Echoing the many other commenters — Sorine is one of the best waxers I’ve met and I have recommended her to every friend I have in the area (even bought a few gift cards — and now they won’t go to anyone else). Super easy scheduling (can’t beat being able to text her if you’re in need and have some unexpected free time), chatting with her is like catching up with an old friend, and the location is on point (anywhere with free parking makes this girl a happy camper). She knows what she’s doing and I’m always surprised how quickly I’m in and out for Brazilians, plus she knows how to coach you through the rough spots and that is a must. Her prices are beyond reasonable PLUS she offers a student discount. I won’t get waxed by anyone else in Seattle.

She is so friendly and efficient– and although I’ve been taming these brows for years, I was a newbie to bikini waxing. She was so helpful, walking me through what to expect and lots of great tips to make sure there were no rashes, bumps, etc.

Tanya is a wonderful person and a great hair stylist! She made my dried out ombré look luscious and rich! She’s easy to talk to and makes you feel like you’ve known her forever. I have to admit I only get a wax before I go on a tropical vacation, so only about once a year. Probably because of the infrequency, it’s not something I enjoy, BUT Sorine does a fantastic job. She also makes something awkward (again, see the first sentence!) as pleasant as it can be. The place is also clean and comfortable (air-​conditioning, even!), so whenever I need one, I’ll go here.

I personally did not like Sorine’s style, I felt rushed and the results were not so good and I ended up with bruises. However the place is immaculately clean and she is NOT a double dipper. So I give her points for that.

Sorine is amazing. Not only does she do a great job, but she makes you feel super comfortable and is very welcoming. You don’t feel you are just a client, but a friend to her. She is amazing and I recommend going to her, especially if you are new to the waxing thing.

When it comes time to take care of the nether regions, it’s important to know your options. I’ve done regular brazilian wax using wax and strips, sugaring and hard wax. The type of hard wax used here has some sort of soothing properties and the best part is it is over pretty quickly. Sorine is wonderful and made the whole experience very pleasant (well, as much as you can given the circumstance).

Purchased a Groupon for a $ 30 Brazilian and then was turned down for being a dude. This city is impossible for getting waxed if you’re a man, and I think that’s messed up.

I have now found my place for the best Brazilian in town! I have been to other salons in the area and in California (where I’m from) and have never had such a great experience. On a practical level, the wax has always done horrible things to my skin and it has always grown back right away. I don’t know what it is about Sorine’s «hard» wax method but it works wonders! Just twice to see her (in the recommended 4 – 5 week time between visits) and I swear I’ve hardly have any growth.
I just love my time with Sorine, she makes it so enjoyable. She loves to chat and just make you feel comfortable. I will definitely keep coming back every few weeks! See you soon, Sorine!

At what other spa would you want to hug someone who has just forcibly ripped all hair from your hoo-​ha? Only at S Spa, after a pleasant session of chatting and minimal pain. Sorine is, quite possibly, the Greatest Waxer of All Time.
The story of my relationship with Sorine goes back to when she was at a previous location and I purchased a Groupon for three Brazilian waxes. When I had burned through those, I had no choice but to come back – Sorine is just too wonderful, and even her full-​priced services are very reasonable! She is friendly and gregarious – so fun to talk to, to the point you forget you’re being waxed.
I would recommend S Spa to anyone who wants to have a great waxing experience at good prices and to support a local small business run by an awesome and dynamic woman.

I went back recently after Sorine reached out to me. twice! She was so sincere I couldn’t pass her up on the offer of a re-​do. And it was great this time around. A lot more/​better communication about the waxing I wanted done and what she was doing. I also like how she has you lie on your side and bend your leg for doing the backside, instead of, you know, getting on all fours… That’s just awkward.
I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Sorine to others. Rates are affordable, too! A $ 59 Brazilian is the cheapest I’ve seen anywhere!

