From beginning to end, Shooby Doo was absolutely amazing to work with! Kelsey, Todd and Shubert made our wedding the best it could be!
Our wedding was at Delille Cellars. They have a preferred catering list and if you deviated from the list they asked that you pay an additional 500.00 fee. I got several quotes and we tried a few different menus but I wasn’t really excited about any of them. The food was good but it wasn’t great and my family is made up of all foodies. Then I did a tasting at Shooby Doo. The food was amazing! My husband loved that he could cut his filet mignon with a fork, it was so tender. The best part was, even with having to pay the 500.00 fee, they were still less expensive!
After signing the contract we went ahead and did another tasting to decide on the final food list. We chose: Parmesan Tartlets; Potato Cups with Smoked Salmon, Sour Cream and Chives; Proscuitto Wrapped Prawns; and Crab Cakes for appetizers. For dinner, the guests had their choice of two salads: Spinach Salad or Berry Salad; and 3 entrees: Quartered Chicken finished with Lemon and Thyme; Filet Mignon with a Red Wine, Green Peppercorn Glaze; and Wild NorthWest Salmon with a Red Pepper Cream Sauce. The food was out of this world amazing!!!
As the RSVP’s started to come in we had some issues with a couple guests that we didn’t forsee. One woman was a vegetarian and we didn’t know that, another was dairy free, while another was gluten free. Shooby Doo had no problem accommodating these requests and it was at no additional charge to us. I was shocked! They were so flexible!
When it came to rentals, they went above and beyond again! We were getting most of our rentals from Cort. However we weren’t a fan of the tablecloths or napkins Cort had. Shooby Doo was willing to go all the way the Pederson’s Rentals in south Seattle to pick up the tablecloths and napkins we fell in love with down there and return them for us! They are amazing!!!

Stellar! No other word comes to mind when Shu and his team are working your event. From start to finish everything is on point. People are still raving over the food at our wedding and how friendly and attentive all of the staff were! If you want the best, go with the best!

We hired Shooby Doo Catering for our wedding and they were fantastic across the board! They offered ideas and suggestions that were perfect! The food was out of this world! Great price point! I can’t say enough about the servers at the wedding. They were incredibly professional and always there to refill glasses! Thank you Shooby for making our dream wedding come true!

We used them for the office I work for and wow they were impressive. They made our grand opening awesome! The customer service was incredible and really accommodating! If I had any changes in my order or questions they were soo kind of really taking care of any issues. The food was spectacular and our guest left no survivors. I would totally use them again!!!

THE. FOOD. WAS. AMAZING. Shooby Doo did the catering for our wedding a year ago and we still get compliments on how delicious it was. Our 80 guests had the parmesan tartlets, potato cups with smoked salmon, caesar salad, berry salad, chicken piccata, short rib roast, seasoned potatoes and green beans. Nobody went home hungry!
Schubert and his team were so helpful, from the tasting, answering emails quickly, all the way to accommodating picky children! They provided the linens, plates, pipe and drape and stemware. To help with costs, my husband and I provided our own alcohol and Schubert was great about recommendations on what alcohol to purchase and the quantity to make it a full bar experience. The staff were professional, friendly and were quick to respond to guests needs. When it came time for the toast, they handed out the champagne efficiently to all the guests and provided non-​alcoholic drinks to those who requested in advance.
Shooby Doo staff also transitioned the room from ceremony to reception space in a matter of minutes as we took group photos outside. They emailed in advance to have my husband and I plan the best layout and it was delivered seamlessly.

I chose this catering company purely based on Unilocal rating for my daughter’s high school graduation party. I ordered food for 50 people with dinner menu and 3 appetizers. And yet I seriously do not recommend this company to anyone for any kind of gathering.
I communicated 4 different people based on the day and time of the day I questioned. It was confusing and not organized.
Worst of all, I’d realized they didn’t even bring a salad dressing after delivery person left my house. So I served salad without dressing !!!
After talking to the owner of business, I have realized that in fact they provided salad dressings which delivery staff told me it was for flat iron steak. So, it means the staff did not even know about the menu. After all, I served wrong sauce for flat iron steak and salad without dressing. Anyway, they were not prepared and not trained well.
I do not think it’s last minute order at all. I inquired information on ⁵⁄₁ and contacted them to order food on ⁶⁄₈ for ⁶⁄₁₄^th event. In the Meantime, I was given wrong prices and ridiculous quantity on chafers and so on.
I have contacted other catering company in Seattle and Kirkland area with one week notice too. And they were very friendly and sincere. In fact, they were very helpful and professional. I didn’t go with other catering company just because of Unilocal rating on Shooby Doo which is not true at all.

