Pierced Hearts Tattoo Parlor

Went in for a walk in with my best friend to get simple b&w rose tattoos. BEN drew us a few roses that did not look like the photo we brought in whatsoever. Very hostile about us making changes, then continued to mock me for the placement I chose because it was «upside down». Which I was aware of because I wanted it to face me. He then brought another employee into the conversation strictly to mock us. Both my friend and I have been here for one tattoo and multiple piercings. His attitude and hostility made us feel very awkward and uncomfortable and we will most definitely not continue coming back.

Got my belly button and nose piercing by frank and I absolutely love them! Frank is extremely professional and is passionate about his job. I felt minimum pain for both of my piercings and love the overall result. I will definitely come back next time.

I went over the weekend to get two piercing in my ear. I was very scared as it was my first time but this place was awesome!!! The person who checked and Jeremy the piercer were so nice, helpful and professional. They gave me all the instructions and made me feel so comfortable. The place was also very clean, including the bathroom! Would definitely recommend!

I just got a Daith piercing on Saturday with Frank. I called in the morning and made an appointment. My 21 year old daughter drove me down. I have terrible migraines, and I had heard that it’s possible Daith piercings might help. I have good luck with acupressure in the same area, so I thought — let’s try it! They were so sweet to my 48 year old stay-​at-​home mom nerdy self! Helped me pick out cute jewelry, and the staff was sweet and polite as they could possibly be! Frank was an absolute doll! He went over absolutely everything, and was gentle and incredibly knowledgeable. I’ve been considering a tattoo forever, and I’m definitely going back sooner rather than later. I would also much rather have them pierce any child’s ears over those stores in the malls. Everything here is far more sterile and clean. Honestly, I can’t say enough good things about the lovely staff and the great experience I had at Pierced Hearts Tattoo Parlor.

I don’t know even what to say about this place. My three friends and I were going to get some piercings done. 2 were getting pierced, the rest of us were there for support. For 30 minutes, this white guy with a buzz cut and a serious stick up his ass would not let us chose the piercing jewelry combo we wanted because he disagreed with our style! He was so OCD and adamant about us choosing his favorite jewelry combinations. It was simply ridiculous! Then, even more appalling, was that he yelled at us and said that we were not allowed to go in the back with our friends to support them and hold their hands during their piercings. Some of which were QUITE painful!
Next time, we will be bringing our business elsewhere. We advise you do the same.

Two reviews here: first I got a peircing done by Chuck. She was incredibly professional, quick with minimal pain. She was obviously more skilled than my last peircer since the type of peircing should have been 12 g (my last piercer used the wrong jewellery and gave me 16g). Plus it healed in 3 weeks when my last experience never healed… Don’t go to anyone else!!! Chuck is great!!!
I also got a tattoo by Charlie. She was very helpful and was very open about the limitations of the tattoo, which helped me pick the right size and placement. Her hand was steady, her coloring amazing, and she did EXACTLY what I asked for!!! Also, she was able to get in such amazing detail (tiny white glares in the eyes). Check out the picture!

Called in this morning (1÷1÷16) to book a piercing appointment. I came in a few minutes late and the shop was pretty packed considering the date, but the woman at the counter was quick to help me choose my jewelry and fill out paperwork.
Chance brought me back into a piercing room to begin the process, and was very kind and informative throughout the appointment. I was incredibly nervous but he explained each step he took, cleaning and marking before I laid down to be pierced. The pain wasn’t as bad as I had anticipated.
I’ll definitely come back to Pierced Hearts for future piercings or tattoos. The location is nice and the shop itself was clean and organized. The artists are obviously very well versed in their practice and strive to make you feel comfortable in the shop. Thanks again, Chance.

My friend and I were walk-​ins who called about 30 minutes before hand for a tattoo and piercing and both services were superb.
For my piercing, it was professional, quick and Chance was super helpful in answering questions I had and providing info about recommending how to heal my piercing correctly or find a professional in Vienna, Austria in case I need one since I live abroad. Highly recommended!

I got my forward helix done here today and the staff here was amazing! I went with 2 friends and everyone who helped us was super friendly and helpful. Our Piercing professional was Charlotte and she was super cool and funny, she made the whole experience so light and funny. One of my friends had gotten a piercing there a few weeks earlier and forgot her discount card they gave her from the time before and they honored it with no questions asked. I would come back here in a heartbeat.

The guy at the front desk was friendly and helped ease my fears about the nose piercing I had been holding off getting for 3 years. My piercer (sorry, forgot his name) was excellent as well. So professional, gave me advice on the placement of the jewelry, and was quick.
Reasonable price, though my comparison is in a different city.
I have a lot of ear piercings and every single one has gotten infected. The nose piercing I got here was the first to NOT get infected. Could be coincidental, but I thought I’d mention it.
I think I’m done with piercings, so I won’t be back, but I would recommend this place to anyone.

Got a piercing here from Frank. Must admit, I was super nervous at first but really wanted to go for it. Frank was great, very professional and seemed to know exactly what he was doing. Calmed my nerves and I felt very comfortable with him doing the piercing, everything was very sterile, he kept the area clean and used all new sterile everything, even washed his hands multiple times, every few minutes. And best of all, he made it quick and painless! Definitely will be going back here for anything else in the future! Highly recommend this place!

Got my philtrum pierced here fourth of July weekend of this year. Jeremy was my piercer and did a wonderful job! I originally wanted a double philtrum, but he took a look at my mouth and he discouraged it because of its risks. He was also very informative and personable.
The overall piercing wasn’t too bad, I was in good hands. My lips swelled but it wasn’t as bad as I anticipated. He pierced me with a longer bar to accommodate the swelling and even offered to change it free of charge once the swelling goes down (I’m from out of town so I never came in for the downsize — but the fact he provided that service was cool)
I believe the total cost of my piercing was $ 60, including the jewelry. The prices vary since there is such an array of jewelry to choose from once you get the initial piercing.

