Some of the best bibimbap I’ve ever had! The spicy beef soup(can’t remember the name) is also incredible! Will definitely be back!

Pretty great place for quick food court Korean food with a very enthusiastic guy at the cashier! I’ve had the combo plates with bulgogi, tofu stew and the bibimbap and everything was great. Tofu stew comes with 2 sides and the bibimbap comes a soup. The tofu stew is a little thicker than what I’m use to but I liked it. The bibimbap was awesome with crispy rice. Definitely recommend this place for quick Korean food!

Kimchi fried rice is amazing! I’m part Korean so I usually have it with my grandma but I was really craving for some so I thought I’d try this place since it’s close by and a reasonable price. Only around $ 7 – 8 dollars for kimchi fried rice, it’s a TON, not super spicy so perfect for wimps like me. It comes with a sunny side up egg and a side of kimchi and miso soup, yummy! The man who served me was very funny, apologizing for the wait but it was only a 8 – 10 minute wait with a line in front of me so it wasn’t that bad. He also joked with me and told me a bad word in Korean was«I love you». I love funny servers! 5 stars!
Great customer service. The guy that took my order(looks like the owner) was great. The food was ok, I got the barbeque Korean beef with rice and salad. The beef was a little rubbery and taste was just ok. My husband ordered something else and he liked it.

I came in here to grab a quick bite to eat since there wasn’t the scrambled eggs, rice, and Portuguese sausage combo I like to take straight from Uwajis. Sooooo I thought Korean food would be great but didn’t want to wait forever so I came to Shilla Korean BBQ. I ordered their BBQ Beef sandwich to go. I ate it and it definitely hit the spot but wasn’t the best bulgolgi sandwich I’ve had. I know I could make better if I had the time but it was what it was. I give this place three stars. It’s a good way to eat something quick that was near work so I’ll have to give them two stars considering there are so many better quality Korean joints nearby. But this was the best option I could think of for a quite to-go lunch.

Honestly this place is more of a 4 stars but the guy working here was so darn enthusiastic, funny and welcoming that I can’t have been disappointed at all by my experience. He remembered my name from taking my order and for after when I put back my tray, he remembered and asked about the dish and with how many customers he had, I was very impressed. It honestly really goes to show how far service can affect experiences. The food is only one factor. In any case, the food was incredible anyways and you get a very large portion, I had a super hard time finishing it. I got the bulgogi and galbi plate and my friend got the stone hot pot bibimbap and both were awesome. It was incredibly busy but food still arrived in a timely manner and I didn’t feel hassled at all waiting for my food. Honestly, this place is a food court type korean restaurant but it almost feels like full service. I had a great experience and will definitely be coming back sometime soon! It is a great price for what you get, tastes amazing and the staff are friendly and funny. It’s even very conveniently located within Uwajimaya. I have no complaints and full recommendations.

Absolutely my favorite bibimbap place in Seattle. I have been going here for years. Ike is awesome, his chefs are great also, and his wife who we normally do not see on the weekends is super nice as well. Go here, try the hot stone bowl, and enjoy! Especially great in the cold and damp of winter months, and I usually do not eat spicy, but the spicy here is not that bad for me, and always helps if I am stuffed up that day.

I seriously can’t stop thinking about the bibimbap I had here. I wasn’t expecting so much from it as it was located in a food court but the service & taste completely blew my mind away. If you get to the uwajimaya Asian market, try not to get distracted by the other food store available. This treasure lol is located at the very corner right opposite the deli store. I have been here twice and I had the kalbi plate and bibimbap hot stone bowl! It took them about 15mins to get my food ready. While I was waiting, I was offered a radish or miso soup. When my food arrived it was so beautifully presented & still sizzling in the hot bowl with smoke coming out. The cashier helped mixed it with spicy or soy sauce & sesame oil. If you’ve had bibimbap before you would know, you have to let it sit for some few seconds before mixing it to get that crispy bottom! Yesss! I am salivating talking about this right now lol The cashier did it just right! My bibimbap was so crispy at the bottom, tasted so good!, and was enough to fill me up! Good lord did I have a feast! Lol Considering the the fact that it cost less than $ 10, I would for sure visit again & recommend it.

Great food and with friendly service! I recommend the BBQ beef or chicken if you’ve got an appetite. Definitely check this place out if you’re in the area.

