Pie Bar

A small slice of happiness.
Our cravings for sweet desserts and strong cocktails led us to the Pie Bar. This is probably one of the coziest ways to enjoy dessert and drinks. The small footprint and crowd size may deter some patrons, however delicious pies await for the ones who are willing to wait. The Pie Bar has tight seating arrangements and can probably accommodate a max of 25 people at a time. This bar features savory and fruit pies. They also offer pie infused cocktails, beers on tap, and ciders. Despite the simple menu, choosing which pie to order became such a dilemma. There were so many great selections it took us a few moments to decide. We ordered the desserted island, peanut butter chocolate, and coconut. I also ordered the Pie Reviver cocktail to accompany the pies.
The desserted island pie had a catchy spelling. The pie had a blend of strawberries, apples, raspberries, marionberries, and topped with streusel. Delightful combination of sweet fruit taste and buttery streusel topping made me think of a fruit crisp. The chocolate peanut butter pie was rich and decadent and the taste definitely resembled a peanut butter cup. The coconut pie was light and the egg custard was smooth. Flakes of coconut adds a nice texture. All of the pies were served with a generous amount of whipped cream. The pie reviver cocktail had a strong flavor of licorice and was generously poured.
The Pie Bar also offers a walk-​up window for take out orders. Service was amazing and efficient given that there were only two people working at the time of our visit. I would definitely return for more as this bar made our dessert night easy as pie.

Alright I came here after my birthday dinner. I used their one bathroom and then added out name to the list. I was standing outside in my birthday dress and it wasn’t warm waiting for them to call my name. Unfortunately they never called my name so I had to stand in line and get it for the road. Literally I was eating it in route because there was a lonnnnggg wait. If you are going here to take out cool. However if you are going to sit on a Saturday on a rainy day especially you will not get a seat. I have been to the Ballard location and that one is WAYYYY bigger than this one. However the fruit pies are delicious so that is why I keep coming back. Its really cool the drinks and pie options. Check check out the presenations too, they really do it well. I love me some pie! That crusty yet flaky with some awesome filling, yum. The line was crazy and our party of 7 should of ordered together but we decided to separate it which see ok at the time. Anyway bt the time I ordered, I pissed off the other asians in the line bc I made them wait, I apologize but they didn’t say anything.
Good thing I was just visiting. On to the pie, I got lemon meringue which was good but I think my cousin’s derby pie which was pecan was better.
You’ll have to get it togo bc the bar inside is always packed. Oh and another downside is that the pie slices are tiny. Not worth the money.

The pies here are amazing! We loved it so much we went the next day. If we were in Seattle longer we would’ve gone everyday.
I got the cherry pie one day, and the apple the next. Get it with ice cream! It’s heaven. My friend also got the banana cream which was really good, and I don’t even like bananas.
The owner is also very friendly. We probably spent 15 minutes talking to her each day. She was so helpful and perky.
The shop doesn’t open til 5 though, and Monday’s and Tuesday’s you can only get the pie through a window. They open the lounge areas wed– the rest of the week.
You got to check this place out!
It’s around $ 6 a pie too

Decided to check this place out after eating dinner because it had late hours. Pleasantly surprised!
First, the actual restaurant is super smal and we didn’t get inside. But it wasn’t too bad because we just wanted pie ala mode and didn’t care to have any drinks. There is an outdoor window where you can order just pie and coffee and there was no wait. We ordered 4 different pies. The peanut butter chocolate, banana, strawberry crumble and apple crumble. Both crumble pies were AMAZING. Super warm and very fulfilling. The banana and peanut butter were a little too creamy but if you’re into that it would’ve been sufficient.
I love that it is open until 2am and totally great concept to serve pie AND alcohol together for late nap caps. Would 100% come back here and recommend to everyone visiting Seattle!

