Founded in 1970 by Mr. Kim Proctor; Kim’s daughter Katherine Proctor serves as President of Sales and Marketing. With over four decades in the security and fire safety systems business, PSI has earned a highly regarded reputation. The Proctors, along with their team of technicians and support personnel, care deeply about life safety and take great pride in knowing that their services provide families and businesses with peace of mind. We recently had PSI install an access control system in our data center. They were a pleasure to work with! They bid competitively, they were very responsive to change requests or additions to the project, and they do excellent work. The president of the company was very accommodating to our budget and schedule, worked closely with us throughout the project, and has followed up a couple of times to ensure it met our expectations. I would not hesitate using them for future projects, or recommending them to others. They delivered a great product, great service, on time and on budget!

Protective Systems Inc recently installed a security system for a large apartment complex for us and we were quite impressed. The camera wiring was completed quickly and detailed, so the wires were discrete and not exposed. The camera technology consisted of high quality indoor/​outdoor cameras, that all connect to home base DVR where I was able to view all of them on a monitor. The best part of the process was Kim the owner and his team were very personal and professional. Kim was always available for me to call if I had any question or issues and he would send out a technician whenever I needed. I highly recommend Protective Services they definitely exceeded my expectations.

First, I had Protective Systems for over 2 years — the service was fine. But, what was incredibly annoying was the fact that the only time they ever communicated with me was for wanting additional money. The straw that broke this camel’s back was when they invoiced me a City of Seattle license fee ($ 10 — which I have no problem with) and tacked on $ 15 to cover the expenses of emailing me a PDF (not even the courtesy of having spent the pennies to mail it to me. When I called to complain, I just was brushed off and given a ridiculous answer. Having finally had it with the nickel and diming, I decided to research my other options. I found that ATT provided me more equipment for much less money both in purchasing extra equipment and in their monthly fees. I’ve not had an emergency with either service but have tripped the alarm on occasion — both services are equal (EXCEPT FOR THE BIG PRICE DIFFERENCE). Even when I called to cancel, I would have expected either a call-​back or conversation to keep me as a customer but nothing (not that it would have mattered).
Save your money and review other services available to you before you spend more than you need to with these folks.

Protective Systems Inc. set up a wireless home security system in the house that I’m leasing. It was much more affordable than the competition and they are great.
Since it’s wireless, I can even take it with me if I move. In addition to the home alarm, I opted for the monthly monitoring which contacts friends, neighbors & police in my absence.
Just last week, I received a call on my cell phone informing me that the back kitchen window alarm had been activated. The police were notified to meet me at my house & they made sure that everything was safe before I entered. Luckily, the alarm was activated when the burglar removed the window screen & jiggled the window. They fled when the alarm went off & no glass was even broken! How can you beat that?!
Unfortunately, the burglar then went to my neighbor’s house, kicked in the back door & stole his things. The ONLY THING that kept that from happening to me is the ALARM! I’ve been with PSI for over 3 years & I HIGHLY recommend them

We have used this local business as renters and homeowners and highly recommend them! First, the level of customer service is high. The president of the company even called to introduce himself and ask how things went after the initial install. The billing and installation folks have excellent customer service as well — they have helped us problem-​solve about a few logistical issues we had in our house.
And, most importantly — the equipment works. Unfortunately, in a previous location, we had several interactions with the monitoring service as we were victims to multiple burglaries. They were responsive and the equipment worked well to give us information about the intrusion as well as alert us about the situation. The prices are reasonable and I would highly recommend calling them over a big name competitor.

I would highly recommend Protective Systems, Inc. for your security needs! From my initial contact through the completion of install, it was such a positive experience and the level of customer service was top notch! There was some mis-​understandings about the timing for install but it all worked out perfectly! The ladies in the office were always quick with their responses and super helpful! You would never get that from some of their competitors like ADT — I can speak from experience!
The install technician was A — M — A — Z — I — N — G!!! I have worked with a lot of young kids (used to coach HS Volleyball) and talk about a young man with a great head on his shoulders and a solid work ethic! He made sure I always knew what he was doing, verified locations of install, and was even concerned about the aesthetics of the equipment. My undergrad is in Interior Design — so I LOVED when he said that he will ensure that the smoke detectors were aligned with the light fixtures. He also neatly tacked up the power supply cord to the panel in a nice, tight, straight line! Holy cow, what an amazing young gentleman he was! I was SUPER impressed with his professionalism, customer service, and go get em’ mentality! As if I wasn’t already impressed, before he left he made sure to provide me with his work cell AND his personal cell… what a super star!
I have no regrets with choosing Protective Systems, Inc!!!

The main reason I decided to go with Protective Systems was the fact that they had experience with the exact security system I wanted. I’m glad I did, because they are simply great! The owner personally called me several times to ensure I’m happy with all the work they have done. The installation went smooth, maybe not the quickest, but the system was perfectly working once they were done.
Moreover, they do NOT work with the popular nationwide alarm monitoring companies, which was something I preferred because of all the reviews/​complaints I’ve heard/​read about those companies.

A few years ago I was looking into getting a security system for our home. I called a lot of companies and had them all come out one by one to give me a quote. PSI was one of them.
When I first called to set up a quote, the person I had talked to on the phone gave me a lot of information. She started with giving me a history of the company (family owned, local) then described how they base the quote and what to expect when the technician will arrive. She asked me what my needs are and addressed each one without trying to sell me on something else.
When the technician, Joel, arrived he was friendly extremely knowledgeable and on time. Here is what differentiated him and PSI from the others:
–He did not fuss or make a big deal about my house not being pre-​wired for an alarm system.
–He introduced new technology and options to me that I was unaware of.
–He gave me suggestions and options that saved me money and still fit my needs.
–PSI had the most updated technology.
We have now used PSI for a number of years and I am very happy with the service. There have been a few times when I have called with questions or had needed a technician to come by. They have always given me thorough answers and walked me through my questions. On the few occasions I needed a technician they always come within 24 hours.

I had gotten 4 quotes which included the 2 majors ADT and Broadview (Brinks) and 2 from smaller local Seattle firms including PSI. The majors were a turn off because you have to sign a contract (min 2−3yrs), costs were high and their technicians were knowledgeable but did not take as much time to explain the equipment and process. PSI sent a technician that was very knowledgeable, listen to our needs and spent a lot of time explaining literally everything. He also provided lots of break in scenarios that helped us make our decisions and choices for what we would need. PSI has no contract requirements unless you want it and you get to keep the equipment right off the bat. Costs are comparable and/​or cheaper. It’s a family run business so the office is a little more laid back but they do return calls promptly. My system is still working great and the equipment seems top notch (Honeywell). PSI’s call centers are in other states and they have been pretty responsive thus far. You can obviously go with the 2 big players if you feel the need to work with them, but I took a chance on the smaller guy and was not disappointed. Ask for Joel to come and do your quote.
