Personal Bicycle Service: Let us pick up your bike and give it the personal attention that it deserves. In fact, we pick up and deliver your bike for no extra charge, to most of Seattle. Valet service for your bike.

Pick-​Up and Delivery only. (House calls available, Limited time-​frame)

We repair all types of bicycles in a timely fashion. From Tune-​Ups to Tire Changes, we do it all. Trask Fredrickson, owner and mechanic, has over fifteen years shop experience, including being the service manager at a couple of local shops. We like all sorts of bikes, so do not be afraid to contact us.

History

Established in 2006.

This business started as a traditional brick and mortar small bike shop. Unfortunately, the economic hardships that started in 2008 forced a different direction and focus. Starting in 2011, Revolution became a service only affair.

Hello. I have been a bicycle professional since 1995. Wow, 20 years! In that time frame I have been the Service Manager of 3 shops (including Gregg’s Bellevue Cycles) and owned my own Brick and Mortar shop. Additionally, I have represented the Northwest for multiple bicycle brands, selling bikes and accessories to shops.

My passion is the wrench. I love all types of bikes. Heck, I love human powered wheeled contraptions. My experience includes building wheels for the US National Wheelchair Rugby Team and being the personal mechanic for multiple professional BMX riders.

In the end, I am down to earth. I service bikes and other wheeled devices from all walks of life. I do not discriminate and invite you to contact me. let’s check your wheels out.

Quality work, fair price, suuuuper easy. Trask comes to your house to get your bike after work, fixes it, brings it back. It doesn’t get any better than that! The tune-​up he gave my bike made a huge difference– it was definitely the most thorough tune-​up I’ve ever had. The thing rides like butter now. I will use him again for sure.

Trask is awesome! I’d been looking for a mobile bike service on the Eastside, but couldn’t find one. I noticed the reviews for Trask Fredrickson (Revolution Bikes) and decided to call. He drove all the way to Redmond/​Bellevue from N. Seattle to pick up my bike on a weeknight and returned it three days later, fixed up and ready to ride! In total, he charged $ 75. It shifts much better now, and he replace the plastic cover over the chain, which had cracked.
GREAT service, and I would not hesitate to utilize their services again.

This rating is for bicycles, though they do snowboards also.
Three stars is a Unilocal rating of «A-​OK», and this place is not quite that. It’s close, but not quite. It’s more of a «Meh. I’ve experienced better», but two stars seems too low, so I give them a benefit-​of-​the-​doubt three stars.
They currently charge $ 15 per quarter hour, which is reasonable. There is usually only one staff person available and service is first-​come-​first-​served. You can look at the 20 or so bikes on display or play foosball while you wait. There’s a number of shops south of there you can walk to if the wait is long (it usually is not).
The staff are helpful and nice and friendly, once you get their attention (usually they’re servicing a bike or talking on the phone). There is not much «hey, I’ll be with you in a moment» recognition, and the phone is more important than customers in the store. There certainly is no «do you need some chain oil or tire levers» add-​on sales push. They seem to expect you to know why you’re there and what you need.
There is no arrogance in the air, which is nice. This is not a race pro shop and there’s nothing fancy about it. There is no small talk or salesmanship either. Fixing bikes is their gig, and they happen to sell bikes and parts too.
If you know what you want, and it’s a typical part or service, they likely have it or can do it for a good price. If you don’t know what you want, you can ask and not feel put down. But you gotta ask or they’ll ignore you.

Had my bike tuned up here last week. Very courteous and friendly. Had a special for February and the price was very reasonable. Bike was finished right on time and that was important to me. Have not had much of a chance to ride, so I can’t comment on the work done, as yet.

I didn’t have much experience at this shop, but what little I had was not that great.
I went in to get a small product for a friend in NY who asked me as it was not sold at any shops near her. I called first and asked and they told me, «Yes, we carry those» but were not sure if they had the specific one I wanted.
I went ahead and made the trip… looked around the store and found after asking somebody that they didn’t have any in stock at the moment. It would have been nice if the person on phone had even checked that much before telling me he had them.
Then he gave me a card and asked me to email him so he could order the ones I wanted next time he placed orders. I took card and emailed him that same day or the next.
I never got a response, so I waited about a month and emailed him to ask if they had ever come in. Never got a response. Emailed again about 2 weeks later. Still never got a response.
Don’t think I’ll be back. I found them at the only other bike shop in the area that carried them.

Honest people… if you don’t know much about bikes they tell you what work needs (and does not need) to be done. When I took mine in for a tune up the owner asked some questions, then recommended the CHEAPEST tune-​up package. Have you ever heard of such a thing?
Prices are reasonable, and the wait time is great. Gregg’s is always backed up (esp. summer), revolutions has it done in like a minute… or a day, depending.
Super knowledgeable staff, and patient enough to take the time to educate, too!

You might find yourself careening uncontrollably down Denny over I-​5 on the maiden voyage of your hot little hipster fixie (all black with chrome rims and cranks), watching your Cha Cha-​enduced-​hangover-​filled life flash before your lightly shadowed eyes, debating whether (should you survive) you will strangle your bike mechanic with your chain or bludgeon them with your U-​Lock. You have a decision to make as you consider your baby blue Chuck Taylors which are flatteringly attached to your unflatteringly spread eagle legs, as you have long since given up stopping your pedals from their near supersonic rotation: do you aim for the stopped cars knowing certain concussion and bone crushing awaits or do you swerve into oncoming traffic risking death for an ambulatory future? Those naked handlebars, shining as brightly as your white knuckles in the Seattle summer sun, hold no answers, no breaks, and no shifters. Your flat pedals, if they have even managed to stay attached to your cranks at this RMP, no help in keeping your feet anchored. You close your eyes, and remember your friend’s last suggestion before you purchased this bike:
«Dude, you should totally check with Revolution Cycles before you buy this eff’er. They’ll set you up with something that’s hip and safe, instead of this death trap. At least let Trask, the owner, check out this bike before you do anything stupid.»
«Anything stupid,» you repeat under your breath as you run the red light at the bottom of the hill, fly through the intersection, and begin to loose speed.
«I’ll check them out right after I get out of jail for killing that other bike guy. He’s so fired.»
[No, really, I love this place. Revolution Cycles fixed up my custom-​built bike when I was too frustrated to do the work myself. Their prices were estimated well and reasonable. They worked with my strange home-​built bike and didn’t make me feel bad for not wanting to do some of the simple work myself. I’ll be going back exclusively… these guys are fantastic.]
