Music was very important to us, and lots of DJs had the music and equipment .But only Soul’d Out Events had the style and professionalism we wanted.

I needed a pretty comprehensive set-​up for a private party I was responsible for putting together and was very impressed by Soul’d Out Events. Great service, extremely professional and a wide range of services to offer (DJ, lights, video, you name it). Do your research but know that Soul’d Out Events is on top of their game, highly recommended.

DJ Marty Mar… DJ DeadPanda… pretty much a big deal.
Nothin’ feels better than cuttin’ it up at a fly party. Getting your dance on is facilitated that much easier when your DJ is sick with it.
One thing these folks don’t lack is showmanship! Went to a pretty epic Unilocal even (Adrenaline Adventures, check the review) hosted by our amazing CM, the awesome Katy! Marty was decked out in a panda costume (complete with the head) and still spun like a pro!
I’ve worked in the club scene, hired DJs for clubs and parties in my past. One thing I can pride myself on is being able to tell when a DJ is dope… and when a DJ is whack. Impeccable beat matching, excellent transitions, and all done while wearing a big ass Panda head.
Dope man! Dope! You’ll see me vibin’ to him spinning all over the city, find him and I swear you won’t be without that party vibe.

I could write a book on why you need to work with Soul’d Out Events but the long and the short of it is… you’d be an idiot NOT to hire these guys!
I hosted a massive party recently and needed someone to help make the event an even bigger success. Typically when you think of DJ’s you think of someone showing up 2 mins before the event, plugging some stuff in and working until the exact minute they’ve agreed upon. With these guys, that is s far from the truth.
The crew rolled through 9 hours before the event to start setting up their equipment. Granted this was a big event but I couldn’t believe how professional and how well prepared these guys were. Not only were they interested in playing great music to a large crowd, they knew the success of the event depended heavily on creativity. Every piece of the party needed to be a success. Going all out, they helped execute the party by hosting a photo booth and setting up a big backdrop. All built just for this 3 hour event!
Sean made sure to ask about styles of music to play and was interested in catering to the needs of the guests. It was fantastic to find someone else that would work just as hard on their end to make sure people had fun and enjoyed themselves. I felt a huge burden lift off as soon as he and his guys came aboard the project. It was practically like hiring an event planner to partner with!
Just before the event Marty arrived to DJ and we’d planned for him to play in a panda suit. So this friggin’ rockstar comes out all dressed up and actually manages to play records dressed like a bear. All while also taking photos with guests at the party! People loved it and the comments I got later in the night were all related to the DJ in a panda suit.
So please… I urge you! Stop your Unilocal search, hire these guys, take a deep breath and relax. Your wedding, your birthday, your corporate event, or whatever you’re planning will be a huge success if you have these guys on your team. In fact, I don’t think there’s such thing as a real party without them.

Marty from Soul’d Out Events was AWESOME at our wedding last weekend. He was super flexible, extremely friendly and got our party going crazy despite the full bellies and heat on our upstairs dance floor. These guys are total professionals and are really open to whatever requests and suggestions you may have. He totally got the vibe we were looking for after we sent him a sample of the music we liked, and really blended the oldies, 80s and top 40 stuff together extremely well.
We already have friends and family from our wedding asking for Marty’s contact info. so that they can recommend him for future events — we highly recommend the Soul’d Out team and can’t thank Marty enough for making our wedding so much fun!

Just had DJ Marty at my wedding and he was great. Had a tough crowd of people visiting from NYC and many of them are DJ’s as well as other family and friends and everyone danced and had a great time. There was never a dull moment.

I started following Marty as a DJ from Monday nights at Moe Bar. After having the best dance parties five Mondays in a row I sought out Soul’d Out Events for a party I was having. Their music and their attitude brought all 150 people at my party on the dance floor for four hours straight. Yes my friends are fun, but it takes a special brand of personality to bring that vibe to a party regardless. I’ve already reserved them for my sister’s wedding next summer!

I’ve known these guys for a few years now and not only are they amazing DJ’s, but they’re also professional and know how to get things done. Whenever I hear anyone speaking of planning an event/​party and are in need of DJ’s, these guys are the first I think of. I would recommend them to anyone. And for sure the minute I need some kick ass (can I say ass on Unilocal!?) DJ’s, I will be hitting these guys up!

