We are a locally-​owned and family-​run business, with two locations in the greater Seattle Area. We have free parking available at all locations. Our goal is to offer an outstanding selection of gear for «standing sideways» to all people, regardless of skill level. Customer service and product selection are our top priorities, and we offer a very flexible return policy. We specialize in snowboards, snowboard service, snowboard rentals, skateboards, longboards, surfboards, wetsuits, clothing, women’s clothing, men’s clothing, streetwear, sunglasses, watches, and headphones.

History

Established in 1990.

We started our first store in 1990, on the corner of Alaskan Way and S Main, in Pioneer Square. Four years later we moved to the corner of Alaskan Way and Yesler, where we lived until 2007. In 2006 we opened our store in downtown Bellevue, and have since moved two blocks to our current location on Main and 107th. In 2006 we opened our new, flagship location in Seattle at 263 Yale Ave N, across from REI. We currently have those two stores, as well as our website — www​.sno​con​.com.

Along the way we have made lots of friends, solved lots of problems and ridden lots of powder. Our mission is to help any and all peoples with their sideways-​riding needs. We have over 100 years combined experience in our stores, and we are here to help you out!

I was born in LA, raised in the southwest, but I am happiest in the great Northwest! I’ve been skateboarding since 197?, snowboarding since 1990, and surfing since 1996. Boardsports have been a part of my life since the start, and I love to share the history and stoke with my friends and customers. My original plans included becoming a psychologist. That got derailed while I was in college and I learned how to snowboard. I decided that would be my focus, and it has been ever since. I finished my degree in 1994 at UNM, and then moved to Seattle in 1990 to work for Snocon and John Logic. The rest, as they say, is history…

I rarely shop anywhere else for snowboard gear. This is by far the best snowboard shop in Washington.
Their inventory is massive, and their frequent sales always keep me coming back. Employees always nice and helpful (shoutout to Johnny). If you want great gear at good prices and want to support the locals, shop here. Or don’t (and be a kook).

Breck is awesome and the whole staff is for that matter. Very patient and knowledgeable. I’m new to snowboarding, and I walked out of there very comfortable with my purchase and will be back to buy a board soon!

Hands down the best ski n snowboard shop around.
Staff is friendly an knowledgeable. Really cool styles to choose from which are top notch in quality too.
The repair shop has fixed my board many times over the years and I’ve never had a problem with any of them. Affordable and quick.
I usually park across the street at REI parking lot which is free for first hour and just $ 2 for 1 – 3 hours. Unless I’m there on a Sunday. Then street parking is free all day.
They often have really good sales at the end of each season that I always check out too.
Been shopping here for over ten years!

I walked in over the weekend on 12÷22÷13 afternoon looking for a snowboard for someone just starting out.
I was browsing snowboards when i was approached by one sales boy/​guy and he asked If i needed help. I said yes, i need someone to assist me in picking a snowboard for a beginner.
He said oh let me get someone for you and seemed not be able to assist me. That was weird, he was strolling around the store in snowboard section but didnt know about snowboards.
5 Min later no one shows up to help me. A different staff asks if I need help, I said the same thing. He says oh ok let me take this phone call and i will be back with you shortly. Instead he goes behind the store and continues assisting some other folks. It looks like he just briefly paused to ask me if i needed help yet genuinely wasnt interested at all.
Behind the counter at Snowboard section 2 other store staff guys stood there watching Seahawks game on TV but didnt bother coming to help me.
This wouldnt have been a big deal if I was into Snowboarding and I knew what i wanted, i would have walked in and bought the gear without requesting for help
The first 2 staff were teenagers working in the store and it seemed they had very little customer service skills. The 2 other guys watching TV were older but were more focused on Seahawks game on TV then helping a customer.
Anyways I walked out of the store — the girl who was by the door when I entered and had greeted me, said bye /​have a good day so that was the only positive I came across. I went to REI across the road where i got assisted promptly and bought my gear.
I don’t know why my experience was this, maybe I didn’t dress cool enough to be taken as serious snowboarding customer or that I looked like a minority
But I m not going back to this store again!