Bibimbap is insanely good! Radish soup really hits the spot on a rainy day. Staff are great and full of humour.

Excellent first time experience trying Korean food. The guy at the counter is more than half the experience — very informative & highly entertaining! My 14 year old girls loved it!

This is my third time here and I have yet to be disappointed. Friendly and funny staff with grubbin food. Bibimbap has been superb every time I have gotten it, however I have also had the Korean bbq beef and chicken and both of those were good. Prices are very reasonable with most dishes under 10 dollars and believe me they will fill you up. I will be back again! Love this place~

Bibimbap in stone bowl. I recommend spicy pork or beef. Let them add the hot sauce and mix it up for you. Don’t forget to have a cold drink nearby. Have a sweat towel too. Then, just enjoy. It’s worth the wait. That is, if you are a spicy Korean stone bowl kind of a person. Otherwise, don’t bother with this establishment.

NONONONONONONONONONONONO. I’m from New York and I came to Seattle for vacation and I was really craving Korean food and I couldn’t find any Korean restaurants near by so this was my last resort. There was this guy that was standing not behind, but right next to the counter that took our order and once we sat down, he was checking me and my sister out and we felt really uncomfortable. Then when our food finally came, the first thing I saw was the poor presentation and the weird smell(I ordered a kimchi bokkeumbap). I tried the pickled radish and it had a horrible taste to it, it was still white, it was like they just cut up the radish and dipped in in the red hot pepper sauce. They used big chunks of kimchi for the rice and it wasn’t mixed well so you could taste the kimchi and the rice apart, everything was just horrible I couldn’t finish it. Then again i’m from New York and i’ve tried authentic korean food, so its just not the same as eating korean food from a supermarket made by non experienced korean chefs.

NO! HORRIBLE! If I could rate zero, I would do so! Last night I purchased 2 Korean Barbecue plates and 1 bowl of soup. Upon check out I asked for a receipt for my book keeping. The male cashier exploded. He asked why I needed the receipt. He continued asking if I didn’t trust him. He spent a few minutes writing up the receipt. When I received the receipt the tax was included in the meal and not separately listed. He corrected the receipt but berated me while doing so. He said, «Didn’t I validate your parking?» Sarcastically. I simply responded I needed a receipt for my book keeping. I am not sure why he was acting this way? Maybe he was taking money from the till? Or evading paying his taxes? I don’t know. I will never ever return to this establishment. The food? I don’t know. I threw it away. He was so angry making my food I didn’t feel comfortable eating it. I am contacting the owner and BBB, and also the health department. They weren’t wearing gloves… both handling food and money at the same time.

Much better since the last time we went. I ordered Tonkatsu(pork katsu, but they also have chicken). It’s my favorite Asian dish and I’ve had it at multiple different places. Theirs was very good. The sauce wasn’t what I was expecting, but very tasty. The boyfriend ordered Bibimbap. This was his first time and so the owner/manager/head-honcho explained to him how to eat it. You can tell he was very passionate about the food. He was a really nice guy. Both meals came with soup. The Miso was very simple and refreshing but the other one(had cabbage in it I think) was not appealing to me, but the boyfriend like it. Only reason I’m giving it 4 out of 5 is because the stools were a bit uncomfortable to sit on. I stood to eat my meal. But that might just be ’cause my butts too big. lol Overall a very good experience.

For a food court restaurant, this is as good it gets. I took a star away because their tofu soup wasn’t very good(maybe they don’t use MSG). Spicy pork bbq was on point, authentic, cheap, and the portions were huge. Recomended. No Amex but credit cards are accepted.

This place is located next to a supermarket just in the middle of ChinaTown of Seattle Downtown. The meals are affordable and the taste is equally good. The person taking our order is such a character, I believe he is the owner, but he completes the experience of this place! He even gave me a free bowl of soup so I won’t be left out, because my other friends got soup with their meal. Pay this place a visit if you like affordable Korean BBQ, this is a perfect place for a quick lunch. Then grab some groceries afterward. There are plenty of seating around in the main cafeteria. you don’t need to sit in their high stools that are somewhat slippery. *one of the pictures says«Giza», it’s actually Gyoza, but iPhone auto correct changed it.
