Ordered Pad Thai and figured I’d be pretty safe with this Thai staple. It tasted like they dumped a bottle of ketchup on it. So bad I could not eat it! When asked if everything was okay, I said no, it tasted like ketchup and was told«that’s how we do it.» Even worse– we were still charged for it. My husband had pumpkin curry and that was good. Mostly frustrated that they did not try to make it right or offer to comp it. Not great customer service and we won’t be back.

Overall very satisfying. I ordered the pineapple fried rice with chicken and my husband ordered the roasted duck curry. While both were delish I ended up eating most of the duck curry because the red curry sauce was amazing. I ordered the sticky rice and used it with the red curry and omg… try it! The dishes both had plenty of meat and great flavor. Service was amazing very friendly and prompt. The only reason I didn’t give I it 5 stars us because the décor is a little outdated and could use a good clean. Other than that I can’t complain.

I’m all for spice… but when you ask for 3 stars(for the consideration of the person you are eating with) it shouldn’t be a too-painful-to-eat-hot. The food was unenjoyable for both the person I was eating with and I. This is the second time I’ve ordered 3 stars at a Thai place and they’ve botched the spice-ness. Lesson learned. I’ll add in the spice myself.

I live a block away and I have been here a few times. Each time I have been here the service is not good and the food is even less impressive. Even for the convenience I wouldn’t go there again.

Pretty good Thai food. I eat here at least twice a month. Only reason I give it 3 stars is because sometimes their spice levels are out of wack. one day you’ll order a 2 star and it’s not spicy enough, the next time you’ll order a 2 star and you want to claw out your tongue it’s so spicy. I love their drunken noodles.

They actually spice your food how you expect them to. Catch them on a good day and you’ll get the best Thai in Belltown/QA. When it’s good, it’s really good. I’ve tried just about every Thai restaurant in the neighborhood and this one is my go-to for takeout. I’m always a little weirded out that there is never anybody dining in, but I forget about that once I get home and open up those white packages of deliciousness. The takeout is top notch. HUGE portions. Always super nice wait staff!

Service is slow, but the food is excellent. Green curry could be eaten by the gallon.

This is solid, good Thai food. It’s not some out-of-this world neighborhood joint, but it’s the best of a few different ones we’ve tried around Belltown, and they deliver good food. Pad Thai, Rard Nah, Drunken Noodles, and Hot and Spicy Noodles are all great. Their spring rolls were also quite tasty, which I find not usually the case with most restaurants out here.

My friend had a really good idea to order food to-go and bring it with us to the airport. Luckily this place had it ready within 10 minutes and we were able to get to the airport on time! I had the Pad See Ew and enjoyed it very much. My friend ordered some saucy dish which actually turned out be more soupy than not. Too bad for the liquids rule. She scarfed it down before the security checkpoint while I enjoyed mine on the plane.

I ordered food from here using the Eat24 app. First, let me say that I was happy that their beat their own estimated time of delivery. They showed up at my door in 30 minutes as opposed to 45 minutes to an hour. Onto the food… I ordered fried spring rolls, sweet and sour chicken wings, beef drunken noodles, and pork gyoza. Everything was just *meh*. The best thing would probably have to be the friend spring rolls. I would say they were perfectly crisp and just the right amount of juicy on the inside. The drunken noodles were alright. There wasn’t that much depth in the flavor. The slices of beef were very good quality. The chicken wings were a small and slimy. The gyoza wasn’t anything special either. I don’t think I’ll be ordering from here again, or checking it out in person.

Mmmmmm. Sticky rice and delievery? Sign me up. Lucky for me they deliver in Belltown. It took about an hour, not too bad at all. The food was delish! I had some find of soup with shrimp. Very flavorful and spicy — which I loved. As for the sticky rice — I would go back to this place for it alone. I have a small obsession with good sticky rice and this place does it right. Even it having been delivered. Definitely ordering from here again.

The Pa Nang beef was good, except it was too sweet. I asked for hot, and they jazzed it up with hot sauce, not more curry. My wife thought the Pad Thai was terrible and also too sweet. She’s never coming back. But the worst part was the waiter(who could be the owner, for all we know). This guy seemed to be very unhappy, so we didn’t exactly feel welcome in this restaurant. It’s no wonder that there were only two other tables during the dinner hour while we where there. He brought the bill without even asking if we wanted desert.(Ok, we’re leaving!) This place has a lot of potential. They should clean up their act, both in the kitchen and in the dining room.

Rice ‘n Spice is one of those place I wish I could have just«taken» when moving to LA. Their pumpkin curry is still to die for. The green avocado curry is excellent as well, but not as great as the pumpkin. Thai Iced Tea on this run v the 10000 calorie Thai Iced Coffee. I think this one lunch caused me to gain 4lbs!

Came in for lunch one day. It was relatively packed, and I was excited for lunch… only to be blown away. In a bad way. Their complimentary soup was literally served in a tea cup. It was probably equal parts broth to equal parts fish sauce. VERYSALTTTYYYYY The main dish I got was the Zion Chicken(I think that’s what it’s called?). Wow it was overly seasoned, and their pad thai tasted like boiled noodles and ketchup. The service was nice, hence the one star, but the food was not so good. I’m sorry! This place should be called Spice ‘n Spice for the lack of rice and the overly seasoned dishes.