Great service and attitude and knowledgeable staff. I went in to buy a new pair of boots thinking I know what I wanted and what size I was. I was fitted, and a different model was suggested I had never heard of. The new boot is very stiff which is what I wanted and fits even better than the brand I was going to buy originally. Thank you!
Johnny went out of his way to help me get the boot fitted right and spent over 2 hours with me trying on over a half dozen boot models and sizes. I have a custom ski boot fitting background and to have a guy at a snowboard shop understand custom boot fitting concepts and potentially reshaping the booth shell and/​or liner is awesome. If you have boot fit issues, go into SnoCon and ask for Johnny.

I like the selection and the prices, but don’t expect great customer service from all of their employees. I was looking for some boots and nobody bothered to help me at all. I asked for help, but the girl that was free didn’t bother to ask who was first. Instead, she helped some other dude with boots.
I waited patiently for about 15 – 20 minutes without any acknowledgement and asked for some help. Told me to wait. In the end, I just stood up and left the store.
Perhaps I didn’t look like a typical snowboarder, I was in a dress slacks and a tie that day. I ended up going to EVO to purchase my boots. Customer Service is wonderful there.

Went in to Sno-​Con today not expecting them to really have much snowboarding stuff in stock since it’s mid April. I figured we would find what we needed and then have to order it online in order to get a decent price. Uhhhh… apparently I steeped into a parallel dimension where the salespeople totally go out of their way to get you the right gear and the right size. Dovin (?) literally spent 2 hours getting my girlfriend the correct boot in the correct size. He even heated them up and shaped them to fit her feet. While we waited for them to cool, he even offered us a beer. No, I’m not kidding. As long as we were there I figured I’d get our boards waxed. Most places have a three day turn around but Johnny said he’d do them while we waited for the boots to get heated and shaped. I brought them in and when he saw them he was like WTF is this black crap all over the bottom? I was like, uhhhhhh… Apparently it was tree sap. He told me it would cost a little extra to clean that off… yeah I’m thinking like $ 50 per board for the clean and wax. Nope, $ 40 for the pair. These guys are really good at what they do and they go way out of their way to make sure you’re happy. In the end we got the $ 280 boots for $ 112.
I went to EVO at the beginning of the season and bought a jacket. The first time I wore it the zipper broke. They said that because I had removed the tags, they would only give me store credit even though they didn’t have any other jackets in the store that would fit me. I had to fight and argue with them for 4 months and get VISA involved before I finally got my money back.
If you are looking for an excellent store that will take excellent care of you and value you as a customer, go to Sno-​Con!!!

Very friendly folks here at SnoCon, and they have a great website to check out their goods online. Apparently they have a store on the lame side of Lake Washington, but I’ve only been to the one across from REI in Seattle.
My favorite part about SnoCon is that their entire stock is online and you can order there and pick it up at the store. They also have good seasonal sales which I have to admit is the only time I shop there :-) If you are looking for outdoor clothes, shoes, hats, and are shopping at REI across the street… I highly recommend checking out SnoCon first: you may find what you need at a cheaper price.

SnoCon did not disappoint. I came in here stoked and ready to ride, they rented me some sick bindings when I was binding-​less for a while, sold my wife some bindings from the demo pile for a great deal, and have a pretty good selection of stomp pads and leashes (which were in short supply late 2011 season for some reason).
The staff are knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. I chatted with them for quite a while, and they were still attentive to other customers’ needs.
Just a heads-​up to prospective customers: they don’t carry Flow bindings. Get your gear here, and if you NEED Flows (I’m a fan, many aren’t), just pick them up across the street, NBD.

Forget behemoth REI across the street for your snowboard/​skateboarding gear. Come to Snowboard Connection, for a small corner-​store shop with a decent selection of hardgoods and softgoods, and not just Burton! You can expect to find Volcom, GNU, Lib Tech, Airblaster, Capita, Union, DC, Nixon as well as a few other brands. The staff are super friendly and are more than willing to help as well as providing any advice on local mountains to hit. And I’m glad to say they know their stuff about the industry.
If you also happen to come during one of their sales, expect to score some awesome deals. In a snowboard industry that has dropped drastically in the past few years, Snowbaord Connection has put the stoke back into snowboarding, by offering some low-​priced gear. I wish all local shops could be like this, especially in these times when manufacturers place limits on how much third-​party companies can discount their merchandise. Snowboard Connection, I’m rooting for you!