I was really excited about coming here. We got seated quickly and the service was fine. The food also tasted fine, although the savory pie was a bit bland. The dessert crumble was very tasty… until I noticed a hair in it. I should have spoken up then but flicked it off and decided to ignore it. Accidents happen. However, once we finished our pie, I saw FOUR more short hairs on the plate. I can only assume the person preparing our food did not cover their hair (or beard, could have been from either based on the length of the hairs).
This place has a nice atmosphere and food worth trying, but that much hair really isn’t acceptable. They need to make sure things in the kitchen are clean.

Stopped by yesterday night and the bar was packed. Ordered a banana cream pie a la mode ($ 7) at the togo order window. Majority of the pie was a lot of whipped cream and a little banana cream.
Compared to our favorite banana cream pie at Marie Calendars back home, this one just couldn’t compare :\ Especially when we can get a whole pie for $ 7 back home.
If I were to come back, I think I’d go for the peanut butter chocolate pie, but as for banana cream, I don’t think I’d recommend.

Pie + a Bar = Best idea ever.
We didn’t care that we just indulged in dinner. We had the shuttle drop us off in front of a little window with a flashing open sign. This little window held pies, which was a little distracting from the ‘Open’ sign.
Once we found the door, we went in to this odd triangle shaped bar and grabbed a snug seat at the bar. The owner and another employee were bustling about behind the bar. We had no idea it was an actual bar, in addition to pie, until we took in the whole sight.
Their savory pies looked amazing too, but since we just ate dinner we couldn’t handle all of that. J went with a slice of Desserted Island — strawberries, raspberries, marionberries, Granny Smith apples washed down with a local cherry cider. I ordered a slice of the Peanut Butter Chocolate Pie and washed it down with a glass of Cab Sav. Both slices were heavenly, the crumble on J’s was really good. Almost made me a little sad I went with the PB slice, instead of a slice of apple.
Since it wasn’t too busy there, we were able to chat with the owner (a little odd or quirky, or introverted) and learn that his wife bakes them fresh each morning and sources as much as she can locally at farmers markets and whatnot. The best part is that the small window is also like a fast food window, you can order to-​go from outside.
Literally, a genius idea!

We were in Seattle for 4 days – so we ate out the entire time.
This was my favorite place. Yes, it’s a tad overpriced for the drinks. Yes, you’re probably going to have to wait. Is it worth it? Fuck yes.
We went here late on Friday night. We actually got lucky and seated right away. We had a couple of drinks and the pie. The PIE, THE PIE. I’m not a huge pie person. Not even a huge sweets person. But good pie god in pie heaven, it was divine. The Dessert Island Pie was the most perfect fruit pie I’ve ever had. And I hate cooked fruit. But from the crust, the perfect amount of sweetness to the ice cream… it really is the best of the best.
The service wasn’t super fast. It’s like 3 people running this crazy busy joint. But we didn’t mind. We know there’s only so much people can do when you’re consistently busy. But they were still fast enough for what it was.
If you’re in Seattle… come to this place. I was NOT disappointed.

I don’t always give out 5 stars, but this place deserves it.
Atmosphere: Tiny spot so GET THERE EARLY. It gets packed. There is window seating, and bar seating. Tight space though, but the inside is super cute.
Drinks: AMAZING. Full bar but I strongly recommend you get one of the drinks off of their drink menu. I had the apple pie martini which had apple pie crust on the rim of the glass. SO GOOD. The drink itself was creamy and strong and appley and just wonderful. My friend had an espresso type drink that was hot and also creamy but not quite as sweet as mine. It was really unique, and I think I would order that if I got the chance to go back.
Food: We didn’t get the pie but they ONLY sell by the slice, and the slices are HUGE.
Overall: Go go go! If you are visiting on a trip, this is a must!

