History

Established in 1991.

Dr. Darrell Gibson became the chiropractor at Queen Anne Chiropractic Center in 1991, following a move with his family from Canada.

Working in a solo practice located near the 5 spot restaurant, the practiced moved a few blocks to its current location at 1905 Queen Anne Avenue North, as his son and daughter joined him in practice.

Currently Dr. Gibson, Dr. Sarah, and Dr. Graeme are present in the office 6 days each week, and have been helping people achieve optimal health by removing nervous system interference. Chiropractic is a way of life for the Gibson family, and they are proud to be Seattle chiropractors and be part of the Queen Anne community.

Dr. Graeme is proud to work side by side with his father and sister.

A family owned and operated business with heart! I trust the doctors at Queen Anne Chiropractic to make informed decisions for my health and spinal alignment. Dr. Darrel, Dr. Graeme and Dr. Sarah have seen me through car accidents, addressed and resolved causes of headaches and even corrected issues from the occasional slip, trip or fall. It is amazing how some seemingly small event can affect the spine. I am happy to support a local business I believe in and where I feel valued as a patient.

I have seen the Gibsons for regular chiropractic adjustments since 2011. They each are personable, encouraging and very professional. I have some injuries from an old car accident and now suffer from migraines, as well as severe neck, shoulder and back pain. Since I began receiving regular treatment to keep me in proper alignment I have experienced true relief. I used to use Tylenol, but chiropractic care was much more effective for pain relief as well as long-​term. Regular adjustments have also helped my quality of sleep.
I have been treated by each of the doctors and they are all excellent and very helpful. I can ask questions about my pain and they always have helpful tips and even some stretch pamphlets. Another plus is the minimal wait time if I need to drop in.
There are some excellent massage therapists at this office too! A massage followed by an adjustment is straight up heaven! I truly look forward to my adjustments at Queen Anne Chiropractic Center.

I all but gave up on chiropractic treatment until I met Dr. Gibson. Understanding my treatment is very important to me, so it means a lot that I felt heard and my questions were answered. More importantly, the results are great. I started treatment shortly after getting into a contact sport a little over a year ago and I have had fewer long-​term aggravations and ailments than before I started the contact sport. He has my strong vote of confidence.

I’m really bummed to leave this 1 star review but I’ve been putting it off for about four visits back to Queen Anne Chiropractic thinking I’d get a different outcome.
The good:
Everyone, including the doctors, is super friendly and they have open hours so you can just walk in– very convenient!
The bad:
I actually thought my last chiropractor in Puyallup didn’t do a great job but then I came here and was very unimpressed. I first had the older doctor with white hair and he did as little as possible and then did a back and neck adjustment and sent me on my way but not before suggesting I come in M-​W-​F for X weeks. I thought I’d give them another try and I got the other male doctor the last few times and he really just rushes, I mean wham bam, you in and out. He’d do the bare minimum as well and I have to ask for him to look at everything else, part by part, or he’d think we were done.
I’ve never felt taken care of there. Like another review states, take your co-​pay elsewhere.

As someone with a chronic and sometimes acute back and neck pain, I feel like I came to the right place when I started seeing the Gibson family back in 2009. They have been very good at helping me understand what’s going on with my spine, and Dr. Graeme in particular has gone out of his way to help me. All three have been great at calming me down about what’s happening, (I mean, when you can’t tie your shoes due to pain, you sorta want to freak out, right?), and I always walk out of their office feeling HUGELY better. Highly recommended

I am a regular customer at Queen Anne Chiropractic since recently hurting my back. My injury was fairly severe and I didn’t address it as quickly as I should (I’m guilty of trying to «push through the pain»), so there was, and still is, a lot of work to return everything in my spine and pelvis back to normal. All three doctors have adjusted me, and I am happy to see any of the three for an adjustment.
I see them around the neighborhood from time to time, and they’re genuinely nice people. That’s important to me when it comes to health care.
I’m usually in a bit of a time crunch, so it’s nice that they’re so quick to get people in for an adjustment. Many times I’m in and out in less than ten minutes.
The front desk staff is also very helpful and responsive. I’m greeted, checked in, and shown to an adjustment room in a friendly and efficient manner whenever I go there.
In summation: If you have low back pain, you should really give these guys a call.

