History

Established in 2003.

Seattle Massage Oasis was started by Erica Keich, a classmate of Patti Abbott’s at The Brian Utting School of Massage, which was known for producing outstanding deep tissue practitioners. Patti and Erica both graduated in December of 2002. In May of 2011 Erica left the practice to become a full time mom, and Patti took the reins of the business. Since 2011 Patti has very much enjoyed growing the business.

Patti graduated from the Brian Utting School of Massage 2002 and has worked in private practice as well as in gyms and athletic clubs since 2003. Patti enjoys using her skills as a treatment therapist with a range of clients and needs. She specializes in injury assessment and treatment, Deep Tissue, Lomi style Swedish, Trigger Point therapy/Neuromuscular Technique, Muscle Energy Technique, sports massage, and passive stretching, and likes to incorporate some reiki (energy work) into her work.

In addition to massage, Patti’s first love in the wellness industry was yoga. She has been teaching yoga since 2001, received the major part of her yoga teacher training in Scottsdale Arizona, and has been a Registered Yoga Teacher with the National Yoga Alliance since 2004. Patti was also a fitness instructor for several years. She combines her training and experience in massage, anatomy and physiology, and movement for powerful sessions in both massage and yoga.
