Snow Day Farms is an online business that provides customers in the Greater Seattle Area the opportunity to order a freshly harvested Christmas trees and wreaths and have them delivered for FREE to their front door. Our trees are locally grown in Washington state, hand-​selected, and cut-​to-​order to ensure that each customer receives «the perfect tree.»

Noble or Grand Firs are available to order up to 10 feet in height, as are holiday wreaths, tree stands, and the option of tree recycling after the holidays.

Free delivery is made possible by Zipcar and is available on the Friday or Saturday of the customer’s choosing between Thanksgiving and Christmas. Tree recycling is available during the first week of January.

10% of all Snow Day Farms sales benefit the Boys and Girls Clubs of King County; contributing to their scholarship funds which allow over 16,000 youth to participate in their programs.

History

Established in 2013.

Neil Bergquist, the founder of Snow Day Farms explains that, «After last year’s Guinness World Record Snowball Fight, we began searching for a new fun and creative way to raise money for the Boys and Girls Clubs. Snow Day Farms, an idea originally conceived while attending business school at Willamette University, seemed like an intuitive fit. Growing up, our family loved the u-​cut farm experience but now that we’re older, we just want the perfect tree without having to drive an hour and half to find it.»

Socially-​conscious consumers appreciate a high-​quality product that also has a heart: ten percent of every purchase supports the Boys and Girls Clubs of King County. Snow Day Farms is also partnering with other local organizations to deliver Christmas trees to families that might not otherwise be able to afford them.

Business Owner

Neil is a Washington native and a socially-​motivated, customer-​centric entrepreneur. He and his team have focused many of their efforts on supporting local organizations through World Record events (e.g. Snow Day and Party Camp), as well as other fun, social ventures that not only bring large communities together, but also benefit worthy causes.

Also the Director at SURF Incubator, Neil is dedicated to advancing the ideas and passions of technology-​focused entrepreneurs. SURF supports entrepreneurs with educational resources, work space, peer-​to-​peer collaboration and access to a network of technical talent, mentors, investors, advocates and industry partners. The company aspires to strengthen the power of this community through strategic partnerships with complimentary organizations and people who are passionate about technology and entrepreneurship