Shooby Doo catered our wedding reception at Trilogy. What everyone has written here is absolutely true! Shooby Doo does excellent food; beautifully and professionally presented. As the bride, pretty much the only time I tasted the food was at the tasting samples they offered when we were selecting Shooby Doo months earlier. It’s true, they kindly prepared a lovely plate of food for me at our reception but we were just so busy! However, we’ve been hearing from all of our guests what awesome food we had at the reception.
We did ‘heavy appetizers’ because it was dinner time but we didn’t want the vibe of a sit-​down dinner – we wanted a big party vibe, and did Shooby deliver! There was an abundance of food – they definitely plan to get all your guests fed. They had the glasses of champagne ready for 90 guests when it was time for toasts (a nod to their speedy and professional servers!). They kept finding me and giving me a fresh glass of club soda & lime when they found me. They even took care to offer our DJ food – I appreciate this thoughtfulness!
We could not have been happier with Shooby Doo. They were a class act and created the wedding reception of our dreams.

Shooby Doo catered my wedding @ Urban Light Studios on November 30, 2014, and BLEW EVERYONE AWAY.
First, Callie was our contact person throughout the process. She was amazing. So helpful with recommendations, and really took over to help organize, set up, and take down everything at the wedding. She voiced great ideas at our 10-​day meeting to ensure everything was smooth for our big day.
The food was HEAVENLY. We had pork with stuffed herbs, steak with salsa, asparagus, salad with blue cheese and pears, and dinner rolls. EVERY SINGLE PERSON at our wedding said the food was phenomenal. We seriously wish our guests would have eaten less, so we could have had more leftovers to take home:)
The servers were also FANTASTIC. I wish we would have gotten everyone’s names. They stuck to our timeline; set up beautiful tables, cooked delicious food throughout the ceremony (and were quiet), organized our Doughnut Tower for dessert, made stiff alcoholic beverages, purchased additional alcohol when we ran out (with our permission first), and then broke down EVERYTHING, while also making sure to box up the little leftovers we had, and all of our important wedding keepsakes.
They were organized. They were all amazing and smiling throughout the entire evening.
WE CAN’T THANK SHOOBY ENOUGH!

I could not be happier with Shooby Doo. We had two consulting meetings that were extremely helpful. They answered all our questions to our satisfaction (and gave us a tasting of available menu items)
On the day of the wedding reception, the staff set up their equipment incredibly efficiently, and during the reception, they had one staff member taking care of me (the bride). Every fifteen minutes or whenever he saw I wasn’t busy, he would come up and check to see if I needed another drink, or a glass of water, or anything else.
Everyone expressed amazement at how good the food was, and at the end of the reception, there was literally a rush to get the leftovers.
I don’t remember what his name was, but the chef? even checked in with me at the end of the reception to make sure I liked how everything went. The caterers also broke everything down with remarkable speed.

Oh my gosh, where to even begin with this review.
I was just floored with how amazing and approachable these people were. It started by just their willingness to offer suggestions and take the lead on things. We used them for our wedding and I just wasn’t the type of bride that wanted to babysit every step. When I asked for ideas or told them to do what they thought was appropriate in instances they did, with my tastes at heart.
Their customer service never slipped, even when I eliminated some pricey things from the menu. When I met with one of their representatives to finalize details prior to the wedding she offered such amazing advice about even about services they weren’t providing! Like how much alcohol to bring and when to have the cake arrive.
At the wedding is where they were so great I could have cried. First and foremost, I got so many compliments on the food. People were going on and on about how they never had better food at a wedding. Some of my coworkers came to the wedding and still talk about the food, two months later. We got left overs and we were in heaven for days after the wedding, reheating them out of the freezer — some caterers we talked to didn’t even want us to keep leftovers!
But probably the moment that stands out most to me was this gentleman with silvery hair who was working with them on the wedding day — we came out of the these double doors after talking pictures in the sun for two hours prior to the ceremony and I was an emotional, exhausted mess. As I rounded the corner he approached me with a water with a lemon in it and said, «You look beautiful, it’s warm outside, I thought you could use this.» And honestly… It was just what I needed when I thought I would collapse from all the excitement leading up to that moment.
After that, he throughout the day asking me if I needed anything and I just got the sense they all cared so much. At one point we waited by the door of the kitchen getting ready to walk down the aisle and a young staff member congratulated us and told us everything would be perfect for us. They were just kind people.
Then, finally, the venue commended us on how clean everything was when we left. They even mopped! We got our full deposit back on the venue and my parents didn’t lift a finger in cleaning.
I can’t thank or recommend this caterer enough. They blew me away. The price, the service, the quality… We weren’t a rich bride and groom but they made us feel like it. You can’t go wrong here.