My hubby gives this a place a ⁵⁄₅. He’s absolutely crazy about pie and thought this place was amazing. Pie is not my go-​to dessert and I’m a lot more picky. So I’m leaning towards a ⁴⁄₅.
It was our last day in town with our friends Mr. & Mrs. V and we wanted just a little more time together, so why not dessert? We were a little disappointed to see that the sit-​down part of the restaurant was closed and only their to-​go window was open. But the sweet lady told us that the bar next door would allow us to sit down with our pie and we could enjoy happy hour! Sounded good to us!
Mr. & Mrs. V shared one slice of Desserted Island (strawberries, raspberries, Marion berries and apples) and one slice of Coconut. They let me try the latter and it wonderful — very creamy and flavorful!
Hubby also got the Desserted Island. I’m really not a fruit pie fan, but I did try a bite and was quite smitten. The crumbly top is what every fruit pie should have and reminded me of the blackberry cobbler my mom used to make. The top was crispy and very sweet, like a cookie. And the under side had soaked up all the berry goodness. Make sure to get it a la mode for even more fun!
I chose the PB Chocolate Pie. It had a two inch layer of a whipped PB, an inch of whipped cream and the top was covered with chopped peanuts and drizzles of chocolate sauce. Everything about this pie was light and creamy, except for the crunch from the nuts and tiny bit of richness from the chocolate. Yum!

It works for a late night snack. And you will be squished in this tiny space. It’s more like a hallway than anything. It’s that small. And it will totally suck to try and find parking. But hey, it’s worth a trip. The bartenders enjoy what they do and they make all pies on site. If I lived in one of the nearby apartments you bet I’d hit up the arcade on the corner and then stop in for pie every night. Instead of savory pies, we instead went with 2 sweet pies. My derby pie was just so-​so. It was mushy and didn’t have as much flavor as I’d hoped. I guess they don’t make them like they do in the south, am I right?! But the berry pie he ordered came with a flaky crust and dreamy filling. Very good. The coffee was fantastic.

This place rocks! My husband and I were visiting from out of town and was in serious need of something sweet!
In comes this little hole in the wall, like literally. It’s s tight place and there’s not much space. Perfect for my husband and me but for anything larger then say 4 I suggest consider the outside window «drive thru». Yes they sell pies through s window right outside the main place AND it’s open until 2am. Perfect for a bite to eat after a night of drinking… Or u can just drink right there… After all it is a pie bar.
Now on to the selections. I order the peanut butter and chocolate pie which was so smoothly and creamy and full of flavor! My husband ordered the deserted island which to him was out of this world, it was so good!
We will surely return when we make our trips out to Seattle!

So this place is difficult when it comes to parking as it is off a very busy intersection where the i5 Northbound exit comes off. We found parking a couple of blocks south but if you’re lucky there’s parallel street parking in front.
It’s a VERY small place. Can fit 20 – 30 people and that’s about it. Everyone is either butting up next to you or sitting at most 6 inches away. My girlfriend and I got lucky to have found a bar top that was against the window where we didn’t have to squish ourselves between bar stools.
I ordered the burning apron (3 stars since the presentation of it was cool but it was a weird concoction of rum, amaretto and hot coffee). My girlfriend ordered the Keylime Pietini which was honestly one of the best I can imagine because I was expecting it to be a lot sweeter.
For dessert we tried the Desserted Pie which I definitely recommend. It’s a streusel with a ton of berries. Their pies are delicious, it’s a must try for sure. Hope to be back!
The line outside for pie is kind of outrageous as they have a pick up order window outside so you don’t have to dine in (great idea!)

I love the idea of Pie Bar. My friends and I went for some late night goodies and we weren’t disappointed. From the fruit pies to the cream pies, and pietini’s…I couldn’t help myself from trying them all.
They were super packed (it’s an incredibly small space which is utilized quite well, considering) but the service didn’t suffer and it didn’t take away from our experience. I really liked their apple pie and peanut butter pie but I don’t think you could go wrong with any of your choices. Pie Bar also offers savory pies which I have yet to enjoy but next time, I’ll save some room for those too!

I would not have tried this place if I wasn’t brought here by a friend after a long night of drinking. It is dimly lit and has a divey feel. The place is small fitting maximum 15 people but it is cozy with amazing food and drinks. If there is a line and you don’t want to wait, there is a convenient to-​go window.
All the savory pies come with a delicious baby arugula and beet salad. Its awesome that the complimentary side salad is just as good as the entrée. The «turkey pot pie» and the «beef and steak» are both equally delicious with a crispy crust but savory, soft inside. The pies are seasoned well and not salty. FYI, the salad is only served if you dine-​in.
The peanut butter pie is totally under rated and very good! The apple crumble pie is a little sweet for my taste but the crumble is absolutely delicious and the vanilla ice cream balances the sweetness.

