having Peter teach us! He adapts to the varied levels of the students and we always leave refreshed.

Karen is a no-​brainer referral for yoga for me and I’m spoiled because of it. I personally have worked with her and have referred multiple people to her. I almost always suggest yoga to my patients (I’m a chiropractor) to help them recover from their struggle with chronic tension or acute injuries and Karen is the best.
Karen is a rare yoga instructor in that she easily creates flows that will keep you at a challenging level while also accomodating your needs. It feels like a cross between yoga, personal trainging and physical therapy because she helps you:
A-​get comfortable with a range of simple to difficult poses based on your capabilities,
B-​push you just hard enough to gain ground without letting you get overzealous and injure yourself, and
C-​reach the right stance through verbal cues and physically helping shift positions.
If you are looking for a personal lesson or even a group-​style or corporate set of sessions, Karen should definitely be your first choice.

It can be hard to find people who are great at what they do, and skillful enough to adapt to a customer with limitations at the same time.
Karen has been able to form yoga routines that show results even with my various injuries and physical challenges. Bum knee… check. Rotator cuff issues… check. Ankle sprain in recovery… check. Neck tension… check.
Providing private sessions as a primer to work on problem areas before I transition into regular classes with less specialized attention has really made the whole bendy-​quest less daunting.

Karen is an amazing yoga instructor. Her classes are steady, simple and classic. She plays awesome music, and doesn’t put on a ‘yoga voice’ to teach. She gives enough instruction so that I can truly find a pose, but doesn’t inundate me with too many words and distraction. I always leave feeling ready calm and rejuvinated.

Karen (aka Mizz Phyzz Yoga) taught a yoga class on the morning of our wedding day. It was wonderful to take a class with my mom, sister, dad and friends – the one and only time we have all been able to share this experience. Karen was great at teaching to all the different body types and experience levels present on that lovely morning.
Who doesn’t need a little yoga on one of the most special days of their life? It was a big deal day and the yoga helped me be present for all that it was.

Sitting at a desk all day doing work, even if you love it, can take a toll on the body and the mind. We are so fortunate to have Karen come to Office Nomads to guide us through fantastic yoga sessions. Yoga at the office ROCKS!
For an hour we get to leave our desks, reenter our bodies, regain our focus, and find our centers. Karen’s demeanor seems to be built for yoga instruction — quiet and strong, she empowers us to reach our day’s potential. I leave each class feeling renewed, both in body and in mind.
At Office Nomads, we’ve received a ton of great feedback on how great it is that we host yoga sessions, even just once a week — our members truly appreciate it and sign up to join without hesitation. She has catered her classes to fit our coworkers specifically, and we all appreciate it greatly.

Karen’s Morning YO stretch sessions at Healeo are just what I needed to improve my flexibility. I love it! It’s the best combination ever to be guided through some stretching by a very supportive and knowledgeable instructor, and then to follow it up with a delicious breakfast beverage while chatting with friends.
I ALWAYS leave walking taller and feeling so excited about the rest of my day.
Karen guides us through stretching, starting out gently and then moving through more intense moves that offer something for everyone that attends, regardless of each person’s level of flexibility. If you want to stand taller, have better posture and feel really really great, check it out.