Mother of the Bride here… Shooby Doo did an excellent job catering my daughter Lauren and Saul’s wedding at The Antheia Ballroom in Snohomish this last week, March 27, 2014. Although it was a venue they had not worked at before, they showed up on time, found their way around like experts, were completely helpful and responsive during a very hectic time. The food was excellent. We had many wonderful comments from the guests about how amazing the food was! We had appetizers on the patio and a full buffet dinner. Chicken Marsala and the Braised Short Rib with sides. Several people told me it was the best beef they had ever eaten in their entire lives! The service was as good as it gets. They were so helpful and professional. We had their bartender pour and serve and he was very friendly and professional as well. Highly recommended.

Best caterer in town! My husband and I had Shooby Doo cater our wedding in August and they were amazing! Shubert and his staff were wonderful– the food was delicious and the service was impeccable! Buffets at weddings are usually meh. Nothing too special, something you forget about after a week. Our guests are still talking about the food we had to this day!
From day one, I was impressed with Shubert. He was prompt with his responses and provided me with all the details I was asking for. When we met with him for our tasting, we decided then and there to pay the security deposit to book them. Working out our menu options was a breeze and we eve added dessert at the last minute with no trouble! My husband and I also loved that we were able to BYO alcohol — they provided us with a bartender and we ended up saving quite a bit going that route! Our venue didn’t include any kind of rentals but Shubert took care of it all as well, from delivery, to set up, to breakdown. I don’t know what we would’ve done without them!
Do yourself a favor and meet with Shubert at the very least — he was a godsend for us and you won’t regret it!

Come to find, Chef opened up Bar Dojo in Edmonds! Must go try it.

I’m so happy Shooby Doo catered our wedding! We knew from our tasting that the food would be fantastic but the positive energy and attention to detail they exhibited was far beyond anything we could have imagined. Everyone on their team was thoughtful and caring.
We did rentals through them and they managed all of the furniture placement just right. They were very flexible when our schedule started slipping and made some quick changes in plans to better accommodate our guests. Urban Light Studios is surely a tricky venue to work in with all its nooks and crannies but the staff at Shooby knows it so well they make it look easy.
At the end of the night, as I was thanking everyone, one of the bartenders told me about how much he enjoys his job and his coworkers. If you like surrounding yourself with happy, highly competent people, Shooby Doo are the caterers for you!

Shubert and the entire staff were incredible to work with – incredibly professional and friendly. The food was delicious, they were totally willing and excited to work with the concept we had for our wedding reception, and all our guests commented on how great the food was. Cakes and cookies were especially a hit. For all the wonderfulness, they were more affordable than any of the other caterers we considered for the event, and they were even willing to work with us to keep costs within our budget.

My husband and I went with Shooby Doo as our wedding caterer service and we couldn’t be happier. Shubert and his staff were not only pleasant, timely and professional during the event, but they were extremely easy to work with during the planning process leading up to the big day.
Planning our wedding 3,000 miles away wasn’t easy to begin with, but Shubert and his team made planning the menu seamless. Our wedding coordinator (my sister-​in-​law) said that everyone on the Shooby Doo team was professional and attentive from start to finish.
And the food was DELICIOUS! The braised short ribs and grilled salmon were mouthwatering. (My husband doesn’t eat seafood and even he liked the fish!) We had wild rice pilaf, arugula salad and roasted root veggies which were all fantastic. Shooby Doo was extremely accommodating our every need: our nephews attending the wedding have food allergies and the chef easily made alternative plates for the boys. The cakes the baker create were also delicious: carrot spice cake, red velvet with cream cheese frosting, and two types of chocolate. She was also able to make sugar cookies with our wedding logo imprinted with frosting.
For a late-​night snack, we had beef sliders and popcorn with truffle oil – yummy!!!

Shooby Doo catered our rehearsal dinner, and it was perfection!
The staff was wonderful, and attentive… my wine glass was never empty! They were gracious with any request and were simply excellent, and kept in touch with me about my needs.
We chose to go with heavy appetizers, and all the guests loved the food and complimented the menu. We brought a cake and they were kind enough to not only cut and serve it, but boxed up each additional piece left over for our guests to take with them.
Great service and a wonderful night! Highly recommended for any catered event.

