You’ll find women’s and men’s clothing, accessories such as purses, belts, scarves and jewelry, plus men’s and women’s shoes, glassware, home décor, books, frames, art, small kitchen items, CDs, greeting cards and more.
Hours are Tuesday through Saturday from noon to 6pm, and on Sunday, noon to 4pm. The store is closed on Mondays.
To donate quality items, drop them off at Ryther’s main campus, at 2400 NE 95th Street in Seattle from 8am to 7pm, Monday through Thursday and 8am to 5pm on Friday or bring your items to the store. If you are interested in volunteering in the store or learning about the League, please email: R4Rthrift@gmail.com.
All net proceeds benefit Ryther, a local Seattle nonprofit serving children and teens referred by parents, physicians, state agencies, courts, schools and other providers working with children. Services include programs and solutions for families with children who have challenges stemming from trauma, mental illness, substance abuse, Autism Spectrum Disorders, or adjustment issues with school, peers or parents.
History
Established in 1971.
The Restyle for Ryther thrift store reopened its doors in Sept 2013 after an extensive makeover, thanks to volunteers and in-kind donors. Before its new look, the store was called the «R-Shoppe» and had been open since 1977. The very first R-Shoppe location was on Market Street in Ballard from 1971 until its move in ’77.
Since 1937, the Ryther League has supported Ryther through fundraising, volunteer work and financial donations. The League is comprised of individual units and members-at-large throughout the Puget Sound area. Each unit chooses its own way to give. ReStyle for Ryther is the only all-League effort and volunteers as well as new League members are always welcome.