Finally writing a review after 2 months!
I had a nose piercing done by Chuck, and I could not have had a better experience! This was my first professional piercing, so I went in quite nervous. Chuck walked me through the piercing process, and the environment was incredibly clean and sterile. He made me feel comfortable, being chatty while also extremely professional. My piercing was quick, hurt only for a few seconds, and over way faster than i expected. The results were amazing! Chuck placed the stud in the perfect place and was sure that I understood the aftercare procedure. I also love that they provide a bottle of saline to make cleaning your new piercing easy and convenient. Now, my piercing is healing beautifully and I am so glad I chose Pierced Hearts! I would (and have!) recommend Pierced Hearts to anyone getting a piercing, first or otherwise.

After reading the reviews on here, I did a little more research and discovered this shop has multiple award winning artists from the tattoo expo. That impressed me, but I needed someone with the style I was looking for. Once I opened Charlie’s portfolio link, I knew she was the one. From initial appt to final tattoo, she was awesome. I had my consultation on Weds and she had me in on Friday. It took a little longer than we had planned, but hey, art takes time. I’d rather have an awesome piece of art that takes a little longer than a crappy one done quickly.
She did exactly what I was looking for, a tape measure tied in a bow around my thigh. Her line work is spot on, and her shading is fantastic. She was fast, but precise, and hilarious when I wasn’t cringing from the shading and could actually talk to her (hey, first tattoo, it hurts!). Not only is she an awesome artist, she’s incredibly kind. It also turns out that adrenaline makes me incredibly light headed, so when I was on the verge of passing a few minutes after we finished, she grabbed me some chocolate while I laid back down. My husband has gotten many tattoos, and he said he’s never seen an artist do that. So double thumbs up. :)
The only drawback for this shop is that the parking is nuts. It IS the U District, so I don’t expect anything different, but it is something to be aware of. It’s all on street, so make sure you give yourself some extra time to find a place. A lot of it is 2 hour, too, so be ready to move your car, get a ticket, or have someone with you who can move your vehicle if you’re going to be there for a long session.

I honestly love all of the piercing staffs I have met here! They’re all super friendly and professional. Jeremy pierced my septum earlier and he talked me through everything. I mean I have a lot of piercings but it’s always nice to meet piercers that love their job and don’t have a problem answer all your questions without making you feel stupid. My first barbell wasn’t screwing a bead on and he made sure to change it and he help show me how to flip up my piercing since I work at a law firm and my boss would freak out. Always a great experience when I come here! I probably have enough piercings but if I ever decide to get more, I’ll definitely be coming back here.

I forgot to mention that he said he would put it slightly deeper than usual. (1) because he said that if it was deeper, as it heals — the piercing would move closer to the surface as the skin regenerates — it would be less likely to reject. (2) however it is more risky because the deeper the piercing the higher the possibility of damaging something besides your skin.
He also did not use clamps/​forceps and I read on forums that experienced preorders do not use them on nape piercings. Yay.
Day after slightly tender. Very hard to do 10 minute sea salt soaks because of the position.

Well I have always had the best experience with the lovely chuck I been following this girl since way back in the day at the pink zone and then to lucky devil and now here to this day every single piercing I have received from her has never closed all are straight and I was never hurt or in pain «everyone is different tho» she is one of my favorite piercers ever after I had a few bad experiences also known as my passage right of 18 ext. Lol when I met chuck I stayed put sincerely yours the girls from the old lusty lady we love chuck we love chuck *tip follow the directions for after care and you won’t have issues buy the good soap they have there you will thank yourself get an education in body modifications before you even do it trust me they know if you are stupid ()/​

As a last minute Bday gift to myself I decided to get a tattoo! Unfortunately every place I happened by was unavailable for walk ins… several different shops! I called ahead actually to some and still, I was treated rudely and told that no one does walk ins :/​My bday spontaneity was being bummed out.
UNTIL PIERCED HEART TATTOO! They were polite and very helpful on the phone (I should have started with Unilocaling somewhere first!) and advised me when would be the best time to walk in since I didn’t already have an appointment. The staff make you feel welcome and didn’t seem to care that I look like a soccer mom, they took my ideas for tattoos and gave me great recommendations on what I could get on my wrist that would turn out great:)
I would recommend Pierced heart tattoo to anyone who is worried about placement, size, color and they were very honest and upfront about the cost! 5 days after my tattoo was done it was all healed and my line work looks great:)

I got my nipples pierced here a few days ago by Frank, and it was a fabulous experience. I read all the piercing reviews that mention Chuck by name so I was kind hoping for her, but I hope that no longer. Frank was awesome. Incredibly professional, patient with my hundreds of questions/​nervous jitters and giggles, and most importantly he’s a really good piercer.
Can’t beat the prices, the staff was friendly and nice, and Frank was the best. You should come here. I’ll be back.
As a side note, I actually couldn’t stop laughing as he was lining up my piercings because never in the history of my boobs has anyone looked at them so studious and businesslike manner. A friend snapped a picture, and I’m including it. Don’t worry, no nudity.

We took our seven year old here to get an ear piercing and feel fortunate to have Charlotte (Chuck) complete it. She was very gentle and patiently described the process to our seven year old making her feel comfortable. The room was very clean where she had her ears pierced and it was done quicker than she thought with no tears (mind you this is the child that sometimes cries with blood draws).
I was so impressed with how even she managed to make the piercings and would highly recommend this to any parent who wants to get their daughter’s ear pierced since much better than Claire’s!