This is THE place to shop for all your snow/​ski/​skate/​surf needs. Also have a great selection of clothing you can’t really find anywhere in Seattle. They carry some of my favorites: Toms, RVCA, Sitka, Nikita to name a few.

SNOWBOARD HEAVEN.
Been shopping all day looking for my board. In town for the holidays and shopping around for that specific snowboard. All my gazillion friends from 206 have recommended this place. Many calls, texts, and facebook messages to go to here.
Store itself is very nice and organized. They wax boards (that’s a plus). And they have a variety of snowboard. Even for little kids as small as 6yrs old. They had alot of brands for snowboard equipment and gear but they didnt have the board I was looking for. I was literally expecting something at this store but they looked it up in their system and said that this yr they didn’t carry the Burton Lux snowboard. BLAH.
Will I be back? This shop had alot of great items for snowboarding. i may need to come back and buy other things.

I don’t even snowboard* and I love this place.
My boyfriend and I drove by SnoCon and we saw racks of clothing outside for 60−70% off. They had tons of 2010 – 2011 snowboarding/​heavy jackets and pants, along with a few base layer tops. My bf got a bright yellow pair of snowboarding pants. I ended up picking up a snowboarding jacket myself in addition to a Patagonia base layer top.
The prices were too good to pass up — after 70% our three items only came out to slightly over $ 100 total. That’s amazing because a jacket itself is usually ~$ 150-​$ 200
The inside area is pretty cool too — there’s so much snowboarding clothing here. There were also some skater shoes and skater gear (including skateboards) for sale here.
Since I’m not knowledgeable in snowboarding gear, I can’t comment on how good the gear is or the prices (I know, I’m lame). But I do think the staff are really chill and nice. Great store, and come here when they do their sales because their deals are unbelievable!

I don’t think I’m allowed to use the words I’d like to on Unilocal so here’s the edited version…
I entered the store and began to walk around checking out clothes and working my way to the back to look at snowboards and equipment. I passed by 6 employees who didn’t acknowledge my presence, ask if I needed any help or give even the slightest hint that they cared about my business. They were all standing around BS’ing about some future trip to Vegas instead of doing their jobs with the exception of 1 guy who was stocking clothes while ignoring me.
Needless to say I didn’t purchase anything and will never return to this store.
EDIT: I am happy to say that one of the co-​owners contacted me through Unilocal and was very apologetic. Due to his follow up, concern and great attitude I will give them another shot next month when I’m in Seattle again. Thank you Adam!

I’m still a newbie so I am pretty impressed with the amount of snowboarding stuff they have compared to other larger retailers. I’ve been here a few times now so yes, lots of options from cloths to boots, boards, goggles ect.
The service was a little iffy though. I don’t wanna bother you guys from hanging out… A simple «Hi, welcome. Need any help finding anything?» would have been nice. Had it not been for a particular blond in pigtails (sorry, I forgot your name) I’d give this place 2 stars. Thanks for going out of your way to help me and two other people at the same time while the rest slacked.

Whether you like winter sports or you want to look like you like winter sports, this is a great shop! I tend to come here for clothing and have been a happy shopper back from when they were in Pioneer Square. There’s women’s a brand I liked called Nikita and this is the only store in Seattle that carries it. (To my knowledge) And in all the years I’ve followed their clothes, I’ve also noticed that in addition to carrying Nikita, they carry quite a few pieces! Pretty impressive.
You can get anything here from watches to wallets to clothes, surf gear, skateboards, and more. A great alternative to REI next door.

OK selection of sports gear. In the winter I come for snowboarding gear, in the summer I come for surfing/​beach gear. Very small shop so they keep some stock in a nearby warehouse — but they are willing to go search for what you need there. Staff is always friendly.
They have a shop in the back for tune-​ups. They have great sales when changing seasons!
