SEC abated ~1100 sqft of coated/​sealed asbestos popcorn ceilings from of my home. I found them to be knowledgable, professional, and efficient. There was one clerical hiccup during the process, but Thomas and Matt worked hard to make it right. I highly recommend SEC to anyone in the market for abatement services.

We live in a small townhouse development and this company was chosen to remove the mold in twelve attic spaces. We found Ryan and Jimmy to be very polite, hard working and meticulous about their work. Our home was left in pristine condition and we couldn’t tell that they had been here at all.

It is not easy to find a good company who will remove popcorn ceilings containing [a small % of] asbestos. SEC did a terrific job with their prep work, careful not to ruin new paint on the walls [near the ceilings], masking off the entire home, also protecting brand new carpet.
They finished their work, clean up and air quality test, in record time. Made sure «popcorn» was removed from the corners and edges of ceiling. Left the place clean. Would highly recommend.

I had a leaky roof which caused mold and water damage to my ceiling. Seattle environmental construction did the repairs and worked with the insurance company so that everything got fixed. There was good communication, and they did a great job with everything.

SEC is a company that others should strive to be like. Their honesty and transparency was a breath of fresh air.
I found SEC after weeks of searching for a company to rove some popcorn ceiling. They were the first company to call me back and could give me a price over the phone. They did a great job walking me through the process of what will happen, what they have to do on the legality side and what not and explained my options as a homeowner and explained the costs were mainly driven high because of politics and state law.
I would have given them 5 stars but the price tag is the only thing that drove the rating down to four stars, it was a little too steep for me and I had to explore other options. However their knowledge and wisdom gave me the confidence to do what I needed to do and they answered all my questions even after I told them I wouldn’t be hiring them.
I ended up going into the thief office and speaking with them for about a half hour just to pick their brain and ask questions. They had no problem with it and really gave me some great advice.
I wish I could have worked with them! But for my personal budget, it was just out of my range, not their fault at all.

We had a leak on pipe under the floor somewhere which built up for months, resulting in our hardwood floor breaking and bulging all over the place. Insurance came through and SEC was given the job to re-​floor our home.
And boy, they did an excellent job with it. They addressed my concerns after taking a look midway to the job and fixed that with no problem. Thomas, especially, is a wonderful and cheerful guy who’s very helpful. I first thought that he was just the project manager specifically to my house’ project, but I was so surprised to know that he’s the owner! We had some phone calls and he’s very reachable

We’ve got another project coming up with these guys (continuing the same project, halted because of personal reasons), and I expect a lot!

We lived with popcorn ceilings for several years before finally doing something about it. We got several quotes from various companies. Thomas from SEC provided a very reasonable quote and also informed us that they not only did the abatement but they also did the repair work and retexturing. It was a big job (over 5000 square feet) so they even provided a trailer for us to live in while we were out of the house as the project ran a little long. This really helped cut down on the overall costs.
Thomas was in contact with the two teams that ended up working on the project. Overall a very good experience and I would love to recommend them for abatement.

The previous owners at my house had the Internet cable line severed and pulled back into the attic for some reason, and I needed someone to make sure the insulation in the attic wasn’t dangerous asbestos. The guy came out, poked his head in the attic, and told me there wasn’t enough dangerous material, recommended an electrician who’d be willing to do the job, and didn’t even charge me anything because he didn’t have to take samples! I’ll definitely be working with these guys if I need some more serious work done. They take good care of customers.

We used SEC to get the non-​asbestos popcorn off our ceiling that was driving my wife crazy. These guys did an OUTSTANDING job. Juan was the lead of the 3 man crew, and his crew was courteous, showed up on time, and did fantastic work and kept the incredibly messy job to minimum of mess with elaborate plastic protection. They also got our ceiling very smooth and the paint work was fantastic. I couldn’t recommend them higher unless I didn’t have to pay :). Mike was the guy who did the estimate and follow up, also very nice and good/​quick with communication.
SEC did great work at a fair price and addressed a couple high maintenance concerns I had quickly and with skill. I would highly recommend them for popcorn removal. Thanks!

I hate asbestos! But this team of pros made me happy with my experience. The professionals at SEC were polite, courteous and very candid about my problem. They went above and beyond what I expected in regards to set up, cleaning and follow up. I would not wish asbestos on anyone, however I would not hesitate to recommend these guys again.

We ended up contracting SEC for a second job: furnace removal and asbestos abatement of said furnace. Initially, I had a lower quote from one of the other companies I scanned in the process. However, based on the previous experience I was happy working with the SEC crew so I sent them an email. The owners said they are very competitive and will match quotes if possible. They matched the other quote and did a great job. Because of an incident (truck problems meant a slight delay in completion time) they even took down the final bill.
I have to also mention that they had to carry out of a house a ginormous furnace and the guys fought with it for a couple of hours to make it work. Impeccable work!
