Description

Specialties

Welcome to Skylark Café & Club, West Seattle’s premier music venue and restaurant offering live music, a full bar, delicious food and so much more! Dubbed «The Place to be in West Seattle» by CultureMob, we are conveniently located just minutes from downtown at the northern end of Delridge Way SW, next to the West Seattle Bridge.

Divine Slice says «Come for the tater tots, stay for the live music.» Our from-scratch menu includes something for all ages, from the house ground burgers and smoked meats, to our popular weekend brunch! Five nights a week we book a variety of original music including indie rock, pop, electronica, Americana, folk, punk, metal, experimental, jazz– anything you can think of! Our intimate venue is well loved by musicians and guests alike for the sound quality and terrific sight lines. Additionally, we host Seattle’s Best Open Mic every Wednesday at 9 PM, Baby Ketten Karaōke on Tuesdays, and Alauda Freeform Bellydance every third Tuesday!

History

Established in 2006.

Jessie SK moved to West Seattle in 1997, and started a band in 1998. While other neighborhoods had their share of venues, it seemed that the peninsula-in spite of being home to many rock stars-was oddly lacking in stages for original music. When Madison’s Café was put up for sale, she had just left Amazon.com after eight intense years of web design and was searching citywide for a cozy space to recreate the charm of erstwhile venues such as the OK Hotel and Sit ‘n’ Spin. Noise complaints were big news at the time, and this location was not only next to a noisy steel mill, but conveniently located right off the West Seattle Bridge. So with the tireless help and expertise of friends and family too numerous to mention, Skylark was born and named for the 1965 white Buick Skylark of Jessie’s childhood.
