Ventured to the Seattle Night Market last night, and the first thing I had was a small cup of Pink’s coconut ice cream. OMG! It was amazing, so full of flavor and although dairy free, it was still so so so good! After my first bite, I wished that I had ordered the large so I savored every bite and lick of the spoon. They had various toppings and I chose the fresh jackfruit. Couldn’t go wrong. They were very friendly, and explained the different flavors and toppings, although the line was crazy long, they didn’t rush me. All flavors were unique to the Asian palate, I was even tempted to try to Durian. They didnt have the Thai Tea flavor available at this event but i will definitely be looking for their products in the frozen food aisle at the stores. It is that freaking good!

Pink, is a girl that came from Thailand. A place I keep Dreaming of night after night, where I am Soaking in Vitamin D from the Scorching Heat, Riding an Elephant with Large Ivory Tusks and Big Flappy Deep Fried Elephant Ears, Sippin on a Thai Ice Tea Straight outta Copper Moscow Mule Cup (It’s the Best Way to enjoy Thai Ice Tea it stays so cold «CHOW SO COLD”-from The Hangover PT.2, and and eatin the Most Delicious Asian Ice C.R.E.A.M EVER!!! That is my Ultimate Dream and Pink Has brought me One Step Closer To My Dreams by Delivering One Of the Best Asian Inspired Asian Ice C.R.E.A.Ms into my Life!!!
Pink uses her Abacus to the fullest when she is coming up to Creative Authentic Asian flavors, incorporating real fruit and ingredients, and making every Lick or Scoop that enters your Mouth Repeat x1,000,000 Addicting!!! Her Flavors include: Black Sesame, Coconut, Red Bean, Mango, and Spicy Ginger.
Here is a Breakdown of my Favorites C.R.E.A.Ms:
Durian-​My Homie «Anthony Bourdain» and I both agree Durain is the the King Of Fruits and this stuff is Amazing! The Ice Cream is the same Pungent Donkey Kong Punching Flavor, Crème Bruele Like, Creamy Like TiraMissU, has that HeaVenLy Odor, And has real chunks of Durian in it that it’s as good as eating an auctual Durian!!! BOMB​.COM
Green Tea– Anything the same Color of Dolla Bill$$$ is Good! Throw some Matcha Green Tea in there and its ADDICTING! Name one thing Green Tea that isn’t good it’s all good YO! IF it was a hot day and The Incredible HULK need Ice Cream he would be all about DIS GREEN C.R.E.A.M !!!
Taro– Asians love Taro and this is no exception when it comes to Ice Cream! Flavor wise it is very NaToRall Taro Rooty Flavor, Velvety, and a really Healthy Treat!
Thai Tea– Put ONE OF MY FAV DRINKS as an Ice Cream flavor = Love at First Sight, Bite and Lick! Game Changin Flavor Packin!

After this disaster, the owner was kind enough to take care of the issue immediately in the most efficient way. They didn’t just take the usual compensation step by simply replacing the items or mailing a gift card, but actually took time to look into the issue with Uwajimaya. If anything, Uwajimaya should have been able to take back the return I tried to make originally.
In other words, I’ll definitely be back for more heaven in ice cream tubs…

I’m attending an event in the International District tonight and Pink’s will be there. I thought it would be a good time to weigh in on my experience.
Okay, so I’m lactose intolerant. Big deal. I eat ice cream from time to time and Pink’s is on my list. My favorite flavors are black sesame, thai tea, and coconut. I have to say that I’m not a big fan of durian, but it’s not the ice cream — it’s durian that I have a problem with.
Everyone working there is always super friendly and of course, more than willing to give you a sample of everything to make your choice easier.
They also sell pints at a few select places in Seattle. So if you can’t get enough, you can always take it to go.

since my frind introduce me their Durian ice cream, I fall in love with it. so amazing~~~awesome! it seems you were eating the fresh Durian. Everytime I will stock several tans in my fridge cause sometimes it will out of stock of Durian flavor.

Tried this truck while at Seattle Street Festival in Capitol Hill last week. We went and shared $ 5 double scoop sesame and thai tea ice cream (flavors available were durian, Coconut –dairy free) and the taste was delicious! I’m from Thailand so I particularly appreciate the fact that this local business is own by a Thai person and focuses on bringing different Thai/​SE Asian ice cream flavors to its customer! :)
The ice cream was great… looks like a fresh batch. The lady was a bit slow to serve because she wanted to ensure she scoops a large enough serving for us… but their ice cream is worth waiting for an Authentic Thai taste.