M went completely wild over this awkwardly tiny tri-​tip shaped spot, with bar seating and some tables with tall chairs. The menu is sort of exciting; a healthy list of savory and sweet pie varieties, not to mention a plethora of dessert cocktails. After flipping through the Unilocal photos, I think I would probably really enjoy their Summer seasonal pies. Bookmarking this place for a July visit!
We shared the strawberry rhubarb pie, served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. The crumble was really delicious. The pie itself had no surprises, it was just a good slice of strawberry rhubarb pie.
Just as a side thought, I was a little disappointed that the pie is reheated in the microwave for 45 seconds or so. I mean, I do that at home with Claim Jumper pies during a lazy holiday rainy evening, but it’s sort of a turn off for a $ 8 or so slice. Of course reasonable, practical M said, «Well, how else would you get a hot slice of pie? You think they’re going to make it fresh right there for you?» Yeah. Okay. Fine. I did overhear that the pies are made freshly every day. It’ll just have to do. Also, would be kind of cool if they took it up a notch and served artisanal ice cream.

We stopped by Pie Bar to grab a slice to bring home for dessert. They have a cute take out window to grab pies to go.
This spot also serves alcohol and savory pies (comes with a side salad), which are great for dinner too. Although I didn’t get a chance to eat at the bar, I could see a lively and friendly atmosphere inside. Definitely recommend to check it out if you have a chance!
Trouble by all the delicious options, we opted for one of their most popular item: the desserted Island — Strawberries, Raspberries, Marionberries, Granny Smith Apples, Streusel ($ 6 and $ 8 with ice cream). The pie didn’t look as appetizing when we got home, as the lack of crust on the bottom didn’t keep the filling of the pie together. However, it was still delightful and delicious! The thick, crusty topping streusel was paired perfectly with the berries filling. Although I exceptionally enjoy eating the crust of pies, I think Pie Bar did an awesome job with reducing the pie crust and focusing on the topping and filling. Yum!
FYI, the cashier also recommended the Derby Pie (chocolate, pecan and bourbon) as his favorite!

Came here after nice dinner nearby. Parking can be tricky, but the bf and I were able to fine parking within a close walking distance. Walked into this oh so little but cozy spot and it was very dimly lit with great music in the background. There are bar seats along the small bar and only about 6 small two topper tables in the whole place. All the bar seats were taken, so the bf and I self sat in a high stool two topper squeezed snugly behind the occupied bar seats.
After reading reviews on Unilocal,I was hoping to go for the banana cream pie, but unfortunately it was not listed. I opted instead for the desserted island pie, which is filled with marionberry, apple, blackberry, and strawberry topped with a streusel and served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. I’m not a huge fruit pie person but the bf is. It was actually really good. All the fruit was soft, blended together well, and was not tart (which is why I don’t really like fruit pies.). The streusel was SO good! It was buttery and sweet, I wish there was more on top! The bottom of the crust (was there any?) got mixed in with the fruits so I couldn’t really taste that part. We did not get any drinks (too full from dinner!).
Loved the chill music in there and the dim lighting. The male and female servers were really nice. The female server informed me that they turn over the pie selection every few months and have gotten a number of requests for the banana cream pie! The do have a walk thru pie purchase outside where from 5pm-​closing pie slices are cheaper… wish we had done that bc we didn’t get drinks. But it was wet outside, so probably better that we enjoyed our pie and ice cream inside! I’ll definitely return! Thanks!

I would definitely come back! Everything was really good. I would like to try their other pies.

Ce sont deux sœurs qui tiennent l’endroit, une barmaid responsable de nuit et une pâtissière, qui vit de jour, et vient tous les matins préparer les tartes fraîches.

Pour la pie, je recommande le «Banana Cream», une tarte avec des bananes (évidemment), une touché de cannelle, de la crème, et beaucoup de sucre!