This was the best chiropractic experience I’ve ever had. Doctor Darrell completely saved me. I had extreme lower back pain that strong prescription medication couldn’t even relieve. After my first visit I am able to sit and stand without pain for the first time in days! On top of excellent results, I felt very comfortable and taken care of the whole time I was there.

Saw Graeme Gibson for a jiujitsu injury to the arm. Saturday appointments are super convenient and I felt like Graeme Gibson had a great deal of experience with sports injuries and wanted to help. I got some immediate relief and some good advice I followed. Will use him again.

I saw two different doctors here throughout my third trimester when I was having EXTREME back pain. I was disappointed that I never got a thorough assessment and therefore never really understood what was going on with my back (it was more than just pregnancy because it started early on when my baby weighed ounces). I also never felt very much relief. Finally, after months of bi-​weekly appointments, I had a prenatal massage done at rhea healing essentials on 85th and my pain was GONE, I couldn’t believe it. I also REALLY didn’t appreciate the weekly phone calls asking me if I wanted to schedule an appointment and the monthly guilt letters :)

My wife went here while pregnant with twins because one of our twins was in breached position. We heard that Dr Sarah Gibson specializes in the Webster technique that helps babies turn head down.
She has been very fun to work with and has helped a lot to reduce pain. The baby actually turned head down. The clinic was very good. We did not feel the in & out adjustment-​assembly line that people talk about. But that may be the reason why they were so flexible and accommodating with our schedule.
Definitely a recommended place.

On the move? Adjustment on the go? Then you’ve come to the right place. They get the job done. But if you want a more in depth-​assessment and analysis and that whole bedside manner thing then you could do better.
They don’t really put you on a schedule, so you keep on coming until you’ve maxed out your visits on your health plan and eventually have to sign up for a payment plan. I’ll take my $ 20 co-​pay elsewhere thank you.

If you have complicated back problems like myself, I recommend you see a different chiropractor. Dr. Graeme and Dr. Darryl are both agreeable, polite doctors and I really wanted to like their treatment, but unfortunately their adjustments left my back and neck a complete mess. Each time, I was in more and more pain. My spine twists and curves a fair amount due to scoliosis and I think they were confused by it. I have found much better help with another doctor. However, the staff is very polite, scheduling is easy, and I think these doctors would be great for people looking for a quick adjustment.

I got to the Queen Anne Chiropractic Center through an emergency (acute back pain event). They were very understanding and got me an appointment in the next hour. They were very welcoming and understanding.
I must say that I was impressed by the front desk politeness and helpfulness. It is a hassle free experience. They very professional.
The chiropractors are also very professional and they are actually interested in your health. It is not about «cracking» your back, but on how to improve your general health.
They also explained to me that they could only estimate the length of the treatment and would be adjusting it according to my body’s response. It might seem a little «iffy», but to my surprise they actually reduced my visits much earlier than they told me.
I’m very pleased with the adjustments and the experience.

I agree with a fellow Unilocaler that this place is more of an «in-​and-​out» style of adjustment. So if you are looking for a quick appointment this place is for you.
Although I liked the fast appointments at first, I found that after my fourth appointment or so no matter what ailment I said was feeling at that time they would still do the exact same 3 adjustments as the prior appointments with no explanations or answers to my questions. That is when I began peaking in the open doors to the other rooms and saw that most of the other people were getting the same 3 adjustments as well.
The last straw for me was when I complained of my hip being «stuck» and yet he still did the 3 back adjustments and sent me on my way… my back felt great that week but my hip was still stuck and tight.

I have chronic back pain due to injuries and bad disks. In early 2010 a friend recommended Queen Anne Chiropractic. I had been hesitant about going to a chiropractor — but after exhausting all other efforts I decided to give it a try. I noticed an improvement after just a few treatments! The adjustments I receive help me stay ahead of the pain.
They have great hours that accommodate the working… they take walk in’s. hardly ever have a long wait and are family friendly. In addition to these conveniences — at Queen Anne Chiropractic they really care about you as an individual and work with you on payment options. I have been so grateful that they care more about my health than making a buck.
There are three Dr.‘s to choose from. Darrell Gibson (my regular Dr), Sarah Gibson and Graham Gibson. All three have treated me over the years and found each of them to be great. I also love the reception staff.
I recommend them highly!