Shooby Doo catered our wedding a couple of weeks back, and I must say, it was impressive from start to finish. Shubert met with us at a shared kitchen space (with meeting rooms) in Queen Anne and prepared samples of all the dishes we had asked about. Here’s the menu we went with:
Appetizers (apologies for all-​caps — the lack of rich text support in Unilocal made me look to other options to make this review a bit easier to read, especially below):
–FRIED SHISHITO PEPPERS
–RED WINE BRAISED SHORT RIB TARTLETS
–PROSCIUTTO AND PEAR CHUTNEY RISOTTO CAKE
Regarding the appetizers, my now-​wife and I were far too busy with photos during cocktail hour, and neglected to send one of our respective party members upstairs to snag us some food, so we didn’t get to try these. But they were gone in under 20 minutes, and it was not for lack of preparation. While the bulk of the complements were about the meal, I did hear a fair amount of praise about the appetizers as well.
Buffet menu:
–BERRY SALAD (fresh summer berries, greens, raspberry vinaigrette with sliced almonds and goat cheese) — Tasty and fresh like you wouldn’t believe.
–BRAISED PORK SHOULDER WITH BELL PEPPER RELISH — The relish is nicely minced and had a naturally sweet flavor when we initially tried it — we asked him to dial up the spiciness a bit, which gave it just the right tiny kick along with the sweetness. This was my favorite item by far on the menu. The pork was so tender and moist that you could slice it with a fork.
–WILD NORTHWEST SALMON — I’ll just say this was acceptable, but that’s really only because I loved the pork so much. This was one of the few items my wife had time to eat during the reception, and she couldn’t stop singing its praises. For my part, I grew up in the area, and I’ve seen salmon screwed up about a thousand different ways. To see a piece properly cooked with a nice flavor is impressive and most welcome.
–ROASTED FINGERLING POTATOES and GRILLED JUMBO ASPARAGUS — Speaking of things I’ve seen screwed up about a thousand times, I brought these both up with Shubert as items that I’ve seen ruined by either being too tiny and stringy, or sitting out in a chafing dish for too long. These were both perfectly done (even down to the selection of the thicker asparagus), and the servers were very much on top of the buffet to make sure there was only as much fresh product out as there needed to be.

Our cake came from a bakery in West Seattle called Baked, which I’ll be reviewing separately — but Shooby Doo’s servers did a fine job of cutting and plating it, and didn’t charge us anything extra (apart from paying the servers) to do so. Ditto the champagne pour.
Their bartender did a solid job, and had no issue with pouring the booze we provided — although your mileage may vary on this (while Shooby Doo doesn’t have any such restrictions as of this writing, your venue may. Be sure to ask!).
Shooby Doo’s equipment vendor, ABC Party Rentals, did a *mostly* solid job. I’m inclined to be charitable to them in this review because we made a number of changes to the lineup as close as a week prior to the wedding. We rented tables, chairs, a handful of linens, a baby high chair, and all of the dining materials (flatware, silverware, glassware). Of the hundreds of items we rented, only a few didn’t show up immediately, and ABC immediately went back for them. The only showstopper was that our ceremony table didn’t show up until it was too late to be of any use, so we had to make do with a cocktail table instead (which was a bit wobbly for our taste).
Shubert was quite apologetic for the issues, and was willing to work with us on other cost savings rather than spar with the rental company over a matter of $ 30 – 40, which seemed reasonable.
All in all, dealing with Shubert has been an absolute pleasure. He doesn’t apply any pressure whatsoever with the party rentals — whether or not he’s getting a commission for using them, he certainly never acted like it, and he was able to offer the best rental prices we could find anyway. He is a quick and reliable communicator via email or phone, and was always quick to get back to us when we had questions or needed to adjust the rental contract. Notwithstanding the minor hiccups above, I was completely satisfied with their performance up to and on the day, and I would highly recommend Shooby Doo to anyone looking to have a delicious meal and a smooth experience for their special day.

Shooby Doo catered our wedding a few weeks back, and although I barely remember most of the wedding night, I do remember the food! The service was great, the food was delicious, and overall they were incredibly friendly and easy to work with. They took care of the tricky «flip» of the house from ceremony and reception, all of the rentals for linens, dishes, and silverware. They even cleaned up for us at the end of the night. One of my friends told me a few days later that he was «still dreaming about the chicken marsala,» it was SOOOO GOOD. I’m sad that I missed the passed appetizers portion of the night because we escaped with the wedding party for drinks — but all of the guests have raved about the deliciousness!
To top it off, Shubert recommended a restaurant to us in Napa Valley during our honeymoon, and it was one of the most amazing meals we’ve had!
Love these guys! If you get married at Urban Light Studios, especially, GET THESE GUYS TO CATER!