I was so excited to see Pink’s Ice Cream in the Freemont Sunday Market. What a perfect treat to a bike ride. There were 4 flavours– Thai Tea, Mango, Coconut, and Black Sesame. Brady was stuffing so much ice cream in the cone that the cone broke. I told him that was fine, perhaps put it in a cup as I hate to waste especially sweet treats like ice cream! He managed to salvage a scope, and to my horror, threw out the rest. Anyway, he was kind enough to start over again, and joked that he was testing the limitations of the cone. The coconut tasted like what I would find at Molly Moon’s. It had fresh coconut milk. The mango was a disappointment. It did not have have much flavour.
I was curious about the durian ice cream, and stopped by Uwajimaya in ID, but they were sold out. Can’t wait to try it. It’s hard to find good durian ice cream. I will definitely be on the lookout for their store opening in ID!

Best ice cream i’ve ever had! The flavors are natural, accurate and not overly sweet and artificial. Makes me nostalgic of after school days in Vietnam eating ice cream made from real fruits! So proud that it’s from Seattle. And the young owners (Pink and Brady) are super chill.

I was so excited to have found Pink’s Ice Cream at the International District street fair. It was the unique Asian flavors that captured my attention. Durian ice cream!!! I couldn’t pass on the opportunity. (Thailand nostalgia!) I don’t know of any other Seattle Ice cream business that offers Durian. It was so good that I returned to eat 2 more scoops and also take 6 scoops to go. In my hand I held three cups of ice cream while my husband drove back to Renton. Each cup had 2 scoops of melting Durian ice cream. Can you imagine how that smelled? Mmmm… Mmmm… Good! I wanted to share my magical experience with my mother and brother, AKA durian fanatics. This could have been a once in a life time opportunity in Seattle. The good new is that Pinks is local business and is now available at grocery stores. I’ve also tried the green tea, Thai ice tea, and the black sesame. They were also really good.
Pinks Ice cream is quality ice cream. I appreciate that it is not intensely sweet and overpowering. It’s the right amount of sweetness such that the flavors are really highlighted. I believe I can eat gallons and not feel sick. I’m proud to support a quality local business.

My one time visiting this place was during the ID’s food walk event for the Chinese New Year celebration. There was a long line which was to be expected and they handled the crowd efficiently. I asked about a couple different flavors before deciding on the black sesame which was very much like peanut butter just like the girl said it would be. Nothing fancy about this place, but nothing to complain about either. I will definitely stop in again during a not so busy day.

In Seattle we are truly blessed with REALLY good ice cream, which is kind of strange as outside of the few summer months, it is not really hot enough to truly enjoy ice cream. However, I am one of those people that can eat ice cream even when it’s snowing, maybe a gift or perhaps a curse to remain fat forever.
With so many vendors and artisans crafting incredibly creative flavors, you would think the market is too saturated to accommodate more. WRONG, there is always room for more ice cream!
Pink’s ice cream specializes in Asian flavors and palates, it is the Asian counter part of Molly Moon’s. Flavors include green tea, black sesame, thai tea, red bean, taro etc. They also offer more typical flavors such as coconut, coffee, chocolate mint along with others which suggests you might find at places like Molly Moon’s such as: cake butter, rum raisin and pumpkin pie.
The sweetness and creaminess is more akin to Molly Moon’s than Full Tilt or Snoqualmie, which I think is the perfect dose because it is not too sweet or heavy. That in turn really brings out and focuses on the flavor of the ingredients. I haven’t tried them all but the must try is definitely durian. If you are a durian fan, it doesn’t get better than this, in Seattle we have a lack of exotic fresh fruits, and this not only fills this gap but raises the fruit to a whole new level, you can taste and see all the actual durian chunks in the ice cream. There is simply no reason to eat durian if there is good durian ice cream instead.
Where to get it? A select list of Asian restaurants (mostly Thai), Uwajimya, and check their site for farmer markets/​festivals where they will have a booth available, for more unique flavors like durian you will need to go to the Asian festivals/​markets in Chinatown or call them up to special order (totally worth it).
They are in the process of trying to open up a store front in Chinatown but I haven’t heard anything for a while about it.
