Reflexology is a specialized practice using the theory that working on the feet allows the whole body to feel and work better. It feels wonderful, allowing for release of tension held in the nerve endings of the feet (there are 7000 of them). In a setting similar to massage, you start out by having a relaxing aromatherapy foot bath or warm towel wrap. Then I will use massage like techniques to open up and relax lower legs and ankles. This is followed by a series of special hand thumb and finger techniques using compression, pinpoint and thumb roll applied to the feet to send signals from the nerves to all parts of the body, helping it normalize. Reflexology helps to relieve stress and improve all body functions. It is used in conjunction with western medicine as well. I have been certified since 2006 by the International Institute of Reflexology (Ingham Method) and feel that good certification is crucial.
History
Established in 2006.
I practiced reflexology in Philadelphia and earned my certification there through the International Institute of Reflexology. I’d done research for a good school and this one looked most comprehensive. In addition, I was fortunate to receive special one on one mentorship with reflexologist Judy Dobbs for over a year thus extra practice under a wonderful reflexologist who’d been practicing for 25 years.
In 2006, I moved to Seattle to find a more serene lifestyle and spend time with my two grown daughters. I find Seattle a good place for me. The reflexology is rewarding and centering work for me I hope I have helped lots of people feel better and will continue to do so. I know that to me, reflexology feels wonderful and is helpful.

Business Owner
I earned my reflexology certification in Philadelphia Pennsylvania in 2006. I was treated to a reflexology session by reflexologist of 25 years Judy Dobbs, and was so impressed that I immediately looked into getting certification to become a reflexologist myself. I found the International Institute of Reflexology most comprehensive and began work with them. After a year of one on one mentor-ship with Judy, and hundreds of hours of documentation, an extensive practical and written exam, I received certification as and IIR Reflexologist.
I then moved to Seattle and got even more education through The Seattle Reflexology and Massage Center, and continuing ed workshops.
I enjoy working in the Seward Park area, close to nature and quiet. I find reflexology a rewarding and centering profession. Hope I have helped lots of people (with a gentle yet firm approach) and will continue to do so.
