I discovered Sara’s massage practice a few months ago. It was such a relief! I made an appointment for my husband and it was true love! He loves massage with Sara! She does great, deep tissue work. Anyone that is looking for neck, back or extremity work should book an appointment.

Sara is an excellent massage practitioner with a convenient location and an efficient scheduling and payment process. As a Pilates Instructor I believe that massage is an important component of assisting the body in healing, stress reduction and maintenance. It is hard to find practitioners like Sara who are experienced, focused and accessible. I recommend her work often to my clients and make sure I schedule once a month for myself. Do yourself a favor and schedule an appointment with her ASAP!

I have been seeing Sara Akerlund regularly since I gave birth to my second daughter about 4 months ago. I can hardly believe what a difference her care has made in the healing process my body has gone through since giving birth. I feel like my achey, sore, stiff body is finally near my pre-​pregnancy state and then some.
Massage treatments with Sara have also kept my body from succumbing to the effects of nursing/​carrying a robust newborn AND dealing with an active toddler too.
I have very little time for self-​care right now but my appointments with Sara are non-​negotiable. I highly recommend her to any new mom or mom-​to-​be!

I sit a hundred hours a day, whether it’s at the computer or in my car. Sara Akerlund has been working with me to undo my sedentary lifestyle, but I notice something after every session with her.
My neck has a wider range of motion. I can more comfortably merge into traffic, because I can actually crane my neck and see, rather than rely on my mirrors.
I’ve been to many LMPs, and Sara Akerlund has a truly therapeutic technique that transcends helping under-​utilized muscles destress. Seriously — after I left her Wallingford office, I made a quick stop in Green Lake, then went to I-​5 south from Ravenna Blvd — right lane entrance and cars moving to the right to get on 520. I winced as I got to the on-​ramp, turned my head to the right. .. and I could see all of the oncoming traffic.
That was nice. Six stars.

I see Sara regularly for deep tissue massage. She has been helping to expedite the healing process from a recent car accident, and keeping me on track in my very physical profession.
She is very strong and gets into my muscles with precision and skill and when I leave, I feel ready to take on the world again.
She is conveniently located in Wallingford Family Chiropractic, so I can see her and the chiroprator in a single visit… and the waiting room is kid friendly with wi-​fi. My daughter is comfortable waiting her turn, which is really important for this busy mom!
I did hear recently that Sara also has an office in Bellevue and she does house calls as well. No wonder she has so many happy clients.