I came here for a workday lunch with my girlfriend. I suggested this place because I like the Rice ‘n Spice in Bellevue and according to the website, I was led to believe they were a chain of sorts. If they are, this place is nothing like the Bellevue branch. This is def. more of a sit-down restaurant. They have good lunch specials for $ 8. I had the panang curry lunch special and my friend had a beef noodle soup. While a good deal, I thought the food was just ok. For 3 out of 4 stars, it wasn’t spicy at all. The soup had little flavor and the food lacked kick overall. Nonetheless, its a good deal. The table was also a little sticky and service a little slow considering it was 1pm. A-ok.

When I get a craving for thai, not only do I go to Rice ‘n Spice because it’s close to my office, but because their thai food is delicious. I love their golden fried tofu. Not only is it appropriately crispy, but the sauces served with the appetizer are very tasty. I’ve ordered the phad thai from here before, so this time I decided to try their pumpkin curry with phad thai. I love pumpkin, and I love curry… how could you go wrong? It was flavorful, perfectly cooked, just the right amount of spice. The noodles were tender, but not gummy and there were ample topping and sauce. The portions are large enough to share. The décor is relaxing and I found the restaurant ambiance to be nice and the tables nicely spaced out.

Fit To Be Thai’d We decided to try their Seattle location for a sit-down dinner last night before catching a movie at the SIFF Uptown. Now that we’ve eaten both here & at their Bellevue location, I can honestly say this is the best Thai food I’ve had so far in the Seattle area. This is what we ordered and how I would rate each dish on a scale of 1 – 10 with 10 being best: Drunken Noodles(SCORE: 9) — Hands down the best wide rice noodle I’ve ever had. Fantastic texture & perfect seasoning leave you wanting more even after licking the plate clean. Don’t even think of eating here without ordering this dish. Zion Chicken(SCORE: 8) — Basically breaded/fried chicken strips with Thai seasoning. Absolutely delicious, even though we requested the mildest level of spiciness & it still made me sweat a bit. I believe this is their signature dish(or should be). Pumpkin Curry(SCORE: 7) — A slightly sweet, smooth-flavored curry accompanies kabocha squash in this tasty dish, which provided excellent contrast & balance to the other two. My only negatives about this restaurant is that our table & floors seemed a bit sticky. Not sure if they just hadn’t wiped/mopped things down in a while, or if it’s always like that. Also, it’s in the city so expect to pay for parking UNLESS you go there after 8pm(which we did) in which case street parking is free.

Yellow Curry with Beef and a side of White Rice Spice Level = 2(out of 4) It was delicious! I probably should have ordered a 3, but it had enough spice to get my sinuses running without having much of a burn(always a good sign). The coconut milk they use in the curry gives it just the right touch of sweetness. This is a good, small, more intimate place that you could easily take a date to. Great food, very nice servers and overall a good experience.

I would easily give this place 4 stars at LEAST for the food, but sadly I cannot give it an overall 4 stars due to the décor/atmosphere. When we walked into this restaurant, it immediately smelled like a musty attic. It turned me off to the place right away. The décor was outdated and looked old — which may perhaps be why it smelled like an old person. As soon as I got over this, I was very pleased with the food. The service was mediocre… there were a few times when we were wondering where our server was, especially because it was practically empty, but it wasn’t too bad. Perhaps it seemed longer since I was SO hungry. We started with spring rolls — the fried kind with vegetables — and they were surprisingly awesome. Hot, as always, temperature-wise(how do they get their food so hot?) but really good. We both had the pad see iew(shocker) and it was really good! I was pleasantly surprised. I had a piece of chicken in the mix that was a little rubbery but I got over that, too. The food was really good here overall — I wish I lived nearby because it’d be the perfect takeout place.

I had been wanting to try this place for a while so i went in for a late Sunday lunch(about 1:15pm). The décor is pleasant with orange-peach sponge painted walls. Of particular note are the photographs: lots of early 20th century B&W pictures from Bangkok. However, I was seated in the lower dinning room and the aucustics in the room are terrible… When I first arrived, there were two other tables being occupied. The conversations from those tables was almost as though I was seated their… Even as 3 more tables became filled, it was as though I was sitting at each table. There is a smaller dinning area that might be a little more quite. But certainly, in the big dinning room don’t talk about the bedroom or anything else you don’t want people to hear. I was seated fairly promptly, but as it got busier the waiter had a harder time keeping up with tables. And he never scanned the room so when I was ready for my check, I was unable to get his attention for about 5 mins. One oddity is the water: They add lemon to it, but it gave the water a weird chlorine flavor. I asked for water without lemon and that was much better. For food, I went the Roti with curry/potato sauce for an appetizer and the Avocado Curry with chicken with 3 star spiciness on a 4 star scale. I had not had Roti before, so I am not sure what constitutes good Asian pan cakes. However, I found the sweet curry sauce to be nice though the Roti was«greasy». Still, I like the texture and the flavor but it wasn’t anything special. The Avocado curry had a nicely balanced flavor to it, but I was expecting it to be a little more spicy than it was. Again, it was good, but nothing stood out about it particularly since it was listed in the house specialty section of the menu. My rating over all is this isn’t a bad place but there was nothing in my experience that made it stand out like the closer Tim Tup Thai and even Puckett which are more convenient Thai restaurants for me to go to. The service was bad nor was it outstanding, the food wasn’t bad but again, it wasn’t not outstanding… and the ambiance wasn’t terrible but was distracting as noted above.