I’ve had the great fortune to work with the gentlemen from Soul’d Out Events on many occasions– from cocktail parties, to runway shows, to all out dancing frenzies. No matter the situation, this team has the passion, the creativity, and the talent to pull off a terrific show. Their comprehensive knowledge of every aspect of their trade is astounding, truly mind boggling.
Music makes or breaks an event. Hell, music makes or breaks a moment. These guys understand that. They live and breathe it. The only thing I like better than dancing to the jams these DJ’s put together is standing back to watch their focus in their relentless pursuit of great musical moments. This is magic at work.
It must also be said that though these guys are usually at the center of a party, they are consumate professionals, true class acts.
If I ever get around to settling down, this will be the company to set the mood for my wedding. And if things don’t work out in my favor and I happen to meet an untimely death, I hope my friends will have the good sense to liven up my funeral and make it a Soul’d Out Event.

This group is gold. Not only are they fantastic people but they have such a passion for what they do and how they do it. I have worked with Marty in the past several times and I highly recommended Soul’d Out Events. When SOE is on the scene you don’t have to worry about everyone having a great time… it happens. It’s magic. Like the kind of magic that makes your event THE event to remember. Hire them. You won’t be sorry. Promise. Pinky promise.

You know those people that eat, breathe and live what they do? Well this group right here is one of those. If there is a place where I want to have a good time, I will either book them or go to one of their events.
They may be new (ish) to Unilocal,but they are not new to what they do.
My first encounter with Sean was for my birthday 6 years ago. Since then I’ve been to numerous weddings, birthday’s, events that either Marty, Sean or Mike have played and also have had them play at my own events.
Needless to say, I call them a friend now, but that is the beauty of this group. Should you be a first time acquaintance or long time friend they will most likely treat you one and the same.
They are always on time and professional and truly interchangeable.
Support someone that eats, lives and breathes music 24 hours a day 7 days a week. Just do it.

look, i’m not gonna act like i don’t know these folks. these are my friends. take from that what you will.
on the other hand, i speak from experience. i’ve been a dj in the pacific northwest since the 80’s. sometimes it’s a glamorous job, sometimes it’s just hard work to keep smiling and sweating and acting like you’re having the best time of your life (when all you’d rather be doing is propping your feet up on the coffee table, taking in a blazer game).
setting things up can be hard. creating a fantastical environment for people to come and lose their worries can be challenging. promoting, making five-​minute friends and convincing folks that your party is going to be unmissable is damn near impossible.
once all the groundwork is done, i’m pretty good at doing the easy part. these guys are THE BEST at doing the groundwork. and once that’s done, they absolutely do a brilliant job at the easy part.
sean, marty and mike are terrific djs, genuine good-​time guys who know how to get you, your girl, and your weird aunt excited and light-​footed. martha… well, martha can handle promotion biz like none other. all of these guys are fun, party-​savvy, and pretty to have around.
and yeah, these guys are my friends, but i’ve also done plenty biz with them. once in a while, they rent out some of my sound system, and they handle friendship and biz with class and sophistication. i’m not blowing smoke here, if i wasn’t already friends with them… well, after the biz we did… i’da woulda become friends with them. i think that you will find these guys likable. honest. hard-​working, on the grind, and out to make everyone feel like the money spent was beyond worth it.
so yeah, i’d recommend them to you, my sister, and other total strangers. you have an event, a party, a milestone. i can point to many previous efforts these guys have had a hand in that came up total aces. i can’t think of a single person who’s ever been let down. these guys will make the hardest part of your night easy on you.

Sean Majors is a one of a kind DJ. He keeps up with the latest trends and tailors them to the crowd. When you hire Sean and Soul’d Out Events you need not worry about music any more. They have the equipment, the songs and the presentation.
I would definitely recommend Soul’d Out for any type of an event from a corporate party to a wedding.

I’m so glad Sean played my wedding. Everything was running smooth, all the special requests played, and we’re into the fun times, when my new mom-​in-​law informs me that the father of the groom isn’t feeling well but insists on dancing a slow one with me before retiring. I was mortified. We hadn’t planned on this as our event was intentionally less formal. I mentioned it to Sean and he said, «Don’t worry, I’ve got the perfect song, you’ll love it.» Not only was it perfect, but one that I already knew and loved. Every time I hear it, I remember how great it was to dance with the man who shaped the man I love. Thank you Sean, going on three years and the memory is priceless.

Just over 5 years ago this little company put on one hell of a party for my wife and I. I would recommend them for any event as they know how to put on a professional show and make sure everyone has a good time!