So this is my first review but I felt like I owed it to Unilocalers to share my very positive experience. Like many of the other reviewers, I found S Spa through a Living Social deal and came in for my first Brazilian wax extremely nervous. I have an ethnic background so sometimes not everyone knows how to deal with different types of hair.
Not Sorine, she was so incredibly sweet and made me feel immediately at ease. She gently explained what she was doing and did it quickly while maintaining an easy conversation the whole time. While she’s waxing you feel like you’re visiting with a friend rather than getting hair ripped out. I’ve been to Sorine several times since and am really disappointed that I no longer live in the Seattle area. Sorine explained to use exfoliating gloves and face wash on the area to minimize any ingrowns or irritation and I did not have problems afterwards. Definitely recommend – I will be sure to see Sorine whenever I’m visiting Seattle again!

I got a brazilian wax deal on living social and must say it was the best purchase ever. It’s so hard to find a good esthetician who is nice and reasonably priced. She is so sweet, thorough, and professional. She used the living social deal program in the right way — to get her name out there and gain a regular customer base.
I’ll definitely be coming back, and spreading the word about her! She’s fab – highly recommend!

Many times the spas are not that great with the coupons, but Sorine is fabulous.
I travel often and do a Brazilian every month. So I have spent a lot of time with getting «waxed». Sorine gave me one of the best waxing appointments. I also LOVE the hard wax. She was talkative, friendly and great. She really does such a great job!!!

Sorine is fabulous.
Let’s be honest, waxing is not fun, but if you have to do it, go to Sorine. She is so kind and friendly that you don’t feel uncomfortable at all. She remembered me after only one time and always does such a good job!
Also, I love that unlike other spas, she does not try to push expensive products or services on me– she just does her job and does it well.

Sorine is THE best Esthetician… ever.
I have been brazilian waxed (a sometimes precarious procedure with the wrong person) by about 10 different people in Seattle. Sorene wins BEST esthetician… HANDS DOWN!
The salon is VERY well kept and clean.
She is fantastic at keeping your mind occupied while she is pulling off the wax.
She does not leave ingrown hairs. (I don’t know how, I think it’s the great quality wax she uses, but don’t quote me)
I have had an easy time getting in to see her within a day or two each time.
She is down-​to-​earth and unpretentious. I enjoy talking with her a lot ;)
The prices are competitive and possibly even inexpensive considering her skill.
Her work speaks for itself… GO SEE HER!

I’ve seen Sorine three or four times now. She is lovely, personable and easy to schedule with. She gets me in and out quickly, and when I’m done my brows look perfect. She remembered details about me on my second visit, which surprised me and made me smile!
Her salon space is cozy and nicely decorated, with a view out onto the tree-​lined street. Parking is on the street but usually not a problem. She uses Square for her credit card payments, so I can have my receipt emailed or sent via text message.

Well, folks, she did it again!
I am always so pleased with the service I receive here. Not only is Sorine a competent (and patient) waxer, her personality is so dazzling that I completely forget that I am showing my naughty bits to a stranger. She is disarming and understanding and never makes me feel weird, awkward, or embarrassed. I love coming to see Sorine and consider myself a loyal customer!

I used my Groupon here, and she was very accommodating with booking me. This review is a bit overdue.
She ended up only booking my brazilian and underarm in just 30 min, however it took almost and hour (and I was early), which was because I was pretty hairy. I felt bad for the person waiting after me. The worst part came after, when the next day my underarms were extremely sore, and my lady bits were completely covered with in growns (???). I am pretty good about exfoliating and everything, and had the spend the next few days Tend skin-​ing and tea tree-​ing before getting on a plane for holiday.
I’m sorry, Sorine is a sweetheart, but I will not be coming back.

I admit that I have a regular waxer but the siren’s call of a Groupon led me to Sorine and well, I… I think there’s no choice… I’m going to have a go at polywaxery.
See, it’s hard when I do love the gal I normally to go but then I meet someone awesome like Sorine. She was soooo friendly, super professional, quick as a wink and the space (first at the previous location and now at her new one) was welcoming and relaxing.
Her shop is on the other end of town for me, but now conveniently on the way to or from my daughter’s lessons, I can pop in and out without any trouble and be all the better for it this summer and beyond.
Hmmm… I hope that my other waxer doesn’t get jealous, she was my first and true waxer, but this one is so great too! For me, feeling comfortable is key, and Sorine will have you chatting away and not even realize you’re now hair-​free at the end of your convo.
Super convenient hours/​appointment options and soon hair services in her space?
I’d vote that if you live in the North end, you should run RUN to this place.
